I Won (v2.1) This game is too damn hard, but i was able to win after the 7th game I believe. I took a snap shot of it because I'm sure people won't believe me. So I have proof. Also you can't give this a bad rating just because you can't beat it. Shouldn't you actual give it a high rating because of that? I had to scrap my usual logic on this to final beat it. I guess if you want proof you will have to leave a # or email address in your review and I will send it. I will check the reviews ever so often.

latest Chinese research results? That's a crock, it's already been rigorously proven that the player who moves first can always win connect-4. The research was done in 1988 by American and Dutch Computer Scientists. Since the game has been solved, there's no need to research it anymore. So the AI here is nothing groundbreaking since perfect-play connect-4 AIs have been available for two decades.That said, the developers should have focused on making a fun game.

Nice version - smart too! I like this game, it is smart and it looks and sounds fine to me. But if you don't like the sound, you can turn it off... I am not giving it 5 stars because the top row should be a different color - I kept trying to place a disc there!

Right If you like computer always beating you go for it other wise lame no way to win. Always sets it up to have to or three ways to connect four. Even if u try n block all threes. Has to be in number of blocks.
Even casinos let you win a bit to keep u coming back.

decent This application is not actually fun, unless you're masochistic. I would characterize my wife and myself as very intelligent (science/math) people and so far we are 50 and 0 against the logic of this game. Quite frankly, it's too good to be fun to play against. Maybe a difficulty setting would be nice.

Just Like the Classic Connect Four game by Milton Bradley To the people who gave it one star, you guys just aren't very good at this game. It is possible to defeat the computer by both going first or second, as I just did before writing this review. Can't wait for these mathematicians to develop greater AI to provide a greater challenge.

Challenging, NOT impossible. I am an excellent connect 4 player from years of practice (sad but true!). There is a complexity to the game that few people recognize. This version is fantastic to those of us that know the game's intricacies. Make no mistake - I have lost to it, but have also won many times. You just need to really know the game. Download the free version and see how good you really are!
