Translate is a multi-language translator which provides an easy to use interface for the Google translation services.
This application can be very useful for worldwide travelers, especially in Europe where numerous languages are in use in relatively small geographical areas.
In addition to being able to get translations from Google on-the-fly, all translations are saved in a Phrase Book. You can also filter for language pairs or search for words inside the Phrase Book! This allows you to save on roaming charges by compiling your phrase book before you leave your home country. You can also delete entries from your Phrase Book by swiping them from left to right with a finger.
You can copy text from another application and paste it into Translate to get a translation and vice versa. Mail, SMS, Safari and many many other apps are supported!

Not bad As others have said, it needs a clear button. Also, it needs a way to swap between translating to and from a language without having to return to the previous screen, select a different language (it won't let you pick the same language if you're already translating to or from it), then select the language you want again. - Translate review by Jon_Quixote

Translate Turkish? Tabi! Finally a free translation app that uses Google's translation engine and doesn't ignore Turkish in its setup of included languages. When you think about it: whether you are in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan or Uyghurstan/East Turkistan - in all these countries you get around best by speaking Turkish - worldwide it is spoken by more than 170 million people. Strange that other translation apps simply leave out Turkish. The apps does it's job as you would expect it and it does it well. - Translate review by AttiSun
As good as anything else available It does what it needs to do well. I wish it had the capability to store translations because whenever I use translation software, I like to translate the translation back to the original language to ensure it's conveying the intended meaning. Of course, copy and paste on the iPhone is what is needed. So, I can't dock the app for that. - Translate review by J craven

Some missings It needs 3 things:
Clear current word,sentence
History of previous translations
Switch between languages

Severe usability issue If you are translating back and forth between languages, you cannot switch. For example if you translate French to English then go back to translate English to French, it won't let you set the from language to English because it's already selected as the to language.
