the best Rome tour! Seems like this is the only historical tour i could find that has original content, not just stuff copied from wikipedia. some of the articles are really interesting, espcially the info about the vatican, the colosseum, the forum and the sistine chapel. lots of pictures and captions push the story along as well. but the thing that's impressed me so far is that there's been a new itinerary added and metro stop info since i've purchased the app. i visit rome once or twice a year to see friends, so if it continues to grow as promised, i'll be happy i spent the $2.99! - Rome City Slicker review by historyBuff1620
City Slicker does it again I've been a huge fan of the City Slicker series every since the original Charleston app was selected as App of the Week and Staff Favorite by Apple. It is a perfect use of the platform, and solves my problem of hating with crowds when touring. I must admit being skeptical of how valuable the Rome version would be without video or audio, but it clearly makes up with in depth of information and photos. As for the price? You would need to tip a concierge more to get directions to any one of these landmarks. From the description, it looks to be managed by locals with huge ambitions.
