Limited Functionality - Missed a major feature Let me say that I really like this application and have installed it on my iPhone however, I feel that the developer missed a major feature. When I am searching for a job I want to apply for the job and not e-mail the job to myself to apply to later. Nice way to hunt for a new career It is amazing how many great jobs you can find when you are stuck having your car worked on, waiting on a food order or waiting to pick someone up.

Easy to use and works well Chances are if you have an Iphone or Touch, you probably don't need a job, but if you're looking for a job, this is actually a viable way to look for one. Simply Geolocate yourself or type in your location and what job conditions you have (Part time, full, etc.) and you'll quickly be shown a list of jobs near you (sometimes they aren't close to you, but whatever :P). Missing Feature No ability to utilize careerbuilder.com profile. This means that online saved jobs and job queries are not available on this version. Useless Not tied to a CareerBuilder account, so you can't apply to the jobs listed. Seems to want to let you email yourself an application link, but when you try to do that, it directs you to a settings page to set your email and there is no settings page! How cool! There are a few things this app could improve upon. I wish there were more controls for the search feature, such as the ability to store past searches. Also, after I email myself a bunch of jobs, I'd like an option to delete the entire list at once; at the moment you have to delete each entry manually or else all new items will be added to the existing list, which means you will mail those same jobs to yourself again along wth the new ones you've added. Would also prefer the search field to be blank each time I open the app, as deleting is a time-waster. Lastly, the Geolocate Me feature doesn't work, even when location features work in my other apps. When I use Geolocate I get jobs from across the country. Consistently crashes Ok, it's free BUT it's also the application that gives me the most headaches. Every time I clock to read the job description, or want to read the requirements, the app crashes. EVERY single time! EVERY job I try. 100 percent failure rate on such basic and important app functionality leads me to believe that there was NO QA done on this app. Yeah it's free, but Career Builder should be ashamed that they let something like this be released. Few options for filtering search options The program only filters jobs by keyword and location. Unfortunately, it searches for jobs that are without, I don't know, about 30 miles of your location? This makes the results useless as you are flooded with irrelevant postings. The program would be much more useful if it had several filters to allow you to narrow your search. Can't recommend it. Great idea but really just an electronic newspaper classified I commend Career Builder for bringing this kind of application to smart phones. The iPhone version offers just about the same thing as their "full featured" web browser version. Very limited search criteria: a broad job title and location. It lacks the category search (but arguably, that's fairly useless) and it lacks the advanced search (also fairly useless since it only allows you to add a degree and type of employment differentiation [e.g., full time, part time]). So, what you get back is lots of unqualifed jobs to wade through, which is really no advance over newspaper classifieds from 100 years ago. For my money, I want to put in a zip code (I only want to see jobs close to where I live or where I intend to move to) a salary range (I only want to see employers who have REAL jobs and know what competitive salaries are) and real companies that I can research and I.D. the decision maker. I don't want to see education ads that are masquerading as job listings or work-at-home schemes or other non-jobs. I would be far more impressed if these career sites actually used the power of computers to sift through the McJobs and I.D. a half dozen real jobs that would be worth spending an evening researching and creating a thoughtful application for. - Jobs review by PrimeTimeDJ
