Simplenote - Codality
People are using Simplenote to keep notes, lists, ideas and more. Your notes automatically synchronize with your computer and all your devices. It's extremely easy to use. For those who want more power, you can also use tags, pins, versions, and sharing.
The best way to learn about Simplenote is to try it. After you download it, you'll be asked to create an account. This allows your notes to synchronize with your computer.
After you sign up, try creating some notes! Then use your computer to sign in at simplenoteapp.com. All your notes appear there, too. Changes you make will synchronize back and forth automatically.
You can also use Simplenote with other devices. Check out our Downloads page for a complete list of products that work with Simplenote.

Very handy! Nice way to get notes back and forth from PC and iPhone. Search feature is very handy.
How to get five stars and own this space:
1. Categories. Palm has them, we should too.
2. Sync to MS Onenote. Would be worth $20 at least.
Still, best I've seen so far.

Great App! Great Support! A great little app that provides a means to not only move lists on and off your phone, but access the same lists from your phone or any browser - and yes it is fast. I use it for my daily GTD lists. Of no less value has been the excellent support. I sent an email with a question and to my surprise only minutes later had a response from the developer. Very useful app. I have been using this for a few days and find it to be exceptional for handling notes easily, fast, and with the nice feature of storing it on the iTouch as well as a secure online site at a fare price. You can easily update your notes using the built-in keyboard or when the notes sync with the online storage site you can even edit them using your regular computer with an Internet connect. SimpleNote solves a big hole missing in the software bundled with the iTouch. I had numerous notes that I transferred from my old Palm in less than 5 minutes into the online account you get when you purchase SimpleNotes then it automatically syncs wirelessly onto my iTouch. I do a lot of training with schools and will share this program with them. As more schools look at devices like the iTouch for student use, SimpleNotes provides a nice solution for students who need a basic writing program on their iTouch while also allowing them to do more extensive edits online then re-sync the edits back to their iTouch…Great program!

Great little app! This note-taking app is very easy to use, has a streamlined interface, and automatically updates your notes to a private space on the Simple Note website. From there, you can edit your notes or cut-and-paste them into a Word Doc. Through this piecemeal method, I wrote the bulk of an article while covering a music festival. So, it's a great tool for journalists. It would probably be helpful for students, too. It's well worth the $1.99 to upgrade from Apple's free Notes app to the excellent Simplenote.

Great product! Simplenote has the best user interface that I have seen in a note taking program. With its quick search capabilities and straight forward design, jotting down that quick idea has never been easier. Whether you want to write some poetry in motion or a note to that special someone, simplenote allows you to take notes easily and quickly. Great product!

Great starting point, basic idea well executed, should get better with time Notational Velocity is a great note-taking application for the Mac- very basic but with a great interface which has been largely duplicated in Simplenote. The only hitch I have found is that when you enter some text into the search field and then hit the icon for new note, the typed text is not inserted into your new note. It was one of the little touches that made Notational Velocity so great, so hopefully the developers will add this soon.The web app seems to work very well (it actually has the same 2-pane interface that NV does). Synchronization between web app and iPhone app is fast and instantaneous, and you can force a sync if you are not sure if your changes have already been synced. I would like to see a batch export (into plain text files) from the web app (either all notes, or selected notes from a text search), as well as some formatting options on the iPhone app (default font, size, etc.) But the basic guts of this app/sync system seem very well done- a good synchronization system plus the great Notational Velocity interface = great note-taking system on the iPhone/iPod Touch. Kudos!

THEE Note app When I write down notes, I want to open up my computer and continue working on them seamlessly. Simplenote does that. The best part is, I sync my notes, leave and continue working on my documents offline until I find another Wi-Fi hotspot. If you write for a newspaper, or just love to write and keep on the move, Simplenote is the app that will solve your problems. Note: the developer is quick to fix bugs and reply to suggestion e-mails. Something EA! Games might want to try.

Too good to be true? I've beenlooking for a good way t o take notes on the phone and on the computer and be able to view them at all times. I even created a web-app for myself, basically this without the searchbox, but when i don't have internet access or when my server goes down I am without my notes! This application gives me exactly what i wanted: minimal interface, offline editing, syncing to an online service that i can access from anywhere. I honestly thought this was too good to be true but I wanted a solution and I'm glad I chose this app.

Search Feature ****ROCKS**** Finally!!!!! an app that searches detailed info......Search is a must for a real estate agent who is constantly getting leads and taking info on the go…..and….it syncs up your info….ThanksMy only suggestion is that it would be nice to be able to touch a phone number or an email address and have it bring up the phone app or the email app. Overall….it is a very useful app for a business minded person.

Awesome Notepad!!! Wow what a great alternative to the notepad that comes on the Touch. You are able to type in landscape mode, which is so much faster and easier. I rarely have a mistype, and I have pretty large hands. It has a spell check too. It's nice, simple, and to the point. Thank you!

great little app, does only what it says and does it well I've played with a number of note taking apps and none of them really lived up to what I was looking for. Then I settled on Simplenote. The iphone interface is clean and simple and well suited to simple notes with no clutter. Add in the ability to edit online and have everything sync without a hitch and the package meets all my needs with no useless clutter added. Thanks, Codality!

Just what I needed! Great, useful app This has got to be the most useful application so far on my phone. The developer has done a great job of creating a program that has just the right features while remaining really, really simple.The instant/live search and web syncing makes this a truly killer solution for me. I keep my to-do's in a loosely organized GTD type setup in this application. Since it has live search, I never have to remember which project, context, etc. an item is under... just start typing and BAM I have what I need. The fact that it syncs immediately with a website where I can view my notes, to dos, etc. on other computers is what makes it all worthwhile. I just keep the simplenote website up on my work and home computer and have all the info I need at all times.I use it for:- To do's - I have a note for each context and then keep projects within those for the most part... for example TO DO @home, TO DO @work, TO DO @mac...- Lists - Shopping lists, organized by store and section of the store (SUPERTARGET / dry goods / fresh / cold / etc.)- Quotes - I am always coming across a quote I want to keep. Now I can save it AND find it when I want it later.- Personal information - Non-sensitive info I am constantly looking up.As icing on the cake, the developer even replies to emails! I sent a suggestion and had a friendly reply in my inbox before I knew it. Highly recommended.

Great app ... This is an update to a review I posted yesterday warning buyers that the web app version of simplenote was not working. The web app now appears to be back up and running well.This is a great little note-taking application. Notes created in the web app sync very, very quickly to the iPhone/Touch app, and vice versa. It has quickly become an essential for me. As I do research on the web, it's great to be able to paste some information into a note and have it instantly available on my device. I'm temporarily knocking down the review to four stars from five due to the web app issue I had over the previous couple days. When functioning 100%, this is 5-star all the way. Assuming the web app stays functional over the next several weeks, I'll come back and bump this to a five.

Simple Intuitive, a must have for Iphone users This is a great App, first App for the iphone that is simple, intuitive, and a must have for all iphone users. Yes it is a "Notes" type program, but with a nicer UI and the ability to quickly copy / paste, say a recipe on your laptop online using the web log in and VOILA its on your iphone. I gave it four stars (for now I put in a request) because I'd really like a way to sort the list, like by numbers first, so I could have a Top 10 list of most uses lists, then have other less used lists after.

Terrific Notes program Just what I was looking for. I am trying to migrate from the trusted Palm OS to the iTouch. There was no way to get Notes from the Palm -- and I had many. I would have had to finger type for hours. (Major deficiency of the iTouch is copy/cut-and-paste.) This program let me copy to the Web and VERY QUICKLY sync to the iTouch. Thank you, thank you, thank you. BINGO!

Palm OS migration
Web App Sync never worked for me I purchased it 4 days ago. Entries I created on the web site were not sync'd back to my ipod touch. Notes created on the ipod create multiple copies on the web site. Support responded to my email by asking what release of the ipod software I was using. No further response. Synchronization to the website still doesn't work, although I create new copies of my test note each time I sync. I intend to delete the app.

I have used them all! I wanted a simple note-taking app for keeping track of my monthly expenses. I used Pennies and found it too constricting, deleted it after paying for it. The iphone note-taking app was not flexible enough and did not work in landscape mode. I tried Nozbe, Jott, and others. This is by far the best. Can make lists on web or iphone, then they sync flawlessly via wireless. And developer is extremely responsive, as good as it gets.
