Smart idea, and well worth the price.   This app is worth it. Period. The author was wise to make the price reasonable - perhaps more will buy it and learn. I could see updates adding more info, and I'd gladly pay for them.
It's nice to scan the Contitution and muse on the wonder of free speech, even got those who post inane and politically slanderous reviews.
Kudos to the application's author. - Manual for the United States of America review by Thog
If Only Everyone Had These   These are all very important documents and everyone should read and think about them at least once (if not regularly). I understand the inclusion of the Patriot Act as well as most people have no idea what it entails and it's impact on our country is great. I look forward to expansions and additions to this valuable app. - Manual for the United States of America review by TrueToRights
Excellent Civic Minded and Patriotic Application   An excellent program that gathers and presents many of the basic documents of our system of government — and for a nominal proce.I have some suggestions, but they are not serious enough to deduct a star. There should be images of the Consitution and the Bill of Rights, as there are for the Declaration of Independence. I question the selection of the Patriot Act because some of its provisions have eroded our freedom. - Manual for the United States of America review by Eugene Pagano
Great App.   Documents and other info a great help. Nice compact grouping for students of history and civics. Presidents & States listings super! - Manual for the United States of America review by Père Noël
Forgets position   Enough said. If you exit the application, go to a different document, or even switch to the Notes section in a document, it forgets where you were in that document. This makes the application useless for actually reading the documents. It would also be nice if fonts other than the default were available. - Manual for the United States of America review by comexk
Great App   Well worth the dollar. Anyone that wants to know more about America should download this. It has many significant documents that everyone should read. This developer has some free apps as well, so you know what your getting and that a lot of time and effort went into this. - Manual for the United States of America review by Joe4242
Great resource   It's nice to see am app with useful information on the app store. :) - Manual for the United States of America review by DownloadsBeforeReviews
Incredibly useful for my civics course   Essential tool for anyone with a genuine interest in American history. Thank you! - Manual for the United States of America review by bobleponge
A Great Resource for Students and Educators alike!   This app has an excellent collection of primary source material related to the Framing of the American Republic; I highly recommend it to students of American government or American political theory as well as to instructors in these areas. It is especially nice to have immediate access to the entire Federalist Papers. Concerning possibilities for future updates, perhaps some selections from the writings of the Anti-Federalists, early State and colonial constitutions/charters, Magna Carta, Mayflower Compact, Fundamental Orders of Connecticut, important early Supreme Court decisions (e.g. Marbury, McCulloch, Gibons v. Ogden, etc.), and other important documents from the late 18th/early 19th century of American history (e.g. the opinions of Hamilton and Jefferson on the Bank, Washington's Neutrality Proclamation, etc.) For what it is worth, the app could do without the UN Charter as that institution has little, if anything, to do with understanding the history and practice of American politics. - Manual for the United States of America review by A Maryland Farmer
Great Collection   Excellent collection of documents that say who we are and what we stand for (or did). I think even the patriot act belongs here. It is kind of like the "you are here" arrow on the map of our time right now. It's juxtaposition against the others shows the true greatness of the founding documents. - Manual for the United States of America review by Turbo Elf
Nice for the price...   It's just nice to have all this information handy at a moments notice, so it's well worth a buck to me. I would like to be able to zoom in closer to the Declaration of Independence and the text in the list of states and presidents could do to be a point size or two larger, but otherwise not much to complain about. - Manual for the United States of America review by Railrider
Awesome!   Great package here of many important documents. Even though I am not fond of the patriot act, it allows me to see and prove how it is eroding our rights. Is there any chance for some Anti-Fed papers? I remember doing them in school, and would like to see some. A review of major/landmark supreme court cases would be great as well! A timeline of US history would be interesting, but I only say that because of how bad I am with dates. - Manual for the United States of America review by nick.jeschke
Great   This is great, especially in an election year to keep people honest.
One feature request is a search within documents. - Manual for the United States of America review by KiteLover
So much for so little!   I LOVE the USA manual. It's so detailed, and very well put together. I was never much of a history buff but this thing really has it all. I really love the new updates to the states and the presidents. This is an awesome app; definitely worth the .99! Keep up the great work! - Manual for the United States of America review by Fayde
Good compilation   Everyone should be familiar with these important documents. Well worth the price of a soda. - Manual for the United States of America review by arthur.elmes
Essential!   A tiny little folio of the US documents - and state caps, too! With the US presidential election weeks away, I like having the original texts at hand! Thanks! (from a lifelong democrat) - Manual for the United States of America review by wboucek
Gold for a heck of a lot less!   I don't like to throw away money even on "cheap 99 cent apps." and I've never even reviewed an app. If you are interested in US history or it's govt, this app is a must have. I was pleasantly suprised with the plethora of info in this.
For this who don't like the inclusion of the Patriot Act, tough...it's a important juncture in US history.
Maybe a few minor critiques:
many documents are quite lengthy (Fed Papers) a way to search would be helpful. Also Andrew Jackson was an Army General (very significant)
Keep up the great work! - Manual for the United States of America review by SomeAdam
Excellent   Great reference of documents. It helps me a lot with the AP US History class im taking. - Manual for the United States of America review by Juan Roa
