Many of you may have be like us, addicted to Logic Puzzles. Personally I started doing them many many many years ago in school and never stopped enjoying them.
Logic Puzzles from PunkStar Studios is a set of 25 super addictive and entertaining puzzles.
For those of you new to logic puzzles... it works like this:
- You are given a description of the scenario. - You are given 4 "categories". They could be anything, last names, places, activities, all related to the scenario. - Each category has 5 unique elements in it (5 last names, 5 modes of transportation, 5 murder weapons, etc.) - You are given anywhere from 3 to 8 clues per puzzle. Using those clues you either cross off things that don't match up, or connect things that do. - Using the process of elimination (and logic of course) you have to figure out how everything matches up. Some clues may not be obvious though, like "The woman who used the knife did not come from Scarborough" not only tells you that knife and Scarborough are not a match, but also that it was a female that used the knife so you can also cross of the male names.

One word: spellcheck I like logic puzzels enough to not make this a total rip off, but whoever coded this did not take the time to proofread the puzzle clues. I mean they mispell the word "poison" twice, and the sentence structure is frequently atrocious.

I've been waiting for these! So far so good, except that in the one puzzle "18 wheels" one of the clues says "Neither the computers nor Hal are going to las vegas". So I end up sending the cattle to vegas and the computers to Montreal. Yet i'm wrong! The solution is wrong! It sends the COMPUTERS TO VEGAS! Fix this glitch either by fixing the clue or fix the soultion!
This one drove me nuts, I got so fustrated that I actually had to use the solution. It was annoying. I hate using the clue/hints, but this one I had to cause it's solution is wrong! Not me!

Other reviewers logic Revised Review I've worked through the puzzles that some reviewers say the solution is wrong. They are not wrong. They just worked them out wrong. This is a fine app. I like the user interface for this type of puzzle. Very natural. Unfortunately, an app like this gets a bum rap when people can't solve it and insist it's the apps fault, when it's not.Update: Okay. Found one. Celebrity Chefs: The "Show Me" answer states that Nate is from Arizona, but a clue states "Nate, who used to play basketball, has never been to Arizona." Still a 4, but barely.UPDATE 2009-07-27 - Major revision of my review. I have found several more instances of clues clearly stating one thing, yet the answer key states something entirely different. This isn't even logical deduction. This is blatant lack of correlation between a simple clue and an answer. See the example above. Dropping my rating to a 1. Still ike the interface, but if the puzzles are constructed poorly, what's the point? Should be recalled until properly updated. No one else should spend money on this app until it is fixed.

Seriously?! I was so excited about this app and it would be great, if the solutions weren't wrong! Needs to be fixed asap. So why is there a 2nd edition of new puzzles if this one is still incorrect?! WHY?! Also should be able to check off completed puzzles.

Bad App The developers need to fix this app! What a shame really, I try to solve at least one of these puzzles a day (in books and on the Internet)... I really wanted to love this app. I don't know what logic they're using, but their "solutions" are very wrong for at least two puzzles so far and one was unsolvable. To avoid any needless stress, I'm going to have to avoid using this app until there is an update addressing these issues... It's called testing people! Buyer beware...

Kudos to the developers for bringing something new This is great fun and easy to move from section to section. I don't know about you, but 20 puzzles of this type will keep me busy for quite awhile - give this a try if you like logic puzzles.

Wonderful reincarnation of an old favorite Wow, I thought the genre of logic puzzled had disappeared, but now it's back and in a very handy format. The clues are devilishly clever, but the score card makes it possible to piece the threads together and eventually work it out. Lots of fun and it will definitely take you a while to work through the puzzles. Great app!

Definately needs fixing... I agree with everyone else. I went through and solved the puzzle but it told me I was wrong. When I looked at the answer the clue blatantly contradicted the answer. It was a waste of money and the creators should fix the problem and make it free for all the trouble it has given customers.

What a waste of money! If I could give this one-fourth of a star, I would. I agree with most of the other players in that a lot of the clues contradict the solutions that the makers provided. I was excited when I found this app but when I came across the bad clues, I figured it's just a waste of my time. I wish I didn't pay for it, but I did and I want to warn logic puzzles enthusiasts out there: DON'T BUY THIS APP. YOU'D BE VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED.
I know it's barely $2.00 but I want my money back.

Oh Hell No Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong!!! At least one of the puzzles has a blatant contradiction, and I have only had the app for a day so I'm sure I'll find more the longer I play. I wouldn't recommend this one folks.
