Send and receive contact details on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
You choose a contact and send the details using the device's built-in Mail program. You choose which details to include and you can even send the contact's photo!
The email contains the contact details in text format. If the receiver has Send Contact installed they can import the details. Alternatively the receiver can download the contact details as a vCard, which can be easily imported (NB. vCards do not contain the contact's photo due to a technical limitation).
PRIVACY & SECURITY
The contact details are entirely contained within the email. For technical reasons, the vCard is created by sending contact details to Send Contact's webservice via SSL encryption when the download link in the email is clicked. No details are ever stored on the server.

Effective efficient hip   Used 11 times at a tradeshow same day I bought it. So much cooler than handing out paper business cards. Impressive, detailed yet clean output. Nicely done.

Send Contact   I just purchased this application and am a little bit disappointed. My reasons follow:
* I assumed that the vCard would be sent as an email attachment, not a link to a server containing the vCard.
* The vCard does not contain all of the contact information, there are option switches presented to the user to select what information is sent, no image is sent, no notes are sent, etc. For the most part the info shown in the body if the email is not persisted to the vCard.
* The link provided in the email to the vCard cannot be imported by iPhone users, Safari says "cannot download". A vCard sent as an attachment from outlook can be imported and includes all data including the picture.
I wish I owned a mac, I could definitely code this properly on the Windows platform though.
Hope this review helps some one. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by Haenzo
Great App Works Great!   Stop the negativity, yes maybe Apple should have included this in the OS, but they didn't, it is not the fault of this developer and they wrote a good app that fills that need. With this program installed on both iPhones is make it makes exchanging contacts easy, it just works... Great app. and worth the price! - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by GrumpyGeek
Forces recipient to buy program also!   I bpught this because it claimed to send contact info via e-mail. Now it forces the recipient to buy the program as well which is maddeningly worthless! - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by RaoulRiPhone
Very good!   Note: People should actually REVIEW an app before they write a review!
SMS would be a great feature. Would also like to see the links place below the contact info so email fetching isn't convoluted.
Other than that it's a great idea. Should have been basic function, but for an additional .99 cents.... I just added it to the $300. + I already spent. Big whoop. Good buy. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by Neurosys
Nope   Doesn’t work, It crashes ever time I try to use it. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by Wheel3G
Crashes constantly   I have yet to been able to successfully send a contact using this application. I would hold off buying until the developer updates their application. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by mbriney
Really Great App!   It is very unfortunate for the developer that so many people have torpedoed this App's rating because:a) they use this review space to complain that Apple didn't include this function in the iPhone's user interface.b) they wrote the review before even using all of the features or reading the description of the App (evident in their comments).c) complain that is should be 'free' (as if they do not like to get paid for their work at their jobs... seriously). This App is a HUGE time saver and very well designed. The only other way to email/text someone a person's info in your contact list was to get out a pen and paper, copy it from your contact list and then RE-TYPE in your iPhone. This developer cleverly built in 3 methods of sending a person's contact info with the push of one button - and contrary to what one not-so-observant reviewer wrote - the person you are sending to DOES NOT need to have the Send Contact App to receive the information, he needs it only if he wants to INSTANTLY ADD the contact card the way you have it. The 3 ways this App sends the info all-at-once are:1) send the contact info as a downloadable contact for your iPhone (if the other person also has the Send Contact).2) as a vCard (via weblink).3) finally - the person receiving it gets the information TEXT-STYLE in the body of the email. What else can you ask for? Also, if the other person does have Send Contact, they also get the photo that you had for your contact. Additionally, all the info is customizable, in terms of what is sent. Really, this is genius App and so worth the nominal fee.I do have one suggestion though: Please make a better ICON! I keep this App on my front page and the icon is really lame looking (although the App UI is very slick & nicely done). See the following Apps for examples of outstanding artwork in icons: iKana, Smart Caller, Urbanspoon, AP Mobile News, iAreaCode and Tap Tap Revenge to name a few.5 Stars from me! But please make your icon beautiful and worthy of the App you created. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by Miyamoto Bru
Good App for Plain Text Contact Information   What I like about this app is that it sends more fields than others, namely "company" and "title" which seem to be missing from other contact sending apps. These come through in the plain text e-mail. Direct mailing from iPhone (versus server) is also handy, although it does slow the transfer. I do wish the developers would include "Company" and "Title" in the vCard that's generated. Fetching the vCard is a bit awkward, but it works. Please Please Please someone include Company and Title in the vCard, they are supported via Org and Title fields. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by newonblk
User Friendly, vCards sent to non-iphone users, Great to help recover "bricked" iphones   I bought this application because I was having difficulties with my phone "bricking" on each sync. I stopped updating my contacts because I knew I'd just lose all the information on next snyc. What Send Contact has allowed me to do is too create contacts on the fly and then e-mail them to myself as a back up. Importing and Exporting are a breeze and have increased my confidence in trusting my iPhone. $0.99 = peace of mind. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by StatAtiPhone
Don't bother   It works halfway. It transfers info to email just fine but if there is more than a phone number to import it crashes on the recipients end. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by Dustmites
Almost   I like the vcard format and the integration will work well sending to my wife. I just wish I could pick compatability options, ex. Outlook entry types only, as the iphone handles more contact types than a lot of software. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by flyingember
Nice app   One thing though, put the contact details first. I only know 3 people with an iPhone out of 500+ contacts. Thx - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by Jwiser
Crashes   Does not work. Crashes eveyyime you try to send a contact. Even though the stays on the app says x amount of contacts sent it never realy emails them to anyone. Waste of time. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by Ntburchf
Good App But...   This fills a void in the iphone's design and for that it's great. My biggest complaint is that you can only send one contact at a time. If it were setup so that you could select multiple contacts at once to send I would find it much more versatile. Still, I'm glad I have it. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by tobingo
Works perfectly well (but Apple should add this capability to the built-in Contacts app)   Actually, I'm not at all disappointed with paying 99c for this - it works fine - does exactly what it says it does - sends a contact nice and simply with no fuss... nice job - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by daveblademan
Like it. Especially the fact that it allows you to decide which parts to send and not   You can select if you want to send home info, notes info for instance. Something which would be good to have in Leopard.Does everything is says it will. What do you do when someone calls you and asks you for say the address of a bank, or hotel, or shop?Until we have cut and paste, the only alternative is to go to your address book, write down all details of a vcard and then start up the email app and type it in.I like this app a lot. It is a no brainer. In a way it should have been in the OS. - Send Contact (Business Cards) review by DAS50
