Highly Irritating The playlist feature would be great if it worked. Whenever an article gets outdated the whole app crashes. I can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet.

I would expect nothing less from NPR. Great Great GREAT app. was reading some of the other 1 star reviews and can only say that if you don't want your location to be known, then you should not carry a GPS phone...idiot. lots of apps use this and it is for filtering content. I really doubt NPR is trying to kill you (which not be such a bad idea for the gene pool now that I mention it...)Anyway, this is a fantastic app in every way. It gives me the best of my favorite news and features at the touch of the screen. Content is simply EXCELLENT! Thank You NPR! Without a doubt a shining 5 stars in the apple store!

Still cannot post to Twitter Even with this new update, the app still thinks I'm offline when trying to post to Twitter. Sharing via email or Facebook works fine, although it should post as a link to my FB wall like every other app instead of changing my status. I'm uninstalling this for now.

Wow!!! Thanks NPR. Now I can take my news junkie self to the next level. App works flawlessly so far. One request would be to be able to resume story where left off if you have to leave the app. Would also welcome push notifications for breaking news.

Would Be 5 Stars if 4 Big Flaws Were Fixed I've been using NPR Addict for several months and although I really liked the app, it soreley needed a playlist with a Play All capability. I was very happy to see that the NPR News app included a playlist. The playlist Play All works great but unfortunately the app has four big flaws compared to NPR Addict. The first is the inability to pause a story and resume playback from the pause (only option is to stop play and start over). The second is the inability to fast forward or rewind within a story. The third is an incomplete story list. For example, the NPR website and the NPR Addict app show the same stories available for yesterday's Weekend Edition Saturday broadcast. NPR News for some reason lists only about half of the stories. The fourth flaw is a long delay for stories to show up. New show episodes that have been available using NPR addict for 6 hrs still have not shown up in NPR News. If these four flaws were fixed in a new release I'd give it 5 stars.

Awesome but flawed I've been waiting for this application since I first bought an iPhone, and it's a brilliant first step. Access to individual programs, home stations, and the web-based text summations all work like a charm with one major flaw: no pause function or capability to seek within the track. I understand this isn't probably going to ever be available for the live radio station following, but it really is a necessity for the individual program replay. Also, the text news function occasionally sticks and one ends up reading old news. If those two issues are fixed, this will probably be my most used app.

This app refuses to run if you disable Medialytics I get the following message when I try to run this because I have disabled medialytics:MEDIALYTICS PRIVACY NOTICE"NPR News" chooses to monetize their content using the Medialets Ad framework, which in turn requires usage of the Medialytics Tracking engine. I then have two choices: Don't Allow (Quit) or Allow (Continue)This is really lame. I donate a lot of money to my local NPR station, and I shouldn't have to enable Medialytics (which tracks GPS coordinates of its users, a really big privacy concern) to use your app. You HAVE to get rid of Medialytics on this app, or at least let it run if it has been disabled.

Needs some added features Pretty amazing app! The interface is attractive and really easy to use. I would like to see an update that has a "pause" feature for the audio playback, that will allow you to pause audio, and resume playback from where you left off. As of now there is only "stop", which means you have to start the audio stream from the begining if you have to exit the audio or pause for any reason. Other than that, well done!
