Wonderful game!!! I love a good challenge for hearts and this app gives you a good run. Shooting the moon isn't impossible, but harder to do than hearts that comes with windows. Good job and thank you!

A good basic hearts game I played hearts all through college. This is a very good version of it. Shooting the moon can be easy though. I would like to see the option to change rules. We always played that you got -13 for capturing the jack of diamonds and -26 for shooting the moon.

Good, solid version of hearts I used to play Hearts all the time on one of our old Mac computers. This game provides a similar experience... which is just what I've been looking for. However, there are a few things that could be improved:
~needs a bigger button for all of those in-game commands. I'll often try for it several times before succeeding.
~a warning before erasing stats. I accidentally hit the button and my win-loss record was gone. Just a little pop-up "are you sure you want to do this?" would suffice.
Otherwise a great program. THANKS!

Great game Great game. It is easy to use, fun to play, and the computer oponents are chalenging. My only complaint is that there is no option to subtract point when you shoot the moon. Ocasionaly I lose the game on a hand when I successfully shot the moon. I gues that what happens when you are behind the leader by more than 26 points and someone else is near 100 points.

fast, stable, fun! The gameplay is fun and engaging, and the players are somewhat challenging. This game has a crisp look and feel, not unlike the version I used to play many years ago by Paul Pedriana. While other apps tend to grow stale, I find myself coming back to play this game quite often.Like others have noted, it is not impossible to shoot the moon, even playing against the best opponents -- but it takes a little bit of luck to go along with your skill. One minor feature I have requested is the option to exit a hand after all point cards have been played, to save some unnecessary tapping.As the game stands today, I give it 5 stars, and the coming additions (gameplay/rule configuration options; network play) will only serve to make this app worth even more. I'm glad I had the chance to try this app for free (I don't like to buy apps without trying them first), and had I known then just how enjoyable this game is, I would not have hesitated to pay for it. This developer produces nice work and is very open to suggestions.If you're a fan of hearts, and like a fast, clean, stable game without distracting eye candy, then give this game a try. I'm glad I did!

Hearts Solo Have played several other iphone hearts games and they pay poorly not knowing when to play the right card. This is the best I have found so far. At least the other robot players are not stupid dummies.

Works really well Thanks for this free game. It generally runs just fine, and is easy to use. I like that you can leave and come back to a game. It's not the most challenging, and makes it too easy to shoot the moon, but then it can sneak up on you and dropt the queen. It would be great to have the jack of diamonds option. Thanks for all the work to make it available.

Hearts I think this version of Hearts is comparable to the version that comes with Windows XP. Challenging enough to be entertaining at the least unless you're spending more time than you should on a simple card game. No complaints here for a free app.

Good interface, reasonable play, and free Good interface and reasonable play at the highest setting, but still weak compared with skilled human opponents. After a while, it becomes clear how to exploit the robots' weaknesses and dominate play. Still, the author of Hearts Solo never claimed to have written the best AI, and the other hearts programs I've played suffer similar weaknesses. Also, let's not forget that it's FREE, so I shouldn't complain. I eagerly await a more robust AI engine, along the lines of the very strong bridge playing programs.

Love Hearts Thank you for a great app. Kept searching appbstore for a good hearts game. I read all the bad reviews on the paid hearts apps & then saw this free one with pretty good reviews. No risk in trying a free app!
I was psyched to find a great app with a smart UI. That's the key to a good card game. It doesn't have to be pretty if the computer is a good player.
Two requests: (1) an option to have the Jack of Diamonds count as -10 points & (2) landscape mode to make access to pushing on cards a bit easier.
Either way, it's a 5 star app for me. Thanks again.
