Disappointed but hopeful I've played all of the games and was not impressed. I have the games on my Mac as well but the iPhone / Touch versions are clunky. Chess has the King and Queen peices reversed. Backgammon has pieces that are too small to control. Reversi has no option to turn off the display of legal moves. I hope version 1.1 will be out soon.

Great interface for building self esteem Spoiled by Big Bang Chess on my Mac, I was looking at alternative chess game screenshots and reviews but came up empty handed. Then I happened upon THIS and got excited. The play is pretty much the same as I am used to. It is not tuned for master play where the game always wins. Rather, if you have a reasonable amount of skill, it will give you a run for your money. I win about 40 percent of the time with the default setting. After enabling Master Difficulty Level there was no difference; I won. The 1x I played checkers (and I haven't played in over 15 years), I won. In three rounds of Tic Tac Toe I won. As you can see, the games are good at building self esteem :-) but good players may long for more competition. Look forward to Freeverse fixing the Master Difficulty Level -- perhaps offering more than just on/off.Update includes better contrast for white pieces and dark pieces that are difficult to see on black squares. Default chess level has become more challenging (or I have gotten worse). "Master Difficulty Level" is now simply named "strong opponent." I used to leave it enabled. Now, with "strong opponent" off, I get a run for my money. Occasionally the computer chess player becomes 'indecisive' (fails to respond with a move). After a very long delay, it may be necessary to resign (even if you're winning) and start another game. (Same thing sometimes happens on full Mac version.) A bug introduced with latest version is that 'never resign' is disabled; it can pop up after every move.
