Love it!!! I love this app. The recent updates were exactly what I was thinking and didn't rven have to ask.
I was wondering if you could set up a section for recipes that would link to the preecisting items in the catelog, but allow a spot where you could check ingredients and have them compile in my shoping cart. For example, if I'll need 1/2 stick of butter for one recipe and 1/2 stick for another, my cart will say I need to buy 1 stick.

I thought this was the best app...However.... I thought this was a GREAT app...But now I am really upset, downright PO'D. I have put many, many hours into this app. I've put in hundreds of items, custom lists for different stores. Many hours of typing and fine-tuning all the items I need.With this latest update I lost it ALL. EVERY SINGLE ITEM I put in is gone. I've done all the updates previous to this one and never lost anything!I am so pissed-All the hours I spent with this app are now completely useless and for nothing. All that work, wasted. If there is some way I can get my lists back, then please, tell me.If I can't, I want a refund.

Best shopped app. Fast to use, not much room for improvement Great shopper app. Adding items is fast, and efficient even for items not in the list. Start typing, and choose it from autocompleting list, or finish typing and just add the item you just typed. No double entry for adding items not in the database. New items once added are quick to categorize.Categorizing is one of the great things about the app. Once in group view, you don't forget items that are in the same area of the store. No backtracking!!!!Only two items that could use improvement. One, allow clearing of the list before everything is checked (and it only clears items that are checked, leaving items that are uncheck still on the list). Two, I'd love to be able to have different sets of shopping lists. (wishlist, Home Depot list, clothes list in addition to the food list that's there now). My top shopping app pick! Great app, most customizable of all shop apps so far. Nice interface. Perfect for people who buy specific things. Great for me b/c I'm a vegetarian (even let me delete the meat section!). Would be great for people who buy ethnic foods or specific brands—just add them in yourself. Offers folders for organization and subcategories. I wish I didn't waste my money on the other shopping apps, but it was the only way to find the best one for me. It doesn't offer an expanded list of items to start with, just the basics. However if you are willing to invest some time, it can be a powerful list generator. I also wish they had more folder icons. Disappointed, cannot recommend it. Based on reviews by several people that had used Handy Shopper on the Palm/Treo, I thought this was the right one among many choices. However, it's missing one important feature: a mode that hides items as they are checked off (not just dimming the entry). Switching modes back to "all" in Handy Shopper restored the entire list.But, I can live with that. What I can't live with is the deletion of all OTHER application data when this application was installed. Great Shopping App (Downloaded 10-23-2008).Very easy to use and very very customizeble. Did some rearch and found many reviews on this app online. Theirwebsite also shows some clips on how this app works. The developer is very prompt at answering emails(another main reason i went with this app is that the developer cares about their customers).With the developers newest update, you can set a "favorites" template and just copy and pasty items from there, very neat.Also like the idea that you can take a picture and save in under the item, this feature had me sold.I would have given the app 5 stars if it had a bit more items already stored in its program (ie; doesn't have chocolate milk).But then again, once you add the item, it is stored and can be easily found. Overall great app for shopping. Even has pharmacy items. Bummed I was excited to get this since I had a similar product for my Palm that I have missed since giving it up. It would be great if the program didn't crash about 20 times while I was trying to edit and input the items I commonly buy. After syncing about every 5 entries I thought all was well until I looked at my finally list. It was jumbled together to the point that I could not make out what was what. A very clean, simple UI. Nice distinction between categories and products within categories. I like that it allows you to distinguish between different types of a certain thing, chicken for example. It is also VERY customizable, and allows me to rearrange existing categories in anyway i see fit. I like that i can add pictures to my items, or even to categories, though I'm too lazy to source all those pics. A great feature is the notification of how many items are on you list shown at the top right of the Shopper icon on its home screen. This is very useful, especially for a forgetful person like me. Great idea guys. I'm pleased with what's been done thus far, though i do have a few requests/suggestions for future versions. 1) I'd like to have an option to create different lists. Somethings are immediate, others i may need when i go to a certain store, or for a specific project. This would be a great feature. 2) It would be nice to have a built in way to add amounts of stuff, without me having to type it in all the time. Just to make things a little bit quicker. 3) Even though i can add anything i want to the database, i don't want to have to do that. I'd love it if more basic items were added for us. 4) I'd love if there were a repository of pictures that i could spruce up some of the categories with.Thanks for a great starting product, it makes me look forward to updates even more. Great Shopping App I really enjoy this app - it's pretty straight-forward to use. The notes feature allows me to type in the price paid, to remind me what at paid at one store vs. another. It's easy to add new items to your list, or manually add an item you purchase regularly but isnt in the delivered listing of food items. Hits the sweet spot on features. Neither skimpy nor bloated, this app does the job with virtually no learning curve. If you know what you want, type it in with help from the auto-complete. If you can't remember what you need, read through the categories aloud to the others in your household, checking items as you go. The ability to group items on the list is a very nice touch: no more running back and forth from one section of the store to another. By Far the Best This is by far the best Shopping App on here. And it is constantly being improved by the developers. I love the ability to track amounts both in quantity and price, and it automatically calculates the tax, so I can see how much my total will be before I even get up to the register. Since it automatically sorts items by category, it will even improve your time going through the store. Multiple Lists require Independent Aisles Grocery stores Albertsons, Ralphs & Pavilions (Vons, Safeway) have similar aisles but in various locations and the aisles are NUMBERED differently. eg: Baby Diaper Wipes might be on Aisle 2 in Albertsons, Aisle 17 in Ralphs. One review of SHOPPER commented on having coupons and being able to go directly to the specific aisle for the product; you cannot utilize that CONCEPT as is, now.Feature Needed:---{Location Field} per aisle; independently, manually-sorted (only need to do once per store); alpha-numberic. eg: Vegetable/Produce (west entry wall); Baby Wipes (Aisle #2).Do not necessarily need all the built-in search items in each list unless specifically transferred (during list creation or user option). eg: Home Depot has no need for any Produce. Closest to perfect that you can get... I love to be organized and I am super visual. This app is not messy to look at but is highly detailed. It is easy to use and doesn't require 15 steps to get detail. Now, I had some problems after I bought the app with emailing it to myself to have a back up list just in case (something I wish I had had after buying at least 4 other shopping apps). I emailed the Shopper support and not only did he get back to me within the hour, we emailed back and forth 5 or 6 times throughout the day as he worked on fixing MY problem. MY problem!!! MY specific problem! Then when the problem was fixed, he emailed me with the update! I have been beyond impressed with this experience. He was never condescending or impatient. After the problem was fixed, and it was, I had an idea to make the app better for me which included adding a pricing and quantities!! And guess what?? He was already in the process of adding it!!! He even sent me a sample pic of what it looked like so far! I can't wait for that update!!!The only other idea I had was to be able to toggle back and forth between a "list" of all the items you ever shop for and a "go shopping" list that you can make from your "list".... Even without that, this is THE best shopping list out there! And I am positive that it will continue to evolve as great ideas are presented!! VERY Nice Shopping App! I have used SplashShopper for years, and have also purchased the iPhone version of that. But I was sufficiently intrigued by Shopper that I purchased it, too. Each has its strengths and weaknesses, and I am still trying to decide which I prefer. But I do think that that this app already deserves 5 stars.Strengths: (1) The app is very clean, fast, and intuitive. (2) Adding an item for a specific shopping trip is extremely easy and carefully designed so that the program quickly allows the user to pick from a pre-existing drop-down pick list OR create a new item--all from the same screen. (3) Once an item has been added, the screen remains ready to accept input for the next item; this means that entering items for any given shopping trip is very, very fast. (4) The user can very easily arrange the order of Categories in the proper order for walking through the store. These features demonstrate that the programmer has given a great deal of thought to ease of use.I wrote a note to the developer with a comment and a question, and heard back from him immediately. He is very open to suggestions and willing to discuss them.
