needs more locations   East coast locations are lacking. There are no locations for South Carolina. Charleston is one of the top kiteboarding locations on the east coast and there are no locations available anywhere near it. I felt certain that this would be fixed in this update but I was let down again.....please add a charleston/sullivan's island location to this app!!!

Nice interface   The interface is clean and simple, but the app isn't useful to me because it only lets you view wind predictions for a few built-in locations. If it were tied in to the NOAA point forecast system it would be great!

Great app, but lacking in locations!   The app has great data for the location listed, but the location coverage is very weak. If location coverage is expanded, this will be a great application!

It's great!!!   I have used these predictions for surfing and it really works. Now when I want to surf I only go if windguru says the waves are big enough. It never made a mistake with me!! Get it! And yea it would be even cooler if they made a new layout or something...

Excellent!   Simple interface - clear, easy to read. There IS a preference setting to US measurements from metric. It has my sailing area (Annapolis, MD), so this is perfect for me.
Adding tides would be a nice upgrade.
Well done. - WindGuru review by DubMaker
Great!!!   Great for sufers and bodyboarders!! Make a new update with new things and/ or a cooler layout and it would be even better!! GET IT!!! - WindGuru review by Snowby1994
Good basic wind and weather forecast   It needs to support farenheit if it plans on selling in the US. But it's free so use iConvert. More locations would also be useful. Check their website for locations near you before downloading.
Update-iPhone settings has an entry for windguru where you can set metric or US values - WindGuru review by Hwy929
All about location...   Same reliable and familiar info that is on the web site. Unfortunately wind info for Oahu will not load while some other Hawaii locations work fine. It is a bummer to see that not all the info available on the web site is available on the iPhone app. If you are lucky enough to be located in a forecast area, this is a worthwhile app for sure.Edited 1/10/09Oahu site is reporting now! I could not be happier. Changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars. I use the app every day several times a day for wind predictions. - WindGuru review by jc9_0
Needs work   (1/8/09) If the location you need is in the database AND you work in the metric world, this app may work for you. For me, the US east coast is home and the app needs a lot more locations - Florida has seven (six on the east coast and Orlando), Georgia has one, South Carolina none. It also needs an option to work in non-metric space. While it is free, it's hardly "...the best weather site...". That title belongs to buoyweather.com. - WindGuru review by HNickM
Surprised - it really seems to offer the wind data a sailor is looking for!   I still need to put it through a true regatta weekend test - but it seems have some solid information available. I'll update if needed, but so far I like - very much! - WindGuru review by Viper sailing
