Ten squared is a logic game, a great brain teaser for your iPhone or iPod touch! The goal of the game is to fill the squared grid complying with a rule. You can choose between two different rules, knight or bridge: starting from any box of the grid, you must find the path that enables you to fill all boxes!

10^2 is the New Number 1! Let me start off by saying that 10^2 is extremely polished from the flash screen to the menus to gameplay. Dot Next's creation has a certain raw, scratch paper water color school homework motif that complements the simple, yet challenging concept that is 10^2. A textual and visual tutorial is available by pressing "How To Play" on the main menu screen. The object of the game is to place a number in each box using simple moves. The goal is to see far enough ahead to avoid painting yourself into a corner—where a move cannot be made without violating the rules. This is much easier said than done! The game offers two modes: one utilizing the "bridge" move; the other using the "knight" move. The former requires that each subsequent number be placed three boxes box away if moving horizontally or vertically, or two boxes away if moving diagonally. The latter move will be familiar to chess players—each subsequently placed number must make an L-shape. Don't worry if this does not make much sense right now because the game will not let you place a number in a box that would violate a rule. If you need a hint, hit the question mark on the top left. You will be shown every possible move you can make. Also, you can undo moves all the way back to your first by pushing the rubber eraser on the bottom of the screen.The starting grid is 5X5. When that grid is successfully completed, a 6X6 grid becomes available, and so on until 10X10, or 10^2. When (not "if"—at least not at first) you reach the point where you cannot make a move without violating the "bridge" or "knight" moves, respectively, your homework is stamped with a big red "FAILED" that you will likely not have seen since your teacher handed back your third grade book report. If you do fail or just want to start afresh, simply shake the device or press the arrow icon on the bottom left of the screen to start over. Another great feature is the fact that each game is timed and your top ten times for each mode are tracked so you can see how far (or not in my case) you have progressed.Audiophiles will love the fact that 10^2 features in-game audio track selection. Simply press the treble clef at the top of the screen to access your library. You can select entire existing playlists or create your own on the fly.The developer is very active at toucharcade.com and, from personal experience, is quick to respond to email inquiries. If you are up to the challenge, 10^2 is a very impressive, polished app that will take some time to master. Hopefully, less than the time required to complete the third grade, which for some took longer than the rest.

Interesting this is a pretty challenging game that i enjoy and have spent quite some time on haha. the only suggestion i can provide is the adding of an undo button. other than that, this game is reallly great. the ability to control your music without having to leave the game is a great feature more games should have.

If your brain needs extra exercise Ten Squared is a game where you have to fill each box with a number, starting from 1. This is easier said than done. You first start with a 5X5 square, and you can only fill the boxes using either the ‘bridge’ or ‘knight’ method. You have the hint and undo buttons, even then the game is extremely challenging, and it takes a lot of effort to complete a 5X5 square, let alone a 10X10 one. Right now it’s lacking an online score board, but you can in the meantime try to beat your own scores. If you like to hurt your brain, this is the game to get.

I love it ! Well, it's a cool game with a good difficulty progress, not boring at all with a big addictive power ! The best way to spend work hours at the office :-D !Hemmm, the answer to the ultimate question is 42 !! And not 10 squared ;-) ! But it's a big brain breaker !!!!

Very Challenging, Yet Addictive Game When you buy Ten Squared, the first thing you should look at is the instructions. The game seems pretty simple, with two modes of play, where you have to fill up all of the boxes in a larger box with numbers. However, when you start playing, it gets trickier. It takes a lot of thought to place every number in exactly the right spot, especially since you only have certain moves. That, along with the fact that there are 5x5-10x10 boxes makes the game have tons of replay value.Ten Squared is one of the most fun number games I've ever played, and if you don't like games that are too involved with math, like Sudoku, then Ten Squared, which is more involved with spacial skills, is most likely for you.

My brain hurts so much, but it feels so good This game is awesome, plain and simple. It's an excellent game to get the brain thinking. It has a unique style that is very addictive. Your iPod is essentially garbage if this app isn't on it. Stop reading this review and buy the game already!

great puzzler Appearances can be deceiving, especially at first glance. What I originally thought to be some sort of sudoko or tictactoe clone turned out to be something completely different instead. The rules are simple and straightforward, but the challenge is difficult nonetheless. Think you can solve the puzzle?

Geat game. Although the graphics are very simple, being just a pad of paper and some numbers, that's really all you need for this game. In 10^2 your goal is to land on every space on the board. You do this by either moving like a knight in a chess game (an L shape) or doing a bridge(Move 3 spaces left or right, or 2 diagonally). Overall, this is a very good game. And for the cheap price, it's definately worth a look.

I love apps :)
Interesting Logic Puzzler... I have never played this game before so it did take me a few minutes to figure out the rules and point (I agree a better tutorial might help). I like the pencil/paper look and feel to the game and although I'm apparently completely inept at finishing the puzzles, I assume I will get better with time. I look forward to spending more time with this app and figuring out winning strategies.

A fascinating and brilliant brain-teasing masterpiece. Very interesting, fun and very unique game-play that finds a way to keep me hooked on it, even though I almost always get that huge 'Failed' Stamp in just a few moves, lol. :P There's just something about it that pulls you in and makes you want to figure out the solution of the selected puzzle. The art-style is truly phenomenal, it compliments the game-play very well and gives off a certain layer of atmosphere, and tries to soothe you as you're playing. The only number games I had loved to play before were Sudoku and Ken ken, but Ten squared has easily made it's way to being my favorite. I recommend this game to anyone who loves numbers, loves puzzles, loves being challenged, or just simply loves games. Well worth the low 1$ price tag!

Game for Puzzle fans This game is an excellent game for puzzle fans. The concept is simple. You have to fill up all the boxes with numbers. You can place your first number (#1) anywhere but after that you can only move 3 squares diagonal or 4 squares horizontal. It makes for a very interesting puzzle that requires a lot of thought. As you solve the puzzle larger grids become available. If your a puzzle fan you should definitely check this one (or the lite version if your not sold) out!

Addiction For those who love puzzle games, this app is a must. It gives a new twist on Soduku but makes your brain work 10x as hard. Very well polished, extremely addictive (I had to put a time limit on how long I am allowed to play each day) and requires a lot of thought. So for those of you who "think outside of the box" (no pun intended) grab this 5 star app now. P.S. Be patient, it may take a game or two or three to get the hang of it. After that....there is no going back.

Good Game... For some Cool Concept, but VERY hardFor those of you who can't figure this out, the goal is to fill up the grid by placing numbers in it using specific movement patterns. Press the "?" button on the top left to show available moves. The first mode is where you can either move 4 spaces adjacently or 3 spaces diagonally. The second is a knight move pattern. These modes are accessed using the tabs on the top after selecting "New" in the main menu. This has a very clean interface, with excellent controls, speed, animation, and sound effects. Beware of the gavel after you fail a level, though; it made me jump. Overall, this app has a great UI and polish, but it is intensly difficult, especially if you've never worked with problems like Knight's Tour. It might take you half an hour or more to solve a single problem. Overall, a great app, but don't get it if you're frustrated easily.
