Refresh button? This app just needs a refresh button or a setting so that it will fetch data on launch. I'm sick of it getting stumped by wifi WAPs that require authorization for Internet access. Currently it isn't smart enough to switch to edge or 3g when wifi doesn't provide Internet access. It will just blank out all the weather and make you wait 15min to refresh the data and will still make the same mistake if wifi doesn't have Internet access. Lame!
It would be nice for the buttons on the bottom to have a pressed/active state. Currently they always look the same with no indication that you have swiched to that buttons mode. Please put a down state to the buttons.
Lastly a quick select would be more effective than scrolling through each screen. This could be integrated with an overview view of all locations.

Accurate and Useful Weather Application The Fizz Weather iPhone application is well thought out software that delivers accurate current and forecasted weather. Main detail screen:The graphics here are excellent, well placed and pleasing to the eye. The details are readable in both dark and well lit situations. The choice of detail placement is among the best I've seen. The city being reported on and current temperature is plainly visible in the upper left hand corner and immediately draws a viewers attention to it. This is well thought out since this is among the top conditions that one is usually interested in viewing first. The apps wallpaper reflects the tone of the current weather, without obstructing or causing visual noise. Other conditions (wind speed, barometer, etc.) are placed in a vertical line immediately below the current temparture. This is huge in terms of readibility as the users eyes do not have to flicker about the screen for these details. In the upper right hand corner of the main screen a red triagle with an exclamation point will appear should a weather alert be issued for the area of concern. Touching it will bring up a near full screen list of alerts and warnings to choose from. Touch an alert and it switches to a screen overlay of the verbiage verbatim from the NOAA issuance. The forecasting portion of the application occupies the near bottom third of the main screen. Again, the icons are an easy read and self explanatory. At the very bottom of the screen are choices for how to view the forecasting engine. When choosing to view current conditions ("Now"), the user is presented with a 5 day range. An interesting feature here is the user also has the ability to cycle through an array of reporting locations in their area, each with perhaps slightly different readings. My area in particular has 8 airports in the region, so I was able to get readings from each of these locations over a 50 mile radius of my default location, in which, of course, conditions varied slightly. Very useful for day trips. Options to obtain more details on 5 day and 2 day forecasts are also available at the touch of a button on the bottom menu, as well as the option to view weather map of your state's region. Map screen: The map screen brings four more options to the user. Select the forecast option and you'll be presented with a 4 or 5 state overview of the forecasted weather for the current day. The graphic is pleasant and akin to the map seen on most local weather news segments. Another option will give you a satellite view of the current cloud coverage, and a third will give you a current doppler radar readout with storm activity intensity. The user can move this map around slightly and enlarge it in typical iPhone finger swipe fashion. Be warned, however, that the resolution begins to artifact heavily if one zooms in too much. The fourth map view option on the Map screen will take you to the native Maps iPhone application. Not sure how useful this is or how it is related to weather, but the option is there. Just know that if you select this there will be no way (that I found) to return to the Fizz Weather app without selecting it again from the spring board. Airport Screen:Another feature of the Fizz Weather app shows current and predicted airport delays on a screen dedicated to travel impact. A check of the local airports revealed that there were no delays during the one week that I tracked this apps accuracy, and the app reflected this well. Of course, the real test of this would be when there IS delays, but the opportunity did not present itself during this review.Charts:The last, and I think very cool, feature of this app is the landscape graphical charts provided for temperature, precipitation, rainfall, humidity and wind. View the iPhone/iTouch in landscape mode from any screen and these charts appear. You can cycle through each subject and get a graphical representation of a 12, 48, 2 day or 7 day forcast. Accuracy:Which brings us to the most important characteristic of any weather engine - accuracy. Without credibility, a weather forecaster is doomed. To measure accuracy, I selected several simple weather conditions to monitor over a 5 day period: current temperature, humidity, and condition verbiage (breezy, light rain), as well as the 5 day forecast. This particular 5 days had significant temperature and moisture changes throughout that window (starting with 15 degrees/snow and ending in 70 degrees/sunshine). Current temperature consistently matched (within 1 - 2 degrees) with what the official airport(s) in the area were reporting. Hunidity differed a bit more, but nothing that would really raise a question of its credibility. 5 day temperature forecast changed daily to match NOAA changes, and highs and lows were on the average +/- 5 degrees over the 5 days. Most of the time the highs and lows were within 2 - 3 degrees of actual. Conclusion:The Fizz Weather application appears to be a great forecasting tool for those on the go. It loads and updates quickly while providing fluid and seamless manuevering between features. The look and feel is slick and polished. It provides accurate current and forecasted weather conditions in a pleasing and easy to follow format. The only fault I can find with this app - and I mentioned it before - is the usefulnees of the radar. While it IS animated, it is really only useful to see the conditions at a state/regional level. Try and zoom in any more than at state level and you'll get a lot of artifacting and it is almost useless. One of the reasons I am reviewing weather apps is for use by baseball coaches who need a weather radar tool on their iPhone to to "see" real-time approaching severe weather while on the field with their teams. A radar that can zoom in clearly to at least a 50 mile radius with point of references (highways) would definately complete this application.

Same old weather site I was looking for a site that had a looping radar, this one does, BUT it is regional radar only. So if you are wanting local radar, you wont get it here. I want my money back!!!!

Worth it After reading the reviews, I was a bit frightened to lay down 5 bucks without trying the app, but I bit the bullet and am glad I did. The interface is smooth and easy to understand while packing much more useful information than the standard iPhone Weather app (which feels like a Mac dashboard widget, not a real app). The airport delay feature was a nice surprise. Some will complain about paying for this while there are free alternatives, but why not support the developers for creating a fantastic (and in my mind, superior) app? Good, but not nearly good enough This app is pretty good overall but has some major shortfalls.The Good -Good screen layout. -Good flexibility regarding setting up multple cities. -Includes current conditions and 2 & 5 day forcasts. -Includes radar ad other maps.The Bad: -Cost....Overpriced for what you get. You can set up a web oage to MSN or anotehr weather page for nothing and get the same info. -No hourly forecast. Should include at least some hourly forecast information. -Wind speed is always wrong. Always shows 16-24mph winds and I go outside and the wind is barely blowing. I'm a bike rider so wind is an imporatn factor for me (and the reason I bought this app) and not having it correct makes the app almost useless to me. -Current conditions page is often not updated until you tell it to update. If you exit the app on that page one evening and then start the app in the morning it still shows the same conditions as last evening until you tap "Now" to update it. For a pay-app, I shouldn't have to tell it to update.Bottom line - The standard iPhone weather app is almost as good as this app. This app is SLIGHTLY better than the free WeatherBug app, but not by much. Worth the price. This app is a good combination of the iPhone weather app and WeatherBug. For me, it displays all that I want and very little of what I don't. Better than the My Weather app in most areas (functionality, aesthetics, data, cost). I wish I purchased this before I spent the $15 on My Weather. Very nice! Works as described but has an issue with the date, I have notified the developer, once this is fixed will be a 5 star. Weatherbug only lets you have 3 cities, so its no comparison. Real Good, except The more information the better I say. This app stands out because it has humidity and it states low temps as "Monday Overnight" so you no longer have to wonder if the low for the day is the am or pm temperature. Good App for folks who want more info than the I Phones preloaded weather icon If you want a little more data than you get with the I Phone this app is worth the $5. Provides temp, 2/5 day forecasts, wind speed, precipitation, comfort level, humidity, visibility, UV level, stationary satellite and radar and airport conditions. Review As an international traveler, this is what I have wanted for years. Wonderful database, weather for surrounding areas for larger cities, & a button updates travel delays for all airports. Nice App, but still needs work Maps/Radar/Sat with the update is not good. I live in Kansas City and have Texas centered on the screen. Great product! It took me awhile to find the best weather but I decided this was the best one for the right price. I like the radar and area weather reports. I am sure the airport info will come in handy soon. One thing I would request to make this the best is to add the current temp on the 5day & 2day screen. That way you have both on one screen!
