Can't hold a flame to other lighter apps I dunno...what should I expect for free? When you've got a bunch of virtual lighters on the app store, it's hard to imagine how Zippo could put their name behind this stinker. The app seems half finished...like they just stopped at the part where they should have been making the flame actually realistic or the app less buggy. I know iLightr and Sonic Lighter are 99 cents, but you really get what you pay for! Get iLightr for the realistic flame, or get Sonic Lighter for the ability to light another lighter...but this thing....I dunno. What should I expect for free? What should I expect from Zippo?

Best one Has a lot of selectable lighters like anarchy and American flag. Flick open and strike to light. Has sound but missing the sound the flame makes when it first lights. Make sure to reboot because it crashes otherwise.

iLightr is better! iLightr has a computer generated flame that is much nicer than any of the videos of actual flames. It responds to movement much better

Lighter Up! Ok I paid a dollar for Sonic Lighter and am getting minimal enjoyment out of it. U cant see whose lighting across the world but then again I think that globe is BS anyway like Folding at Home on Ps3. But this app is free and brand new which means u it may turn out better than sonic lighter.
I love how u can chose from numerous lighters instead of staring at a flame. No u can't light other peoples iPhone....not yet anyway. So one update and this may turn out better than the paid ones.

What the heck???!!?? I don't see why everyone is like ohh I live this for my iPhone it's soo great!! Ok I downloaded it for my itouch and it's not all that great and u wouldn't spend money on the real one anyways

A. Toonguy was right! You do take damage! In the form of my battery draining due to excessive vibration. Hey, for future updates, make it so your phone heats up and burns you! Also, you should make a flame that doesn't look like 4 crappy fire pictures put together for each angle to "simulate fire". How about you make an actual video of some sort and then delete it because you shouldn't be putting another f*$#@&% lighter app on the app store!!!!! Make something constructive and useful.

It's a free lighter, but it's kinda crash-y I haven't purchased every lighter on the store so I can't compare against those, but I CAN tell you what you'll notice about this one. First, it has an annoying vibration when you start the app. Maybe to simulate the way a real lighter vibrates?!? You can choose from 16 different lighters with a slide and a tap. Once you've got your lighter the flick action works well enough (not perfect, but hey, it's a lighter), open, close, open, close with a decent sound for both. Once you have it open, it may crash when you flick the flint OR it may simply not show the flame animation. The first few frames of the flame's growth are in slow motion, but the frame rate while it's burning is decent. It uses the sensors to detect angle and if you turn it too far to the right or left, guess what? It vibrates!! Just like a real lighter does!! (I guess in an attempt to let you know that you're taking "damage" by getting "burned"). It also vibrates if you pass your finger through the flame. Interestingly enough, they've included animation for holding the flame to the extreme left, extreme right AND upside down.Since this is a licensed product, the branding has to show, so the lighter takes up over half the screen. I'd like to have the option to "zoom-in" to just the light, but that's something I don't think this free and licensed product will allow. All in all, it's a decent free lighter app that does what it says it does. Just don't expect the fancy physics or large flames of the other ones.

Crashed Great potential. I like all the different styles of lighters and that you can 'flick' the phone to open and close the lighter but it crashes.... A LOT

Awesome Hey this is agreat app! Only suggestion: flame is a little choppy when tilting. Not a problem but I have OCD so I pay attention to the smallest details! Still an amazing lighter app. The best by far!

The only thing first would want is to be able to shut the lid when I want to douse the flame.
