Not bad   This app offers first chapters, which is great, because it saves you from buying a book and then not liking it. I wish more offered this. Try-before-you-buy is a great feature. There are also tons of free books to check out.
On the downside, it quits a lot when you're browsing books, and there's no way to lock rotation. Other than that, this app is reasonably easy to use and the text is easy to read.

I KNOW my Email is correct, both of the ones I tried!   I would love to review this product, however I cannot even great my account. If I am using my correct address.... And BELIEVE me I AM, then why is program saying it is not? Do I need some special address that I know nothing of? Any app that makes me have to search for help, free & ESP not, is such a sad thing to waste my time on. Keep this one free, because if I had spent $$ on this I would have unleashed terror on this 'review'

Ummmmm yeah   This is such a stupid app. You only get to reAd the first chapter of a book. And you have to scroll thru the entire thing. Not cool. I'll just stick to WATTPAD. It's a hundred times better

I deleted it 1 second later. Do ur self a favor, save possible trouble that I went through & get ur self WATTPAD. It didn't take private info (which not 2 mention probably wasn't even necessary!!!).

A workout app for your fingers   I really really wanted to buy The Graveyard Book and read it with this app, but I tried reading a sample chapter and found out that you have to SCROLL through the whole book.
I actually read several pages of Gulliver's Travels with Classics and would love this app if Shortcovers would just rip off the interface from Classics.
There's no need to try to copy books exactly for an ebook app, EXCEPT that they should emulate page turning. With a book I turn a page, read the page, then turn the page and only think about it at the end of each page. With this app I have to scroll for a while then turn the page, then repeat.
I'll buy a book and raise my review once Shortcovers fixed the reading experience. One more thing: get rid of all the toolbars.

F   Too few full books and difficult to search for them. A preview chapter is a nice idea only if the whole book is for sale. Otherwise it's just frustrating. Case in point is the Classics mix. Great books, but you can't even buy the full copies. Seriously, who reads only one chapter of a book!?

I LOVE SHORTCOVERS!!   Shortcovers is awesome - I just found Paolo Coehlo books that I hadn't read before on my bus ride home...that was really nice! I only wish the most popular searches were for actual books, not Candace Bushnell and John Grisham, barf! But, that's not Shortcovers fault, that's just what people are looking for...I can't wait to find more great books to read for many long bus rides home!

GUI isn't ready for primetime   Iceberg, with their high priced books, has the interface figured out. Stanza, with great selection, has a good combo of usability and potential. This particular app, however, gives a far inferior reading experience. It's free, and I fully suggest that you try it with a book with a free 1st chapter. Continuous scrolling through an entire chapter is nothing to be proud of, so I'm not quite sure how this received all the prerelease hype.
I'm still waiting for a proper reader for iPhone.

A work in progress   I am discarding this after two days. Too difficult to search for and buy books. Seems designed to be used on Mac/PC where the interface works better. But the reading experience on iPhone also disappoints.

Makes my commute so much easier!   I've been reading and loving the Twilight series, but I can't stand lugging around the books since I'm always traveling. I recently discovered Shortcovers and now I can read a chapter whenever I have a minute, during my commute to work and when I'm traveling.
