Sunrise to Sunset is a location aware sunrise and sunset calculator. It makes use of the GPS in the iPhone to determine the location and then calculates the sunrise and sunset for a given date in that location. Also shows the length of that day. You can choose between Official, Civil, Astronomy and Nautical modes to determine sun rise and sun set times.
Before using Sunrise To Sunset, you need to setup the application. Press the setup button to show the setup screen. The location information is most important. Press the "Get location from device" button. Then allow the application to read the GPS data. If you have to enter data manually, make sure that you also select the appropriate North, South, East and West options.
Switch on the "Geographic Time" to get the real times in your location. When this option is selected, the location data is used to determine the actual geographic time of sun rise and sun set instead of the official time zone based one. This time will be a few minutes ahead or behind the official time. If you have not selected "Geographic Time" please note that the time zone of the phone should be set to the same time zone of the location for the application to display the times in that location. Otherwise, the times of sun rise and sun set are shown relative to your time zone.
The sun rise and sun set times can be calculated in 4 modes. Official, Civil, Astronomy and Nautical. Select your desired mode from the button bar provided.
Always make sure that the save button is pressed to store the setup options. The application will use the setup data only after the save button is pressed.
