Study-up on your two and three letter words before embarking. As 'keys' ❍↓ drop in from above, you and your fingers are tasked to find words quickly and accurately in order to survive.
Your main objective is to find find words quickly to prevent the falling keys from stacking up to the top of the screen.
When you find a word its keys will vanish, making room for more keys.
The words you find must be at least two letters long and may not be proper nouns. You know, standard fare.
↔↕ The words must also consist of touching keys in a straght line in any direction except diagonal.
✭ Spelling certain words will unlock PowerUps which give you additional powers and abilities.
A total of 5 PowerUps will be made available to you throughout the game. To unlock or use these PowerUps, find and spell the name of the PowerUp.
For example, the first PowerUp is named "GAPS". This PowerUp will let you spell words across gaps ❍⇔❍ eliminating the rule that keys must be touching. The "GAPS" PowerUp is available right away and can be Unlocked by spelling "GAPS"!
It's unlikely that the word "GAPS" will show up for you, all neat and tidy and ready to be selected. This is where swapping keys comes in.
➝↵ Swap the position of any two keys ➝↵ by touching both keys at the same time.
Use key swapping to: ❍ Build your PowerUp words ❍ Spell bigger-higher scoring words. ❍ Set up combos. ❍ Get out of a jam.
☢ Warning! Use key swapping sparringly. Each time you swap keys you loose points and your Combo Multiplier gets reset.
✖ Combos are the best way to get higher scores! ✖
Every time you score a word without swapping keys or misspelling a word, your Combo Multiplier increases by one.
✄ Extinguishing the Flame
When the keys stack up to the top of the screen, that column of keys will "catch fire" and start "burning" their way down. If you spell a word using one of the burning keys, you will "extinguish" the column and you game will continue. If you can't manage that, then it's GAME OVER!
