Easily time labor contractions. A handy one-button interface to start and stop the timer, it also lists the duration and spacing of the last contraction, the average and count for the last 20 minutes, and the last hour. The app times contractions from the start of one to the start of the next, as recommended by childbirth coaches. This app has been downloaded by over 150,000 people to assist with the birth of their children.
The 20 minute average lets you see if your contractions are increasing or decreasing relative to the last hour. The hour average and count lets you decide when to go to the hospital or birthing center.
Record the intensity of each contraction and use the handy charts to view the intensity, count, and spacing of contractions over time. Record notes with each contraction and review them in the history list. Edit or delete past contractions to fix typos or adjust the start time or duration of each one.
Email your list of contractions to yourself or your birthing team to monitor progress or document the event.
The app remembers all data and whether you were in the middle of a contraction or not between launches, so you can jump back and forth between this and your favorite game or another app to distract you during and between contractions.
Note that there is a "lite" version of this app, called Contraction Timer Lite. It is missing the intensity/notes for each contraction, the charts, and the ability to email your list of contractions. (And it has ads.) It is useful if you want to test this app out for a bit before buying it. Thanks! 2009, 2010, 2011 Michael Kale

Weak.   I'm actually suprized Apple allowed such basic apps in their store, especially ones which contain upselling references to paid applications. This has the feel of something thrown together in an afternoon, my wife tried it for less than a minute, but found nothing useful about it. She also said a 20 minute average is really not that much use when tracking contractions. There are much better tracker/timers out already all of which have had a lot more care, visual appeal and functionality put into them. I find it very suspicious that this app has more than a 1 star average. Just who is doing this voting?

Good basic contraction timer   This timer allows you to track the average length of each contraction as well as the interval between contractions over the past twenty minutes and, more importantly, the pat hour. According to our OB and our birthing class instructor this is exactly what we should be measuring to make the determination of when to come to the hospital. The only thing this lacks is more detailed history in case your contractions start reducing. But it will certainly indicate when you've reached 5-1-1 contractions

Good...   This app was pretty good for being free. I wish it kept count of how many contractions I had, which I ended up buying one that did.
