❖ Just like you flip through music album art in iPod, flip through your contact photos using cover flow. See the screenshots.
❖ Hate missing birthdays and anniversaries? The Alarms feature reminds you of upcoming birthdays, anniversaries and other events. The application icon badge shows the count of upcoming events.
❖ Can't remember the name of the plumber or that super cool restaurant? In addition to Name, Company, Phone Number & Address fields, FastContacts searches the Notes fields in your address book to find buried information. Now you can finally search your Outlook Notes that you synced to your iPhone!
❖ Visiting San Franciso (or any other city)? With one click sort all your contacts by City and quickly decide who you want to meet (and who to avoid). You can also sort by State, Zip, Country, etc.
❖ Why settle for something plain and boring? FastContacts gives you beautiful color themes to suit your mood and style.
❖ Want to exchange contact information? Export contact details via SMS or Email with one click.
❖ Organizing an alumni dinner (or any such event)? Tap the "Group Email" button to quickly send an email to all your alumni group members (or any such group) with one click.
❖ Looking for a job or a professional connection? Quickly sort your contacts by their Company/Department to see your connections.
❖ List your contacts by "Events last/this/next month" or "Events by month" to be prepared for all the upcoming events!!
❖ Add/modify/delete contact records.
❖ Duplicate contact record with one click.
❖ Create and manage contact groups & assign contacts to groups.
❖ Works great with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
❖ Works great when you sync your device Contacts with MobileMe, Microsoft Exchange, Address Book (on Mac) or Outlook (on PC).

☺ …This app is extremely useful and it beats the crap out of the contact app that comes with the iPhone. I placed this app in my coveted bottom section of my iPhone, it works that well - CrazyMikesApps.com
☺ Version 1 was a 5-star app for me. This new version is twice as good!
☺ Great app! Love how it organizes dates as long as I have the contacts information!
☺ Works perfect. Apple should buy you and integrate these functions into the native Contacts!
☺ This app is great for upcoming and missed birthdays!
☺ Everybody should have it - best app ever in this category!
☺ Awesome supplement to the phonebook and calendar applications!
☺ Searching the NOTES is wonderful!
☺ This app has officially replaced the iPhone's Contacts app for me!

How FastContacts Works
--------------------------------
FastContacts uses information from your Contacts application on your device (i.e. Address Book) to organize/sort contacts. For example, when you sort your contacts by "Events by month", FastContacts uses the date field information (any date field such as birthday or anniversary that is stored for a contact) to sort and display the contact list.
Note: FastContacts does NOT duplicate your contact data - it reads/writes your existing contact data from your iPhone. 2008 SpiceLoop

Simply perfect!   Never forget another birthday or anniversary again! This great app "alerts" you to these events in your iPhone's Contact list, and the best part is that it allows you to both add and edit contact information DIRECTLY from this familiar interface.
Unfortunately, due to the fact that Apple will not allow third party apps to "run in the background", this app does not give you automatic pop-up reminders, though they would if they could (I wrote to the FastContacts support team and received an answer within an hour! Impressive!!). Instead, you get that familiar little red dot with the total number of "reminder" events attached to the app's icon.
I give this app 5 stars... For me, it has TOTALLY replaced the built in app for Contacts!
GREAT JOB GUYS!
PS, I wish that those people who complain just for sport would take a look at the response rate of THIS development team! Instead of running at the mouth, they should simply ask for what they want - 'cause with this team, they WILL get results! It is totally unfair to give a poor "star" rating before checking in with the development team first!
I can't say enough good things about these people - AND the great app they have developed!

Application Consultant   From using the Kyocera to vx6600 to vx6700 PDAs, I was somewhat reluctant to go with the iPhone. Microsoft means Business and Apple means Fun.I decided to have some fun after having PDA phones for the last 8 years....Disappointed in the core product apps for iPhone..yep. iPhone core product sorts Outlook contacts alphabetically and that's it! As I have about 800 contacts, remembering names was pretty far fetched as I needed to reference companies. On a project, you can encounter 10 - 20 new people with each project. As I ran out of time to return the iPhone because of my disappointment, preliminary searching of contact apple apps wasn't too promising. Fortunately, I found this app. Installation is easy...Sorting is quick...and it offers more sorting capabilty than I need but may find useful in the future. As a tethered Outlook user, I'd recommend this product for those that meet similar requirements to sort your contact info. OK SpiceLoop..Now...how about Outlook reminders and allowing "snooze" functionality. Gauntlet is thrown...

Free, Easy, Helpful, Human!   I like this very simple app. It does just what it says and is easy to configure. It doesn't do much, but what it does, it does well. However, there was one major function missing: the ability to SORT my contacts by birthdate or anniversary rather than name... that way you could see them in chrono-order. So, i sent off a request via the app's handy little 'feedback' function, which was also very easy to use. Well get this...Shortly after i emailed my request, a real live HUMAN emailed me back... addressed me by my first name and everything! Whoa. The stock on this app went up at least another 1/2 star right then. Not only was it a real human, but they had great news about the functionality i requested: it is included in their latest update which is currently under review for publication (as of 2008-08-15). Super!NOTE: I'm basing my vote of 5 rather than 4 stars on the assumption that the SORT feature mentioned above is going to work.Who knows what other good stuff we can expect in the update.Great job, SpiceLoop. And thanks, Vinay, for the email. hAPPy! - Fast Contacts review by paige.findley
I would pay for this   To the developer. I realize that you may be trying to get people interested, but your app is so good that I would pay a dollar or two for it. i does things that the Apple software should do already. keep adding to the functionality and I would gladly pay for the next version. I am not a kid, but a business user, perhaps this is the difference. - Fast Contacts review by wide range
Keep Up the Great Work   This app has some cool features, and it is nice to have for free. But it also has a lot of potential to be full-featured paid app if it incorporates features from the few other contact apps currently available. For example, pull in the ability to easily edit groups from ABGroups and the ability to quickly enter new contacts from Speed Name. I think it already does most of what the Rolodex app does, and that one costs $1! Basically, if anyone is going to switch from the built-in contacts app, then it needs to be a single replacement that does everything, not 3-4 different apps that each only do a small piece. Is FastContacts up to the task?
The main reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there are a few bugs and usability issues. For example, the groups are not sorted, and I have a few duplicate groups that don't appear in the built-in contacts application. Also, I don't see the point in having separate sorting for city, state, and country. This should be one consolidated "location" option that sorts first by country, then by state, then by city, all at once. Lastly, there needs to be an easy way to scroll through a long list and especially to jump back up to the top to change the options. - Fast Contacts review by ADobkin
Office In A Note   I use this APP as my CRM/Tickler. We're a non-profit legal aid organization with a clinic in the basement of a soup kitchen. So no computers or internet. I use this APP to conduct intake in the Notes section of the Contact. Then I added a Date labeled Next Action to remind me when something is due. Flipping the APP to Events This Month or Events Next Month, voila CRM/Tickler. Didn't finish? Then just switch the date in the Contact. Sync to Google/Yahoo for an free "in-the-cloud" version (although no due dates show up - maybe mobile.me?). Right now, the only thing I'd really like to see is a landscape mode for data entry. - Fast Contacts review by JJ Jr
Great app   Great application. Was frustrating not being able to sort with the standard version. Wonder why Apple didn't include it with the new update (like they did with the calculator upgrade to scientific mode by flipping)? - Fast Contacts review by tide viewer
Very Useful!   Great application that provides the flexability Contact App should have had. Thank you for making a really useful App! - Fast Contacts review by KPRussell
Search please!   Simple and effective. The bottom buttons for things I don't do a lot are annoying. I wish it had a search function that included notes text. - Fast Contacts review by RecoveringPalmAddict
Nice work   First let me thank you for this great app. I use to keep a track of birthdays. Quick suggestions:
- When sorting by month, the app should default to current month.
- If the app could show today's event as a reminder (number) like apple updates at displayed, then it would be great. Otherwise it would nice to have the app send out a reminder email at the start of the day or month.
Again thanks for the great app. - Fast Contacts review by DCMetro
A Must Have   I use my iPhone for work and being able to quickly find a contact person by company is great. I moved the Contacts icon to the last page where I put unused apps and now this one is on my home screen. Much thanks to the developer! - Fast Contacts review by ICUSandman
Excellent idea   Excellent and very helpful little program and free! Works well and fills the void in standard contacts app. - Fast Contacts review by iphoneuser555
3 Stars For The Interface   I Don't like how the bottom bar is jammed with 5 items now. Get rid of the bottom bar and allow user to access the helpful links you provide via an info panel or something else that does not take up screen real estate. - Fast Contacts review by PlatoHead
Very Useful!   This app is great for seeing upcoming and missed birthdays. It's also great for filtering your contacts so that you can view them by groups, such as businesses or restaurants. - Fast Contacts review by blisshaha
Very useful app   I use it to keep track of birthdays. Great supplement to contacts and calendar. - Fast Contacts review by Bjjesq
Trisherb   Love it! Now I can get rid of a few aps I was using as this does such a great job of sorting. Would have paid for it too!
The update makes it even better. THANKS for continually improving. You do great work. You should charge for it!! - Fast Contacts review by Trisherb
Fast Indeed!   The built-in Contacts app won't start scrolling for several seconds after it loads my contact list. Fast Contacts is responsive immediately!
Only giving 4 stars because app could be a bit more robust in terms of features. However, I highly recommend this app. - Fast Contacts review by realcodeguy
"Missing" iPhone Birthday App has been Found   Thanks for providing the "missing" Birthday List application for the iPhone. Having used one on my Palm Tungsten T3 for years, it was hard to let that go. Now I don't have to. - Fast Contacts review by BaldHeadedBeardedGuy
Thank You for the upgrade!!   This application has officially replaced the IPhone's Contact List for me. It has so much more useful features now that using Apples version seems a waste of time. The application is fast, has many search options, and even has event reminders. Especially useful for me was the ability to search within the Notes field, YES, the Notes field!. Since I am always adding Notes to my contacts, this is an extremelly inportant feature. I have to thank the developers for responding to this request. Finally, they did a fantastic job with the new interface. The app looks great! This app is without a doubt the most used app in my iPhone. Great Job. - Fast Contacts review by Hsnyc
Nifty Application   This is a great little ap. It works crisply and does what it says it will do. I have contacts in my address book that I do not wish to designate as a company, but would still like to be able to view that way. This did the trick, works without any glitchyness, and free is never a bad thing. - Fast Contacts review by iThinkThere4iPhone
