Great intro to Domino Dice and Str8ts 9x9 If you like sudoku - you will love Str8ts. This puzzle game turns Sudoku on it's ear. The premise is simple - make groups of straights in each group area. In this lite version - the numbers in any cell would be 1 - 6. In practice, this will really make you think. For me, I like sudoku, but have become bored with it. Str8ts keeps the number style, but requires a whole different way to think about it. Additionally, all the puzzles are professionally done, and any more hard core puzzler can tell you, that makes a huge difference in the fun factor.
This lite version can serve as the introduction to the full version of Str8ts that is on a 9x9 grid. It has 4 difficulties, and so serves a good intro at all levels. An additional benefit, another game by these developers , Domino Dice, uses the 6x6 format so you will be able to get into that game with less confusion.
The developers are responsive to improvements in their products, which is always good.
Try this lite version and see if you don't get hooked on Str8ts like I did.

Fun but needs work. Played about 5 puzzles, they're fun, it's a good idea. One of the puzzles was way easier than the others and another had multiple solutions for the last three numbers and I had to keep trying until I found the right combination.

Confessions of a Str8ts Addict... I have been playing this game almost daily since I got it - I used to get in a game or two of Sudoku a day, but I've switched to this one.It looks like a cross between Sudoku and a crossword puzzle, but it doesn't quite play like that.Your goal is to fill in each row and column with "streights" (like in poker) of numbers, such as 2435 or 8497563. The don't have to be in order, just a contiguous string of numbers. (The two streights in my last sentance are 2 through 5 and 3 through 9, respectively. The black numbers are ones you can't use.You then take these rules and work your way through each puzzle. In the full version there are 751 puzzles amongst four difficulty levels to work through, and if you manage to finish those you can reset the game data and start over. The game remembers your progress in your last game in case you get interrupted, or leave the app to go do something else.If you like Sudoku, but want to play something similar, but different (and possibly a little more challenging) then this game is for you.For anyone else who likes puzzles, this is still a good game - there are no time limits, you can check your answers and you can make "pencil marks" for possibilities, so someone at any skill level can still enjoy this game.The lite version is free, you won't lose anything (except perhaps some time) giving this one a shot. Then grab Str8ts if you like it (or the new one - Str8ts 6x6 if you want a smaller bite!)

Great 'sequel' to Sudoku Didn't think I'd like it, but I enjoyed it. Feels like Sudoku, but different enough to be interesting. The app is quite well designed too, a few bugs like the undo doesn't work fully, and the tutorial could be better, but it's fun, challenging, and free with no ads!
