ABOUT THE RED SHOES: Based on the classic tale by Hans Christian Andersen, The Red Shoes is a heartwarming tale about a poor orphan girl who inherits a pair of magical dancing shoes from the Queen. The girl proudly wears her shoes everywhere she goes, now that it’s the only thing she owns.
The shoes take on a mind of their own and dance even though the poor girl wants to stop! She’s rescued by a handsome soldier who carries her back to the orphanage.
Determined to see him again, she sneaks away and into the Grand Ball that the Queen is hosting. As luck would have it, the magical red shoes take over again, and this time the soldier is able to pry the shoes off her feet, thereby saving her.
They live happily ever after.

Sweet New Modernized Story with a Happy Ending! This is a creative modernized version of The Red Shoes. The story is told in a sweet way, much more appropriate for kids to hear than the original! The illustrations come alive as the pages turn and you can't help but hope for a happy ending -- which you get! Very affordable and good choice.

Great adaptation This is a neat adaptation of a classic tale. The illustrations are wonderful. The red shoes just keep dancing along as does this story. Another 99 cent bargain your kids will love.

Delightful Update of an HCA Classic Cute retelling of a Hans Christian Anderson tale. A gentle-voiced narration is accompanied by seemingly "lyrical" (literally dancing) illustrations. Interesting story with a storybook ending.

Lovely and Sweet What a darling story. We just loved the illustrations and the sense of movement of dance steps across the pages. I especially enjoyed how we can turn the pages like a real book in the palm of our hands. We are excited to check out more StoryChimes!
