Professional   Given that all of the best iphonographers (iPhone photographers) use this app, I downloaded it. I am not disappointed. This separates "oh, camera phone photo" from "oh... I like that" highly recommended. Surprisingly cheap for the quality.

Surprisingly well-done   I wasn't expecting the wealth of features in this app. Total control over shift shape, size, and fade of blur. Also, bonus black vignette tool, and saturation/color! I just wish I had as much control over the black vignette. Add cropping and sharpness and I could throw out Photogene.

Amazing and easy   I have done tilt-shift effects in photoshop - and it takes a good while (esp. on a hi-res image) but this little app makes it so easy. I am now looking for excuses to use this app! It's unbelievable at 99 cents.

Love it!   This app is great. It does a very good job simulating a tilt-shift lens. I've already created a number of miniature scenes that look very convincing. I highly recommend this app to any photo enthusiast.

Great and simple!   I got the 'best camera' app for 3 bucks and that one was okay, but was lacking the things that this app has for 1/3 of the cost.
This has everything I need to shoot pics for work and post just to Twitter and/or Facebook. This doesn't make your iPhone photos look great for a mag ad and the tilt-shift isn't really spot on, but it gets the job done for only a buck.

No full resolution save? Why?   Beware this app saves at low resolution which Makes absolutely no sense! Great software hindered by a crappy output. This app screams for a better resolution save that's higher than 800.
UPDATE this!!

Much improved after 1.1 update   Upadate 10/14/09, v. 1.1, 4 starsMy two previous complaints (see original review below) - black screen when working with previously-edited photos, and the low output resolution - have both been addressed in v 1.1, and TiltShift Generator has replaced TiltShift as my go-to t/s iPhone app. The app now works fine with any photo, and supports multiple output resolutions, including full-res. There are a few more improvements needed that would push it to 5-star status - namely, an improved landscape-orientation interface (only the image auto-rotates, the controls stay in portrait mode, which is awkward); an undo function action for both the color adjustments and the blur adjustments (to easily remove all adjustments and return to the original photo); and zoom/pan functionality. But even as-is, the clean and polished interface alone make this app a joy to use. Original review, 9/3/09 (v. 1.0, 1 star)Low-res output + bug = not ready for prime timeFirst, let me say that I love the user interface of this app. It's simple, slick, perfectly functional, and the built-in help the first time through is a nice touch. The functionality of the app is pretty much the same as other apps of it's kind (ie, TiltShift), but the UI is definitely superior. TiltShiftGen adds a vignette control, which is nice, but it also only includes 1 blur type, where competitor TiltShift has 2 (Gaussian and Lens). So feature-wise, it's pretty much a tie. But that's where the good news ends.I encountered a repeatable and fatal bug that makes the app completely useless to me: when loading a photo that has previously been edited using one of my many other iPhone photo apps (using iPhone 3GS), the image appears on screen for just a moment and then the screen goes black. The app continues to work normally - I can go through the motions of processing a photo, I just can't see anything on the screen. If I save the image, nothing shows up in the camera roll. This bug does not appear every time - only most of the time, and if I load an image that has no previous processing done to it, it works fine every time. But since I process most of my images using several different apps, this is a dealbreaker for me.The other major flaw in the app is the ridiculously small file size of the resulting photos. Your lovely 3.1 mp 3GS image will be reduced to a completely lame .42 megapixels (600x800) by TiltShiftGen. But wait, it gets worse...if you choose to use the app's built-in emailing function, you'll be left with whopping .14mp (320x426) photo. And that dinky file is a .png, not .jpg, which strikes me as odd. Needless to say, anyone who is 'serious' about their iPhoneography will not be pleased or impressed with the resolution output of this app. From a customer's standpoint, I just cannot figure out why app developers are still putting out photo apps that don't honor the full resolution of the iPhone's camera. (To be fair, TiltShift - this app's primary competitor - does not currently output full resolution files, either; but it's 1200x1600 output is far better than this app's.)So for me, TiltShiftGen's excellent user interface can in no way make up for the 'black screen bug' or the extremely disappointing output resolution. But if you're a curious iPhone photographer, it's probably worth a buck on sale to install the app and see for yourself if it will be enough for you.

Makes ordinary photos beautiful   The two finger control over center and breadth of the effect is sublimely wonderful to experience. The vignette, contrast, brightness, and saturation controls complete the palmtop color darkroom. Great app, by far the best photo enhancer in the iTunes store, bar none.
Update: after a week of use, I finally discovered the toggle to change from the default center sharp effect to a true tilt shift effect where it simulates altering the plane of focus. It's under the blur magnitude control. It's a button which switches from a dot to a dash icon. It would be easier if TS were the default instead of center sharp, but both effects are extremely useful.

Great buy.   Finally, the perfect little photo app. Easy execution, perfect concepts to get the wanted effects without doing it all for me. Only the third app review I've written out of 300 (purchased) downloaded apps. Other two were because I was so mad I purchased garbage.
.99 is just fantastic. Well done. I would say it's the best app for the money I've bought yet.

Amazing Program & Developer   This is the first iPhone app review I've ever written and I had to do so because this program is truly amazing! To be able to create tilt shift lens effects on an iPhone is awesome. The only reason I gave 4 stars for now is because the program doesn't yet give you the ability to save the image to a certain size (like small for email and full resolution for computer use).
I have no doubt this program will be 5 of 5 stars after an update or two. I own all of the other camera effect apps this programmer has in the app store and they are all equally as incredible and fun. As a semi-pro photographer these series of apps allow my to leave some of my toy cameras at home (holga, diane, polaroid, etc) and shoot exclusively on the iPhone. I love them all!!

This app has no value   I really do not understand this. This App is just a re-package of some functions from many Apps the author already put in the AppStore. Nothing new. I found 4 or 5 apps on my iPhone that could do the same thing. Regret bought this App.
