Very handy I have had a very good experience with this converter. Simple and easy to use and the fact that conversions are performed both ways simultaneously is AWESOME.
I think people have been unfairly harsh on this app with the reviews and star ratings. It is great and it is FREE. I think the people with complaints often don't have a good understanding of currency conversion in the first place. For example, someone said they couldn't find the British Pound. Did they happen to look at GBP which is clearly listed?!?!?
Only issue I have had is sporadic updates of exchange rates. Sometimes does not go thru. While I would not use this program for major financial transactions, for a hand held, on the road, in a souvenir shop kind of converter, it does an outstanding job.

right approach The creators asked for a review in exchange for getting this app for free. I already have the app "Currency" and the app "Units" - the latter is the $0.99 version. ACTCurrency is very straight forward. One selects two currencies (USD and Euro, for example). Entering 100 will give the value of 100 Euros in USD and 100 USD in Euros - just what I want while traveling. "Currency" translates one currency into a number of other currencies, which is interesting but less useful to me while traveling. The "Units" app can do the same task as ACTCurrency with essentially the same ease, as well as serve to do all sorts of other conversions. It has a "reverse" button to allow 100 Euros to USD to become 100 USD to Euros with a single button push. Fast and Easy to Use I travel a lot and I particularly like this converter because you can set it to a particular currency and then quickly get conversions both ways, and it stays on that currency until you change to another one. One of the best currency converters on iPhone/iPod to date I've tried a few other converters available and this one beats them all for its (1) simplicity - no fuss design, huge buttons and numbers, (2) functionality - dual conversion, auto-update (you may not want to trust the exchange rate 100%), immediate response, and (3) price - free for now!! It would the perfect 5-star rating if it had more currencies and I would have given it a 3-star but it lets you customize currencies that are no included. Converter Was Simple And Easy Seems good enough for me. Sometimes when I'm getting my currency exchanged, I'd like to know how badly I'm getting ripped off. I won't fight over the usual corruption at currency exchanges, but sometimes they go overboard, and then I'd rather be able to call it up right then and show them. Does Not Work For Me I downloaded this and have tried many times to use it. The application used to closes before I even get to input anything. The latest updates allow me to input numbers and change the currency rates, however, it is still very buggy and closes haphazardly.
