WifiTrak helps you find FREE and open WiFi hotspots and public access points quickly and easily.
WifiTrak scans for all available WiFi devices and networks in the area and tests each network it finds for usability. Great app!! Better than wifinder If u liked wifinder than you'll love this app!! I especially love the autoconnect feature and it will play a sound when connected. This app is great because it picks up networks that i never knew were in my neighborhood before. When i use the built in wifinder in settings all i find is my home network. I can connect too my neighbors from my house now with this great app!!

Perfect for my needs I have to say that this app rocks, and does what the rest of em I've tried don't do. This is the first one i've found that actually lets you connect to the network right from the app. Even better, i can set it to open a specific url and it will automatically find an open network, connect to it, open safari and open the website I have specified, and all I had to do was open the app. Perfect, cuz lots of times Im out and about and need to quickly find and connect to a wifi network. Best for iPod Touch because we don't have the option of edge or 3g. By the way, people really need to stop complaining about not being able to connect to password protected networks from this app. Thats obviously not what this app was made to do. hence the name for part of the title says "find free wifi" in other words, open networks. If you already know the password, it means that you already know where the network is (your not searching for new ones) and if thats the case, you should be opening up settings/wifi to type in the password, which you can use to automatically connect to when you are close to that network....... some people. Anyways, amazing app, I have now finished my search for this kind of app.

Don't get it I dont really get the purpose of this kind of application since the iphone already has a wifi finder installed. I downloaded this one and it doesn't do anything different from the preloaded one.

Finally a more professional wifi tracker! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been waiting for this. I really like all of the feature and the app seems nicely finished. I did notice a small problem with the interface locking up for a couple of seconds every now and then when I automatic scanning on. Ive been waiting for an app like this.... Works great..had no idea that there were so many WiFi connections around my area. (shame there all locked down) Great app works great!! works good....butttttt this app works pretty good, but they need to change something, you guys need to make is so we can type the WEP passwords so that way we get a secure login otherwise I just wasted .99 on this thing. so if you can than thank you.

Not worth the $0.99 It does show the networks around you. However, it fails to connect to any of the open networks, if it does connect to a network (rarely) safari and email will not work, and it is a very slow app that hangs frequently. Great and Easy to Use This is my first App Store Wi-Fi networks detection/connection application and probably the last one. Works perfectly without any snags. The only, very minor suggestion consist of marking differently the networks which settings are already included into particular iPhone, certainly assuming feasible and not complicated from the software development point of view. Mostly useless Doh! I want my money back! This app assumes that just because a network is closed that I might not want to connect to it. What if I already know the password? Or if I want to guess it? Works Great! This app was what I was looking for. It lets you know which Wifi networks are open (Green Icon), signals you by the sound you select and allows you to connect from the app it self. Exactly what I needed! I love my iPod Touch, but found the Wi-Fi settings utility lacking in functionality.
