Great idea, poor execution. I live in a moderately sized town with a (single) local taxi service (but worth noting the 10th largest in my state). "Closest" taxi service listed is in a small town over 90 miles away, which google estimates is a 2 hour drive! If this isn't bad enough, it didn't even manage to list any of the taxi companies in the major city that is only about 50 miles away (1 hour); nor any of the other cities/towns closer. They either need to do a better job of seeding the application with data or make it MUCH easier for user's to update the database. It's not like I expected it to be perfect (it is after all free), but it doesn't appear that they have made even a semi-legitimate effort to seed their database with information; nor was there any easy way for me to provide them with the information (ala urbanspoon). Maybe after it's been out for a long time the database will be much better, but maybe not; because I'm going to drop it like a hot potato and not bother trying to do their work for them.

Doesn't work!!! I live in Colorado Springs which is a fairly large city with no less than 3 taxi companies, but this app never brought up a single one. Even tried rebooting iPhone, but only got as far as finding city (Colorado Springs) and nearest street intersection (Astoria & Flag Way) but never made it to an actual listing for any taxis. Seems like a great simple app, if only it worked everywhere. Heck, fix it and I might even pay for it!! - Taxi review by Strega
Simple, beautiful taxi app Great graphic design combined with exactly the functionality I need makes this the perfect taxi companion. I launched the app and it immediately knew which city I was in, nice touch. No need to enter any user information.I live in San Francisco and always need to call up a Taxi but never want to call the dreaded 333-3333 number because they never pick me up. Now I can get a taxi anywhere.I imagine half the users of this application will probably be using it after they go to the bar and can't find a taxi number in their Address Book. poor It shows me only one taxi firm, and there are in fact dozens (98052). The right thing to do is show "top 10 ordered by distance", not "anything within fixed distance". Also, when it told me where I am, it gave a wrong intersection. The least it could do is show a map and ask.I will use Locly instead. - Taxi review by DenNukem
