Work your second half of the day with more 'pzizz' than the first! I bought the hardware-based pzizz about 10 years ago and totally love it... Now I don't have to carry it AND my iPhone everywhere! I *only* gave this app 4 stars because I understand that pzizz also makes an evening "sleep" mode as well as a "rest/nap" mode, and I had hoped this would have both rest and sleep modules... (maybe version 2 - hint,hint). If you have never took a powernap with pzizz, spend the $3 (I spent over $70 for my hardware pzizz) and give it a shot... You'll find you can't work without it.

Expected more from Pzizz I've been using the desktop version of Pzizz for a few years now and love it. The UI is excellent and the application works great. I had high hopes and expectations for this iPhone application to follow suit with the interface and graphics of the application. Parts of it do work like an iPhone / iPod Touch, others don't. For instance there is not a basic volume slider on the home screen like you would expect. There is not pause button either; just start or stop (stop resets the track and you have to start all over). Overall, I guess I expected it to look and act more like the regular desktop version.

Wonderful tool for napping and de-stressing I've had a pzizz unit and the pzizz sleep software for years. When I want/need a quick nap or have trouble getting to sleep, I rely on pzizz. Now, I don't have to generate naps on the mac and transfer them to the iPhone, I have the software right here! Great pricing too - perfect idea to get this out widely. I would have paid more but the price point is perfect. My preference is to not have the voice, so it is great to be able to turn that off in the settings.One suggestion... the manual suggests "to avoid being disturbed during your relaxing nap, turn your iPhone to silent mode" - it sure would be nice to have an option on the application itself to do that instead of having to remember to do it before using the pzizz tool.Thank you pzizz!

Fantastic tool I've long used the Mac version but get bored of the same 3 or so naps I move to my iPhone as mp3 (and the process is easy but time consuming) so having this available as an app and getting a new "nap" each time is a godsend.
The app is wonderfully simple to use and the audio is fantastic. And, best of all, the naps really work!

Best Nap/Relaxation Method At 58, and as a psychologist, I'm a long time collector, user, and occasional producer of sleep and relaxation inductions. Pzizz is the best I've found, by a wide margin. Not only is each session well-executed, but Pzizz avoids the classic problem of attenuation: people tune out words that they hear again and again. Can't wait… For the sleep module version! That's where the true magic of pzizz lies—as an insomnia cure. The energizer nap module, though, is for now just excellent!
UI could use a bit more polish, but that's not related to the functionality of the app.

Awesome app! but the interface needs some work! I have pzizz desktop for mac and I really love it, now that it is on the iPhone you can generate naps on the fly, awesome! thanks pzizz! I only give it four stars because of the interface, pink? c'mon I'm a guy, I don't want to be seen with pink stuff on my iPhone screen, could you please make it yellow green? it is a very refreshing color and unisex, and lose the head graphic please, it's creepy!

What the iPhone was build for Whn I envisioned a device that 'does it all' 5 years ago after discovering Pzizz, this is what my heart desired.
If I had to choose between the phone functionality and Pzizz--take the phone.
Pzizz has saved my bacon so many times it's crazy. Am driving back from LA right now on 4hrs of sleep and a 12hr workday. Pzizz keepse alive, centered, and helps make a more effective teacher, performer, husband, and human.

a great start I've been a long time fan of the Pzizz desktop app and was eagerly awaiting the iPhone app versions. This is a great start for Pzizz on the iPhone. It works just like the "Energizer" module in the desktop app and sounds pretty good. There are some parts of the soundscape that sound a little crackly or distorted (justifying 4 instead of 5 stars). But I'm sure they'll fix that in a later release. It's not distracting and probably not noticeable for most users. I very much look forward to the sleep app and maybe a meditation app?

Absolutely Awesome Me and my wife work very different schedules, and in order to spend any quality time with her, it is critical that I be able to take an hour to 90 minute nap when I get home from work (so I can stay up later but still have enough energy for work the next day). But it can be so tough to unwind and get satisfying rest quicky after a long stressful day. Pzizz is incredible. It absolutely knocks me out, and I wake up refreshed and relaxed.
For those asking for the alarm to be removed, wait for the sleep module! It's not just this one with the alarm removed, it's a whole different set of suggestions and backgrounds. And while this one is designed to bring your brain down into sleep mode and then back out of it, the sleep one just helps keep you asleep. So buy this one now for napping, and pzizz sleep when it comes out for deep nightly sleep!
Anyway, I can't recommend this enough for those who need or like naps. It's varied and soothing.

great nap app the iphone/ipod app is as great as the desktop application but with all the convenience of being portable. not only is it quick and easy to enter into a resting state but also to get up from it. i've been using pzizz for more than a year and (knock on wood) have not overslept during a pzizz nap yet. it really does make a big difference to be able to have a 20 minute recharge.

Wonderful app that will become better I've used the desktop version since it came out; as I remember it too started with a not-very-flexible Nap module and quickly progressed to more modules and much more flexibility. With this version, I can let my iPod Touch do the work, instead of having to create a session on the desktop, transfer it to iTunes, load it onto my iPod . . . but I have more choices that way. But when I am traveling this version fills in very well. I am looking forward to better volume control (or at least a choice be to wakened gradually instead of loudly) and more control over the app as a whole, but meanwhile I am delighted to have this first version for quick relaxing refreshing naps.

A surprising perfect match Pzizz, it's easy to be scornful, but until you actually try it, it's hard to describe just how beneficial this is. I slump usually around four each day and a twenty minute nap with this app rejuvenates me completely. I've used the desktop version for a few years now, and the developer does a good job. Highly recommended.

Love this app The regular program for the Mac is great, and I couldn't be happier to now have it as an app as well. I can't tell you how many times I have really needed a nap or short meditation and I just can't quite get in the right state of mind. Pzizz always fixes that, and it makes my day so much better! It's great stuff, check it out.
