Best tip calculator in the app store I've played with two or three tip calculators and must say this is the best of the best. Simple with not too many bells and whistles--just the ones you need. Beautiful design and well-crafted interface. Kudos!

Single screen goodness makes this tip app rock! Because you don't have to jump between different screens just to enter a reciept amount, this tip calculator is actually worth using. It's incredibly fast to put in your amount and adjust the tip percentage. Tipulator is great to look at as well. An excellent, simple tool.

Wrong Calculations I used this app many times and thought it was great. However, after playing with it, I realized that it calculates incorrectly. The tip number it gives you is actually higher than what you should be paying. For example: tipulator says that 10% of $30 is 3.33. ( it is just 3 ).

Bad update Why did you get rid of the round totals up / down? Round tip up and down also went away on this update. I like the key pad. But the roll wheel made it fun. Please update soon and bring back the rounding.

Not happy w/ upgrade I am disappointed w/ the recent upgrade. I used the round tip up to nearest $ option most often & now it is gone! Increased bill above $999.99 is a good move. I liked the scroll better than the keypad, but that's just me. Green and red graphics could be more professional looking. Thanks

I'm not one to pick, however.... Missing one thing. What if one guy didn't have any of the $200 wine, and he doesn't want to pay for that part of the meal? This is when things get challenging.

Version 2 upgrade a dud Like other reviewers, I preferred the scroll to the numeric keypad and the more flexible rounding options.
It was such an annoying change in features that I rolled it back to the previous version by uninstalling from the phone & then syncing with the older version in the backup on my laptop
Please give us back the original UI as an option!

Very Disappointing The original version allowed rounding for the tip; this one doesn't but allows rounding for the total. Why would anyone want that? I want to round the tip and pay the exact total.
If this isn't fixed I'm dumping it!

fix the app and it will be 5 stars I always thought tipulator was perfect and it's one of the apps that i just like to use because it has such a good feel to it but with the new update, I think it took away from the spirit of the app. I dislike the keypad in comparison to the old style so I think there should be an option somewhere to choose which you like better. I also thing that if you use the keypad you should have the option to have the auto decimal point so if I type 1150 it doesn't show up like $1,150

A Downgrade! Like the usual person I love App upgrades. However Tipulator's was effectfully a downgrade. The numberpad is a nice feature though I'd like an option for the old wheels. The removal of the rounding of tips/totals was a mistake and so was the addiction of turning your totals to a palindrome. No one that I know does that! Was great until the newest "upgrade". 2/26

Great App, almost perfect - better features than the others Application works as described. Easy to use and it remembers the last check that was entered. which is handy if you accidently closed the app or want to input the transaction into your registry later. The number selection dials may be difficult for the uninitiated or those with poor dexterity. You can see exactly what the app will look like on your iPhone/touch if you visit the tap tap tap website. That is how I made my decision to buy, that and the rounding feature.The only suggestions I want to give to all creators of these Tip Apps is that the description should say how many ways the check can be split (this app will split up to 25 ways!) and that there should be an option to round the entire check up or down to the nearest whole dollar. Good but not the Best " BigTipper" Best read my review the numbers spindle really is lame i thought it would be good, its BoooNo total bill rounder which is what i really wanted. the bottom 1/2 always is taken up seem a little Irritating. good but not the best, BigTipper just knocks this out of the park. Great application! Sure, you can use the calculator and do the math, then split the bill between 6 people, then lose track of what you were doing, then start all over again. Or, because you've got a handy iPhone and you want to show off the wonderful screen, you can purchase this great looking application for less than a buck. Pretty application but appears to be missing something It works as advertised, however when I round up/down with gratutities, I make sure the whole number is on the final total, not on the tip itself, it appears they reversed what the idea of rounding up is all about... I rather leave a tip of say 2.47 if it means my total I am going to leave is rounded. One more thing, I wish there was a way to separate food with alcohol, as I tend not to tip everything when my meal was $50 and I bought a $200 bottle of wine. Easy input with nice visual design It isn't full of tons of extra features most people don't need, but the simple input and easy to read design makes it a very friendly app. The only negative is it's not free, but it's also super cheap so I won't count that.
