*** Rangefinder + Detailed Scoring + Statistics – A true ALL-IN-ONE Golf Solution ***
Top five reasons why AirVue Golf is the golfer’s best choice:
1. Easy to understand GPS rangefinder - All important distances on one screen for quick viewing. Other apps DO NOT show distances to Fairway markers, Hazards or Front, Center, Back of Green on the satellite image.
2. Detailed scoring - Track putts, fairways hit, GIR, scrambling, penalties, and sand shots for you and 3 of your partners using a VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND interface.
3. Statistics - Analyze your last round or all your rounds. Graphically analyze your game and see where you are losing strokes. Helps improve your game.
4. Hardware Support – Works on both iPod touch and iPhone.
5. Dynamic rangefinder - Measure distances to anywhere on the course by simply touching the screen. Only AirVue Golf offers a Club Caddy to quickly see what club to hit To and From lay up targets.

Great GPS!!!   I played my first round yesterday and loved the GPS!! I didn't have any problems. Super fast to load and only had one hole where it didn't switch to the next. I played with someone who had a skycaddie. The distances were right on with his. I loved being able to see the satelite view and dynamic range finder.
Overall great GPS and worth the money. I was very pleased.

Customer Satisfaction   Amazing customer response. I inquired about a random course in the middle of nowhere at 10am and by 1pm that day it was up and running. I am looking forward to sneaking out after work and knocking the ball around with a little knowledge finally as to how far away I am. Some course views are more enhanced than others, but the just is all the same and my foursome will be envious of me FOSH.

It does what it says!!!!   I play on a "dirt track" in Bandera Texas and if they can get my course up in a week your course should be no problem. The yardage to the hole on this application is either right on or no more than two yards off the yardage provided by the course on the cart GPS system (I walk).
A fellow walker on the course has a $500 handheld GPS device and he is sick he wasted so much money when he saw AirVue.
The graphics are good enough. You can't tell the colors of the flowers on the course but if you want yardage......this is it.

Excellent GPS for golf   The app worked exactly as I had hoped and much better graphics than the stand alone golf handhelds I had been considering. Customer Service was great in getting a course added. I requested a course I was to be playing in two days and it was up two hours later. Well worth the cost and I will be recommending to friends.

Fix the Bugs, Get More Courses   The app crashes when I am changing images from Google and slow to display pictures. They need to fix the bug and improve the speed of the pictures loading. Sometimes, it takes more than 50 seconds to display the hole. And I am disappointed with number of courses mapped on the app. They claim over 10,000 courses but I dont think that's the case. Maybe they just have names of the courses on their database and not mapped for rangefinder. UI needs some improvements too. Putting a score for each hole is a hassle. I need to exit the main page to enter my score. I would give this app a 3 star if the app is $5 but I expect much more from the app at the current price.I hope the developer reads this review and release some updates for the app.

Nice app...   Although pricey, I'm pleased with the gps and course accuracy. Most courses I play here in Michigan are available in the app. It worked great the two rounds I used it so far. Sometimes app doesn't know you're at the next tee box... Look very much forward to next version and updates.

OK, not bad. But I now see some advantage of dedicated golf gps unit   Positives:1. I've had good luck in contacting airvue at various email addresses. They let me know one of the courses I had requested was now mapped.2. New online (airvuegolf.com) golf course search tool is handy for identifying which courses are mapped and which are not.3. App is well written. Features and presentation are very nice. The view of the hole is always presented so that the hole is at the top of the screen.4. Hole view, fairway view, and green views are well done.5. The range finder feature where you can measure your drive is nice. But I always forget to press the button at the tee box to start the measurement.Needs improvement:1. Transition from current hole to the next hole. I recommend you add a "Next Hole" button that's available on the current hole (from hole/fairway/green views) that will immediately take you to the next hole. The auto transition doesn't always work and the current method to manually transition to the next hole is too many steps.2. Not necessarily airvue's fault, but the time to get a gps signal and update your yardage is long - sometimes 15-25 seconds. For example, at tee-box you'll look at the app. then stick it in your pocket to t-off. Then, when you get to your t-ball and take the iphone out of your pocket, push the on button, swipe to unlock, it can take 15-25 seconds to update yardage. Way too long. You're also left guessing if the yardage you're looking at is an updated accurate yardage or if you still need to wait for the yardage to update.3. I realize an action to mitigate the issue in #2 is to turn the iphone on prior to arriving at your ball, but that's a pain. It would be somewhat better if you didn't have to swipe to unlock the iphone - that is, if I could just reach in my pocket and press the on button, it wouldn't be too bad. But because of the swipe to unlock iphone, this mandates you take the phone out of your pocket. It's a bit of a pain.4. The yardage refresh time is where skycaddie has the advantage over any iphone golf app (not just airvue).

Great service   These guys make a real effort to contact you and make you happy with the app as you are setting it up. I added a new course in the morning, played it with a buddy of mine who lives on the course and knows every inch of it.....and he says that AirVue was darn close to perfect with their distances every hole! At least for me...it really makes a difference in my game having the confidence to know exactly how far to hit every shot. This is a great alternative to dropping 2 or 3 bills for a rangefinder. The only drawback is having the scorecard part of the app popping up on occation on its own...I say, if you are too stupid to fill out a scorecard with a pencil you shouldnt be out there in the first place...drop the scorecard part.

Excellent application; great customer service   Does what it says, does it well. New version works even better for areas with poor GPS and service.Purchased this app instead of buying an expensive several hundred dollar dedicated unit. Before buying spoke with Froi in customer service...incredibly responsive. Asked for my home course to be rushed...they did so EXACTLY when they said they would. Other courses I have requested have been added just about daily.Very satisfied. This is a great product, works quickly seems accurate and is easy to use. They are open to suggestion as well.

Frustrated...   Requested a course through the app and I'm still waiting for the course to be added. I've tried playing on the course in the manual mode but rotating the map and zooming in and out is very frustrating. It runs very slow and choppy and seems like the iphone isn't fast enough to run it well. I will get around to emailing these guys to see what is taking so long with my course. I hope they can map it because I imagine it might be more tolerable, not having to manually position each hole myself. I'll update my review after I see what they have to say.

I Love My AirVue   I got the AirVue for my iPhone and it works great. I looked into other products but they did not have the features the AirVue has and they all cost a lot more. What I like about the Airvue is it's on my iPhone, I don't have to carry around an extra device. The AirVue gives me a satellite picture of the hole I'm playing with distance markers for traps and the green and how far I am from the hole. There are hundreds of golf courses here in Southern California and the AirVue has just about everyone; if they don't I request a download through my iPhone and it's there for me in a day or two. I paid less than $40.00 for this application and that's all I'll ever have to pay. What a bargain.

Great Rangefinder and Tech Support   UNBELIEVABLE tech support! Downloaded and requested at least 6 courses in my area. ALL were ready in 2-4 days... awesome! Rangefinder is the BEST of it's kind. Scorecard could use some additional features such as yardage, tees, GIR, FW Hit, player names. If these items make it into an update, this app will be perfect! Oh yeah, the screen drag feature in the rangefinder mode is the best. Nice job guys!

Good effort but needs work. Not responsive for course info   I am a 90s player and I love playing golf. I researched the other iPhone rangefinders but decided to give this a try because it had the dynamic range positioning. I just got done playing 4 courses with this app so here's what I've experienced. First, I was only able to play without course. I have requested my courses immediately after I bought the software and I still haven't got it yet (been 1 week): PROS:- If you don't know the course, It's great to see birdseye hole layout, obstacles over a hill, or get a rough distance to water. This was the main reason I bought this.- The dynamic rangefinding is great especially when you want to lay up or determine how you want to attack the hole.CONS- These are satellite maps. Two of the holes in one of the courses I've played changed. Therefore their course info is only as accurate as Google Maps (That's where they get their maps as stated on the website). I knew this before buying but the one course I played had made their changes over a year now.- Your position can be off up to 12 yards. I don't have that accuracy anyway and it's not the main reason I got this. Lower handicaps beware. Also, it can take up to 15 seconds to update your positioning.- Again, I've requested course info but never received it. They state it only takes 2 days. Magoo3 must know the developer to get his course marked so fast.- You are unable to pan the map; You can only rotate. Since you're always positioned in the center of the screen, it would be ideal to pan the screen to view more of the hole without zooming out and in. This is important since the farther you zoom out, your position becomes more inaccurate. This app has potential but I'm still questioning the $40 I paid. Perhaps when I get the course info, I may get more value...that is if I ever do get it. * Note to developer - Panning the map would be so nice. It's a native feature with iPhone's images and Map. It just makes sense to include it if you're showing maps.

Great app   I bought the app Saturday and requested A local course. My tee time was 615 a.m and when I got to the course, it was already marked. The app worked great on the course. The yardage displayed real fast and I was real empresses. I did loose cell reception a few time which slowed down the app. If your playing a new course this is ideal because it shows the yardage and the picture of the hole. I love it.

Great golf app   I've played a couple of rounds with AirVue Golf and it works very well. The distance measurements have been good and the app has good response once the hole has been downloaded. The dynamic finger-drag distance measurement works well - especially for planning lay-ups and hazard avoidance. Some delays occur when cell coverage is poor and you have to wait for a hole to load. Also sometimes when switching between the scorecard view and the hole view in this version. Customer service has been excellent - with quick responses and requested courses added within days.

very nice app, just a couple of usability problems   Overall I've found it to be really useful and will continue using it. I requested 4 courses when I first got the app (all in the NYC area) and got them all in a couple of days, so no complaints there. The only problems were:1) its impossible to use the scoring unless they provide an update to allow the user to enter your own player names - we tried it with 4 of us and I kept forgetting who was player1, player2 etc.2) its a bit clunky going between holes. I cant offer any useful suggestions other than to provide a feature to allow the user to clearly select that they are moving onto the next hole.also, would be nice to show the par for each hole on the email that gets generated off the back of the score sheet....
