good old days
I’m not Muslim, I’m Catholic I downloaded and tried out version 2.0 on July 18, 2008. I downloaded this app for a few reasons, never seen a Quran before, it is something international (I love international things), I thought it would be cool to show some Indian and Arabic co-workers (I don’t know if they are Muslim but they probably know a bit more about the book than I do), and it was free. First off, this App looks BEAUTIFUL. Developers should download it just to see the design of it. Whoever made it put a lot of work into the design. For me it is a keeper (not that I’ll use it because I don’t have the slightest clue how to use it) because I am going to take “Intro to Great World Religions” next semester and it will be interesting to see what learn about Islam. Also, maybe one day I might take a class of Arabic (since I am a Language student). In Spanish we say the word “Ojalá” which means (I hope so) it came from Arabic in the old days when the Arabs (The Moors) ruled Spain. It is like “ Praise Ala” or in English “God willing.” Well ojalá (I hope) that the Pro version is not ridiculous priced for all those that are waiting for it and good luck in the long hard translation process into all those other languages. - iQuran Lite review by Asiago

Ignorant Christians As a Christian I would like to apologize to the Muslims on here. Somebody actually wrote that this is a book of war. No more so than the Bible. It's when great texts are taken and perverted by people who are obsessed with power, that they lose their ability to inspire love. It's incredible the similarities of the base philosophies. Wonderful application This is an amazing application, that allows Muslims to both be able to read the Quran on their iphones as well as listen to it. It would be great if the company releasing it would include the English translation in this application for free, as some of us don't know Arabic, yet we would still like to get the meaning of the Book. Other than that, it is exactly what we were waiting for on the iPhone. Using iTunes to Promote Hatred Towards Muslims is Hateful and Just Stupid! I'm Catholic, and if you look into the history of the Catholic Church you see things like The Crusades and The Spanish Inquisition, where the Church used the Bible as an excuse to (often violently) convert unwilling people to Catholicism. But, do you see people spreading hatred of the Catholic Church in the ratings of the various Bible apps here on iTunes? Hardly! As in any religion or ethnic group, there will be some people who put the majority of their group in a bad light merely because of their misguided actions. To even imply that all Muslims condone violence or to say that the teachings of their prophet Mohammed promote violence and killing is an insult not just to the people who practice the Muslim religion, but to people of intelligence everywhere. On top of that, to use reviews in the iTunes Store to expose your stupidity and bigotry is just wrong... get yourself a blog somewhere and post your shortsighted comments where you and your bigoted friends can revel in your lack of intelligence.As for me. I downloaded iQuran because, like many others, I wanted to expose myself to the teachings of another religion. I have known many Muslims during my life, and I have found them to be warm, caring people... not once did I think they were hiding a sword or dagger behind their back. I personally think that if more people took the time to learn about other religions rather than just "assume" things about them that the world would be better off. A strictly technical (but SERIOUS) complaint This app *does* look BEAUTIFUL, and whatnot. And I was looking forward to finally reading the KO-RAN from the comfort of my I-FONE. However, it doesn't come with a full translation, and it doesn't come with any of the surahs except the first one. Which would be fine, except (and I've tried this three times now), after running the "Download All Surahs" feature, backing up or syncing my iPhone (a 3G restored yesterday) hangs indefinitely. When I remove the app, it runs fine. When I install the app and don't download any content, it runs fine. So... Check out this beautiful app! Great design and audio I love this app I always wanted to read the Quran fully after converted and I would always find really no time read it and now with this mobile app I can now just read on my free time on the go and learn how say the Arabic word from the audio speaker really cool and it's free pls make make all translators free also. Best iPhone App I hope app store adds a "flag" feature for people who write a review for the sake of writing something hateful about any religion, person, etc.
That said, this app is awesome for memorizing the Holy Quran. Option let's you repeat an Ayat up to 5 times. You can simultaneously listen,read Arabic, and read English as each Ayat is highlighted as it is recited.
