You learn something new every day! I have played chess several times before, but this tutorial explained a couple rules I was unaware of and gave some good tips to get me thinking more about strategy. Wow I thought I was pretty good at chess, having read all sorts of chess books years back. Granted, they were all in German, so my vocabulary was way off to start with. But I was surprised to discover that there were a number of rules I had remembered incorrectly and one very basic bit of strategy that I had never thought of before.This book is an eye opener. Not only because it's free and pretty (it shows the same attention to detail and great understanding of what makes a user interface seamless and elegant that is so noticeable about tChess) and because you can play with the chess pieces in the book. No, the thing that's standing out most for me is that it manages to convey some fairly detailed and advanced bits of information 100% concise and to the point in very few words. A Comprehensive Chess Tutorial I dabble in chess occasionally, but there were some moves I rarely use and don't quite have a solid understanding of, such as the En Passant. This tutorial explains every move very clearly, and you can perform the moves as you are reading about it.
