Oldie but goodie I just upgraded to the new ambiance and love it. But, there are some times where I miss having my frogs sing in the rain from the classic ambiance, so I use this one. Great sounds and dead simple to use. If you haven't already, you should definitely check out the new ambiance cause it both rocks and rolls!

This is SO much better than the other one... Downloading sounds on the other Ambiance takes forever and the sound quality is not as good. I'm so glad this one was brought back. When I am going to bed, the last thing I want to do is wait forever for a new sound to download. In regards to quality, there is a definite "clicking" sound on the other app as opposed to this one. Thank you for bringing this one back...

Classic is pretty good as well I use both this app (Ambiance Classic) and Ambiance as well. Ambiance is great for when I am at home and want to browse/choose all the sounds I want, and this app is great for when I am on the road or tired and just want to play it

Awesome! This app is AMAZING!!!!! Before this thing came out I couldn't fall asleep until some crazy hour, and now I fall asleep the moment my head touches the pillow! (P.S. I'm a junior high student and I played the snoring sound during math, and the whole class was hysterical, and I could've sworn I saw steam coming out of the teacher's ears! I got a detention, but it was well worth it. Right on!) :-)

Must have app. If you're looking for an ambiance app, this is it. Great selection. Does not crash. Set the timer to fall asleep to it. WAY better than Ambiance 2.0.

Thank goodness this is here Thank goodness the "lite" version is here. I bought the original, which was this app in the beginning. Then the updates "improved it" into being too complicated and not-at-all user friendly. GET THIS APP! It is awesome! Probably the app I use the most.

Awesome response by the developer When I inadvertently updated to the new version without realizing the changes I was disappointed. I use just a few sounds occasionally. Creating yet another account and downloading sounds again was more trouble than it was worth to me. I sent a note to the developer and he responded immediately explaining the new version and that he was going to release this "Classic" version for those who felt as I did.As a tech professional I fully appreciate that he was responding to the majority of his users with the new version. He put a lot of work into it and made it as simple as he could to get back the old capability. It's almost unheard of for a developer to respond so quickly to please a minority of his customer base. I now have my simple basic app back and am very happy.Matt - you've set the bar for other developers. I hope the new version is even more successful that the original. THANKS!!!

Amazing - But not as good as "Ambiance" I got this app to compare with the new version of Ambiance that everyone is making a big fuss over. Here is the breakdown:SOUNDS: Ambiance has waaay more sounds because you download sounds from a sound store. Ambiance classic only has the built in sounds -- Winner: AmbianceNAVIGATION: Ambiance is a little harder to navigate (but still easy) due to all the added features. Ambiance Classic is simple and easy to get a sound to play. If you are a busy mom or something, then Ambiance Classic might be better for you -- Winner: ClassicQUALITY. Both apps have superb sound quality. I was able to find most of the same sounds in Classic also in Ambiance. Winner: TieAPPEARANCE: Classic just doesnt do it for me like Ambiance does. This version just looks basic to me. Ambiance has a full size picture for every sound, this one has no pics. This is the main reason for the 4-star rating. Winner: AmbianceSTABILITY: I have had this crash on me yet and I have had Ambiance crash on me once. Winner: ClassicFEATURES: Ambiance wins by a landslide here. Classic does not have an alarm, saved mixes, favorites, pics, descriptions or a store. But both apps do the one thing they are supposed to: play sounds. THANK GOD MATT BROUGHT THE ORGINAL AMBIANCE APP BACK :) Ever since the upgrade to 2.0 ive been trying and using other sleep apps like sleepmaker : rain and asleep etc to fall asleep to. Great app Great app! Incredibly easy to use interface, numerous sound effects, different customization options (fade audio in/out etc). I tried binayral beats and whitenoise before this and just liked ambiance better. Nicer looking interface as well as easier to use, and the sounds included seemed to be of better quality.
