They were the first, but no longer the best Pros:Has the most sports of any sports app so far, including racing, PGA, tennis, and the olympics.Quick interface.Cons:No play by play or statistics.Going "back" isn't intuitive, it's a copy of the webapp. Remember to go back, click on the links at the bottom of the app. There should be a back button at the top.Summary:If you want the most comprehensive set of scores, or want scores outside of the four majors, college Basketball or college football, this is your app. However, Sportacular has play by play information, player stats, news, and playoff brackets.

SportsTap Great free app! Simple to use, quick answers to all your scoreboard questions. Oh and by the way, if you click the SportsTap logo at the top it does bring you back to the homepage, contrary to a previously posted comment.

Quality does not make up for quantity SportsTap contains a numerous amount of sports. The largest drawback is the speed of this application on EDGE. The entire application is just web view. Imagine Safari without the top and bottom bars. That it all.What would make this application a whole lot better (and even payable) would be if the interface was all programmed. The data would then be sent through HTTP requests. This would increase the speed of the application over EDGE tremendously.Furthermore, because this application is simply web view, the back buttons are very small.Other than that, this application is good for knowing scores. Anything else will require a different application.

Faded Away I hate the advertising. I would rather pay one dollar than have advertising. I would probably even pay two dollars. Also, when you are on a wifi network and cannot connect to it there is no way to get back to the app homepage, or any page. It just stays on the network authentication page. Also, the hierarchy of pages is not large enough and should be on the top also, not just the bottom. The new app is way better.

improvements needed I used to prefer this app over other sports ones but lately it's disappointing me. Soccer added was great but it's slow and sometimes incorrect. Fav teams for NCAA fball only go to troy??? Hello wash, wvu, etc. That needs to be fixed immediately. Plus you should be able to go to fav teams off the bat and not to their sport first. Also esp. On gamedays this app has been under performing recently.. Fix these and I'm sure you will get more users back...

Be careful with the settings I have mostly enjoyed this app.Two comments that I hope the developer(s) will be able to address. This evening, the first full day of NCAA football, it takes forever to access the Football section, I can only imagine that the server is slammed. And if you choose to "Customize Sports" by selecting the "Settings" button....well don't touch that (the Settings) button while they are all shaking, or else it will be deleted and then you can't access the "Settings" again. It is easy to delete more than a sport.

Sports fan? Download now. I was so hoping they'd make this... I loved it as a web app, and this is literally exactly the same. I'm not sure how they could make it better. I wish it didn't have the text advertisement at the top, but I can't (nor would it be fair to) complain since this is free.

Does one thing and does it perfectly This program does one thing and it does it perfectly. It provides live scores for all the team from most all sports. And since it's on your iPhone, you can check the scores anytime and anyplace. I wasn't sure if I would like this because these programs are often cluttered and difficult to navigate. This program was clean, simple and wonderfully executed. It's so intuitive you don't even have to think. Open, click, click and you've got what you want. Great user interface. Useful. Free. Earns my highest recommendation.

Pfft Another free app that bites. I took a screenshot today that listed the Jets vs the NY Redskins. Ack! No box scores. It says BETA, but this ain't even ALPHA code. Stop releasing apps before they're ready!
