[줄거리] 40년 전 ‘피의 전쟁’을 승리로 이끈 전설적인 용병대장 레이몬드 진, 그의 무용담은 이 세계에서는 아이들이 노래로 부를 정도로 유명하다. 그러나 레이몬드 진의 후일담은 그저 그런 패배자와 같았다. 무일푼 신세가 되어 항구 마을의 술집에서 매일 술이나 퍼 마셔대는 레이몬드 진은 아이들에게도 골탕을 먹는 인생으로 전락했다. 아무도 그가 그 전설적인 레이몬드 진이라는 것을 믿어주지 않는다. 그러던 어느 날 술집에서 젊은이들이 붉은 용의 둥지에 관해서 이야기하는 것을 들었다. 붉은 용의 둥지에는 엄청난 보물이 잠자고 있는데 너무도 강력한 붉은 용이 그곳을 지키기 때문에 아무도 살아서 돌아오지 못했다는 그런 이야기였다. 레이몬드 진은 술김에 자신이 그곳에 가서 보물을 얻어 오겠다고 외치고야 만다. 그리고 깊은 산 속, 붉은 용의 둥지가 있다는 그 곳에 도착하였다. 그에겐 공포가 엄습했다. 다시 돌아가려고 결심하고 돌아서는 순간 땅이 꺼지면서 그는 붉은 용의 둥지로 떨어졌다.
