Notespark syncs with a web app, not a desktop app, so that you don't need to remember to sync before leaving the house. Everything happens automatically. As you switch back and forth between the web and your device, the same notes will always be available no matter where you are.
If you use more than one device, like an iPad and an iPhone, your notes will still stay perfectly in sync via your Notespark web account. If you edit the same note in multiple places, Notespark will merge the changes automatically. If it can’t, it’ll let you choose how to resolve any conflict without losing any information. When you share a note through Notespark, everyone sees the same text, and anyone can update it (if you let them). If two people make changes to the same note at the same time, Notespark’s fast and robust synchronization engine can merge the changes as easily as it handles changes made on multiple devices.
Share notes with a spouse, friend or coworker to keep track of things together (grocery lists, favorite restaurants, project notes). You can even share with people who don't have iPhones by having them use the web version of Notespark. When someone makes a change to a shared note, you are notified immediately through push notifications.

Really useful solution. I've been looking for a notes application that would allow me to move the information on and off my iPhone. This is an elegant solution to that issue. It doesn't just allow you to manage notes, you can compose new ones and edit existing ones on the iPhone, sync them, and have access from any web browser. It's also the first application I've found that made moving memos from my Palm to my iPhone absolutely painless. My stuff is accessable from the web and I can set notes so they can be shared with others. And your information is password protected too. Just great.

some problems I bought the app for $5. It is the first thing I bought from the app store. It was a complete failure. I tried for two days to set-up an account. The guys at Metaspark contacted me and walked me through it. Can you believe that? For $5 they were right there for me. Though I'm sort of one of those old guys, I'm fairly tech savvy, but I needed help and they were on the spot. I would give the app four stars and Metaspark another making 5 stars.L

No longer tied to my Palm I have been waiting for an app. that would free me from my Palm TX with its nearly 400 Memos. Notespark does the job. I easily imported all my Memos and even retained the Catagories, now Tags in Notespark. Thanks for a great app.

Better than Palm MEMO I got this because I've had Palm TX for years and 104 notes that I didn't want to cut-n-paste over to the iPod Touch. The thing that has always driven me nuts with the PALM is if you would edit a MEMO on the PALM and on the PC then when you sync it will create 2 MEMO's. Notespark puts PALM to shame in that if you edit a MEMO on the iPod Touch AND on the web application then Notespark asks you how to INTELLIGENTLY merge the 2 rather than just creating 2 MEMO's which PALM would always do. I love notespark. If I only had "address spark" to move my address from PALM I would be really really happy.

Almost Perfect This app is so compelling. I went to their site and within minutes I was creating all types of notes. I love how tagging organizes your notes. I love how starring makes your top notes super easy to access. The design is great and the search feature rocks! I can't wait to see what updates will bring because this app as it stands right now is almost perfect.

The Best Note App ! (especially for old Palm users !) I finally can import memos from my palm to my ipod touch and sync them to a server without difficulty. The other great things about this app: 1. Can create a note on the server and/or on the ipod2. Can edit on the server and/or ipod3. Can tag4. Can search 5. exceeding my expectations I am so pleasantly surprised with this application, and give this app 5 full stars. Its seamless, so solid, and works so nicely on web and iphone interfaces just the way palm SHOULD have done it in the first place. I am finally able to ditch my old palm completely, and am able to bring 9 years of priceless memos with me into the 21st century with this! I like the google-style search functionality too. Glad to support this app. I'm a physician. I don't work for these guys.

Best Note App So Far I have several note apps on my iPhone. This is the best so far. It is easy to take notes and it syncs with an on-line version. I use the on-line verson while at wor (leave it open on my computer desktop) and those notes are on my iPhone when I leave my work computer. I can also access them via Internet on my home computer. The tags and search functions make it easy to find notes. The fact that the app is not dependent on an Internet connection to view already-synced notes makes it superior to those that require an Internet connection to use the app. Now... if I could just combine this with some sort of post-it style interface, I'd be the happiest camper on the planet!

LOVE it! Just moved from my PalmPilot to and iPhone, but could not before now get my old Notes to sync. For 5 bucks, this program was able to import ALL my notes from Palm (via Outlook Notes) to my iPhone! Absolutely simple and worth every penny. Imported perfectly without errors. A MUST HAVE for anyone who has info in Outlook Notes and wants to convert them to iPhone!

Notespark works well, imports Palm files seamlessly I have been searching for a method to download a huge file of memos from my Palm (which just crashed and burned) to my iPhone. I was carrying around both the Palm and the iPhone while searching for the right app. Notespark is amazing. The download feature automatically transfers your Palm memos directly into Notespark notes without the need to reformat. This saved me a tremendous amount of time. It even got all the categories correct the first time around. Easy to set up and use. I like that the interface is web-based, so I can access it from any computer and it synchs with the phone similar to push email or push calendar. The ability to use more than one tag for each note is also very helpful. The search function works well. A very nicely engineered app.

Thumbs up! A notes app that rocks Imagine an intuitive, simple, but can-do app that solves a critical need...notes or memos that can be accessed anytime, anywhere. For the past 6 months, I've searched, tried a dozen apps, and given up on finding an app that would let me access my notes while I'm on a plane 30,000 miles high or riding a subway or sitting in front of my office computer. My frustration was shared by dozens, make that thousands of iPhone users. I was not alone in my quest...and doubt about switching to the iPhone after reading post after post asking for a solution, trying work arounds that didn't really work, and voting on this basic capability on pleasedixtheiphone.com.
A few days ago, I stumbled across a review on AppCraver.com about Note*spark. It's the killer app as far as I am concerned (after Maps and Shazam).
I've easily cut and pasted more than 120 notes from Outlook. Tagging was a breeze. Editing offline and online was simply easy that I was able to focus on the content, rather than the user interface.
I have yet to try the sharing feature, but sounds great. There is an FAQ, but I haven't used it yet.
One suggestion is to add a search function online.

UPDATED for v1.1 - NOW it's perfect! I earlier dinged the Notespark crew for not implementing landscape typing in the 1.0 version of this app - the development team not only listened, but also personally wrote me and others to say they read and welcomed the feedback and were working on putting landscape typing into the v1.1 update. Attentive developers listening to their customers to produce an outstanding application. All of the other features that everyone raves about here do work very well (sync, tagging, sharing, etc.). They've also tightened up the user interface for both the iPhone application AND the web interface. Notespark is a joy to use because it does what it says, and it has displaced Text Guru as my everyday text editor on my iPod touch. My search for the best note app is finally over! Notespark is the best App for notes that I’ve been able to find. I have tried many free apps and several that I have paid for and this is one works the best and is the one I have decided to use. I was excited to find out I could load my notes from my old Palm. I hadn’t found one that would work. When I first tried it I was very disappointed and upset because it did not work. However with a couple of emails back and forth they quickly got it to work. Like Gmail ... over the air ... for notes! This app delivers what Apple failed to deliver* -- note synchronization with the web and phone. This is an EXCELLENT notes app! My notes are synced flawlessly to the website and back to my iPhone just as fast as I can type them.I created accounts for my family on the website to be able to edit notes and make lists that show up on my phone.This syncing has come in handy numerous times. Exactly what I was looking for I was looking for something that would allow me to easily swap small notes between the desktop and the iPhone. Well FINALLY... A solid notes program with auto-sync. Just what I needed. Setup was fast and easy. I have already moved everything from the YouNote app, which was just not stable and no easy web access, to NoteSpark in no time. Thanks much!

Awsome This app is great for those of us on a corporate network that does not allow a synch with the corporate email server due to security issues, but live off notes. Shame iPhone doesn't allow synch to notes. I was sweating it out till I found this app! This saved me a TON of tetyping and manual synchronization! Luv it.
