better than the alternative I got this app and the other crossword app ("crosswords") and prefer this one much more than the other. Downloading NY times puzzles is much easier (just put in user/pass combo) as opposed to figuring out the right info for "crosswords". Also this program has zoom, making selecting boxes much much easier. Moving around the puzzle is intuitive and in line with what you would expect on an ipod/phone. There's also a pencil mode and pen mode for those who enjoy that. Very good application, possibly even better than the old 1.1.4/3 application.

Excellent -- recommended Great app. Clean, easy to use interface, stable. Worked with my NYT account immediately. Definitely a good buy.
To the developers, if you are reading: The one thing I would add is a button to bring up the keyboard when you are in grid mode. Double tapping can sometimes be hard, particularly when zoomed out. Great job, and thanks!

Great Crossword application I stopped doing crossword puzzles because I can't stand writing while riding the express bus to and from work. With 2 Across, my problem is solved. Excellent, excellent app. A true bargain at $5.99.A note to everyone complaining about the removal of the LA Times, USA Today, Chicago Trib, etc. The developer of 2 Across reveived a cease and desist order from Uclick, the rightsholder to the puzzles she removed. It's a shame, but them's the breaks.To the user complaining about no notification of multiple word answers, get over it. No crossword puzzle I've ever done has told me how many words there are in the answer.
