THE TRANSFORMATION FROM DICE TO DOMINOES! Turning dice into dominoes is only half the fun. Planning ahead to create the maximum number of unique dominoes is the real challenge. Fill up the board wisely it will really help you keep your final score low.
ROTATE THE DICE! A “Roto-Control” with a built in memory will help you solve the puzzle. The location of the die counts need to be discovered and are different from game to game. Don’t be surprised if the die count you need to solve the puzzle with is on the bottom of the die.

Really makes you think!   There is quite a learning curve in this game, but once you get the hang of it you'll be sucked in to play a lot more and defintely think of what moves you make before you make them.
This game makes you work your brain and that to me is a major plus.
The graphics are really nice on the eye and the amount of puzzles (600!) is just astonishing on the replay value.
My only gripe is that you can't go back to another level you've completed and re-play it or just so you can at least find out what your score was. Hopefully that will be added in a possible future update.
The highscore global top ten list is a nice feature for each puzzle, but I still hope you'll be able to re-play puzzles and upload local scores as well.
Final verdict: A fresh new unique style thinking type of game that is highly recommended to others. Only issue may be the learning curve.

Domino Dice is an ingenious puzzler   Domino Dice is fairly simple to pick up due to the fact that it has a semi-detailed tutorial outlining the rules. However, as there is a slight learning curve, time with the game is the best way to learn it. Like chess, Domino Dice requires you to look ahead three or four moves. Your score is a combination of the number of moves you make (the fewer the better) and the number of dominos you create out of the dice on the board. In the game, incorrectly placed dice need to be rotated to create a straight, which is a set of correctly placed dice in any order without numerical gaps. For example 3, 2, 4, 1, 6, 5 is a straight even thought it is not in numerical order. To make things interesting, there are solid black dice that divide the puzzle into compartments. Thus, there can be a straight of only two dice all the way up to a straight of 6 dice. When a newly rotated (and correct) die is next to an already correct die a domino is automatically created if that combo has not already occurred in the puzzle (hence the need to look ahead several moves). Like Sudoku (and Str8ts), a die count on ivory dice with black dots cannot be repeated in any row or column. Also, for those interested in global high scores, you can see how you stack up against fellow Domino Dicers. The version also currently has 600 puzzles stretched out over three difficulties. So, it should keep me busy for a long time.I own every puzzle that Syndicated Puzzles has put on the App Store (Domino Dice, 1 to 25 and Str8ts) and I am inclined to buy every future puzzle they bring to the iPhone. Jeff Widderich and Andrew Stuart are puzzle gurus to the nth degree and are willing to go the extra mile for their customers (someone on a TouchArcade forum was complaining about not understanding Str8ts, one of their games, and Jeff responded with a post saying, “I need to make sure that you are able to enjoy Str8ts.” He then told him that he had sent him a personal message and informed him that he was available for the next five hours should the frustrated customer wish to have some personal coaching. I was very impressed with this response and found it telling of Jeff’s personality.). All games by Syndicated Puzzles are extremely polished and utilize intuitive controls. If you like Domino Dice, look into Str8ts, its sister game. You should also check out 1 to 25 (if you are looking for a reason to pull your hair out).

iMac, therefore i think
Wow!   Personally, this was a very hard game to learn. I felt like the directions and even the description in the app store were very confusing. However, once I got the hang of the game, I was hooked! Domino Dice looks great and is very addicting. You have to think ahead to create the most domino pieces and you really have to use your brain, which gives you a huge sense of accomplishment when you finish a game with the lowest score. I'm not sure what the point is for guessing the order on the dice at the start of every game, so I'd like an option to turn that on and off. The only problem I have with this game is that if on your last turn you have more than one option on dice to match with to create a domino, the game ends before you are allowed to select a match. This has been pretty annoying because more than once I've missed the high score on a level because of that. But besides this minor annoyance, this is the best puzzle game I own. This is worth way more than it's asking price!

Another Terrific Offering   Syndicated Puzzles puts out the best puzzle games for the iDevice, hands down! I loved 1 to 25, I'm still obsessed with Str8ts, and now I've had the opportunity to play Domino Dice, which plays much like Str8ts, but with a few little nuances that make it a game unto itself. I really like the old book style, something that you don't often see in puzzle games: a little flair and personality. Gameplay is pretty simple once you understand what you have to do. The rotation mechanism is fun to use. Great job and great game! Please please please keep them coming!

Great puzzle game - Buy It!   It took me a couple of rounds to get the hang of how to play this game. Once I got it, I was hooked. I think I found a couple of bugs where a black die on a row allowed a duplicate value to reside on the same row. I had a black one on the bottom left space and the last available value for my straight was a one right beside it to complete the column. I don't think this should have been allowed. This could be a 5-star app if the rules were more clearly described (a tutorial round would be great) and a couple of minor issues are resolved:The sound on/off toggle needs to be fixed. There is sound no matter what the toggle is set to. There needs to be an option to replay any of the solved puzzles without resetting all of the scores. If you want to improve your score on a certain puzzle, you shuld be able to.These issues issues do not keep Domino Dice from being a very good app. Buy it. I'm sure these issues will be addressed soon.

Very enjoyable   This is a very Enjoyable game from 'Syndicated Puzzles'. I played Str8ts first and I am happy I did. That was the best way for me to get to know the game better.I recommend that everyone go that route (if possible)Both games remind me of a smaller scaled 'Sudoku'. Not exactly, but that's the concept, no doubt. The whole premise is to NOT repeat numbers in the same row, Vertical and Horizontal.I found myself using the same strategy and figuring methods that I use for Sudoku. If you buy this game and can't figure it out, don't get frustrated. I found the developer to be very helpful. Great guy, actually! He will respond to your emails very timely, and very friendly as well.Otherwise, PLEASE read the instructions within the game(s). Domino Dice can be very enjoyable once You figure out what you're doing. The only thing I would like to see is different themes.Possible even poker dice as well.I would happily bump my 4 stars on up to 5 stars if the day comes when there is more Themes and Dice sets.Don't let that stop You though, pick this one up and Enjoy!

Further confessions of a Str8ts addict   This game came to my attention because of the sheer addictiveness of Str8ts - now I play them both. This game is both better looking, and more challenging than Str8ts - imagine a field of dice where you have to turn them around to complete two puzzles at the same time:1) Each row/column cannot have any repeat numbers, and each segment must have numbers forming a "streight" as in poker (that is a row with four white dice must contain something like 1432 or 5643 or 2354) The black dice cannot be turned and note numbers that aren't in the puzzle. Black dice seperate the streights.2) As you turn dice the correct side up, they will form a domino with a die next to it if that would make a unique domino. Thus, you have to think ahead a few moves, the order you solve the puzzle in is very important if you want to get a low score. The score is 1 point per die turn minus 2 for each domino formed. There are online leaderboards at the publisher's website so you can compete against the world! (See if you can beat some of my scores on there!)It took me a couple of puzzles to 'get' this game, so here are a few hints to get you started:-The greyed out white dice are not correct, so if a 2 has to go in a row, and one of the greyed white dice is a 2 you know where it goes.-Keep a die on hand or draw one out so you have an idea how to best turn the dice, then you only need to know three faces of the in-game die to know all faces.-Spin dice you know will have to turn twice (1-6, 3-4, 2-5 and vice-versa) first so you populate the numbers on the die at the bottom of the screen to make things easier. If you like solving logic puzzles, you can't go wrong with this game - it will keep you busy for a long, long time...
