Never use the default notes app again! As you can see from the reviews, MagicPad is the ultimate Notes replacement.
MagicPad delivers the form & function you've been waiting for to the iPhone! Don't retype information from one note to another, simply highlight the text and paste it anywhere you choose.
Change fonts, colors, and more with powerful rich-text editing powers never before experienced on the iPhone. MagicPad transforms your monotone notes into customized and presentation-ready documents.
Features:
- Copy, Cut & Paste: easily move text within a note or to a brand new note
- Rich-Text Editing: customize text with 6 different fonts, 5 sizes, 8 colors, and 4 effects
- Email: send your rich-text creations to yourself or share with friends
**Please note that these features only work within the MagicPad application, due to limitations outside of our control. 2008 Proximi, Inc.

This will only work with notes.   It's important that expectations be properly set here. This app right now is ONLY a surrogate for Apple's Notes app with the ability to cut and paste. that's it. if you want to e-mail the notes out, then that's another plus but it is not through your e-mail account and its not secure. Don;t expect to be able to cut nd past from one program/app to another.

DO NOY BUY   Waste of money the only reason why I bought it was to be able to email the notes but you can't do it without having to send it through a proxy server RED FLAG FOR NON SECURITY.
Unless untill this app allowes us to email from our account, this remains a useless app. This company just wants to promote itself when you send a note.
DO NOT BUY UNTILL THIS IS FIXED PLEASE
I give this app:
0 stars for security
0 stars for email ability
5 for design and navigation
5 for price
But overall until it's fixed 1 star

Cannot manipulate text outside of program   The program does exactly what it says, but if you're looking to be able to cut and past amongst programs, mail, or anything other than this program, you're out of luck. Apple needs to buy this app and make it function throughout the iPhone.

Great Program   This is a fantastic program love the features, and it seams to work well.I only have 3 request1. Make the keyboard rotate. There is another program that has this feature implemented, and my typing accuracy is up by 80%2. Have the option to create categories for the notes3. Have the main screen font size adjustable4. Make it so that whatever change is made to the font settings they remain when you close the applicationMy two cents.

Suggestions   I just bought this app and LOVE it, but there are still a bunch of things needed for this app. For one it needs an option in the settings on the iPhone to turn on auto correction. Right now there is no auto correction that I can see. Another thing needed is the option to to rearrange your notes. We need an option for manual, by date or by alphabetical order. I tried sending some thing to mail and it asked me for all of this annoying information like "to" or "from" and "captcha" can't we just have it send the message to mail like it would if we sent a link from Safari or something. Thanks for listening

Not Bad; At Least Proximi Is Taking the Initiative   MagicPad provides to the iPhone the most important piece of software that Apple has (for some reason) decided not yet to offer on their own: a copy-and-paste function. The MagicPad implementation is sort of a band-aid approach to the problem, but at least it works! I give them extra credit for initiative. The best implementation would be an app that provides copy-and-paste to the iPhone's normal typing function.

Future of the iPhone?   It's been rumored that Apple has been looking for the best way to implement copy & paste functions, we may have just seen a glimpse of the future. Copy & paste functions are so smooth in this app, they seem native. In addition to the afore mentioned function, the font and rich text capabilities are sweet. I would like to see the ability to import eMails and web pages from the phone so I can copy from them, that would hold me till Apple implements the feature. I would also like to be able to export to mail so I can send from my server and not through the default. But otherwise well done!

One giagntic oversight away from a better review   This app does not use apples keyboard recognition add it and I will use this over the standard app otherwise it's even more useless than the built in note program.

Good Text-Selection Proof of Concept, Mediocre Notes Application   The text-selection was surprisingly easier to use than I imagined, but as a note-taking application, it's not amazing.

Needs Improvement   This app has the copy and paste thing down, but there are a couple of things that I think need to be changed/added.
1: The app needs to have the autocorrect function on it. Without that, it takes much longer to type a note.
2: The way you mail notes needs to be through the mail program on the device. It is too time consuming to enter in the security word and all that.
All in all, a pretty good app, but there is still room for improvement.

Save Your Money   This is a total waste of money..albeit a small theft. I have yet to be able to successfully send an email.....and the lack of spell checking makes this app far inferior and less workable than the free Notes that comes with the phone. If I hadn't already wasted enough time on this trash, I'd contact the developer and demand a refund!

One of the Best Apps Yet   Magic Pad is awesome. I saw it on the Washington Post's website and I had to have it.This app allows users to copy and paste, use strike through, and change color and font size within your notes :)It's a little pricey at $4.00 but well worth it. Finally copy and paste has come to the iPhone.

Much better (Oct 2 2008)   The emailing feature of the previous version was retarded. You had to jump thru what felt like all kinds of hoops to get something emailed. There was a lot of legal stuff there to read and all of this combined, had me never using it. This update is great. The app is much more useful and simple. With this upgrade, I feel like I didn't waste my money.
I don't know if it's possible, but if there was a way to import text from other notes programs like apple notes or shape writer into this app to copy and paste, it would up its handiness and value big time. - Just an idea.
Great work, thanks!

Could Have Been a Contender   Great concept, poor execution. The cut & paste feature is great, and so is the font size & color option. But this app is TERRIBLE for typing (which is not good for a notepad application). Magic Pad doesn't include any of the basic features found in any app where a keyboard is involved. There is no auto-correction (very annoying), the caps lock doesn't stay locked (it turns blue with double tap, but then turns off after typing one letter), the keyboard doesn't default back to alpha after typing common ".?123" symbols (like an apostrophe). Also certain features are buggy (like holding the backspace).
Don't bother writing to the developers. They don't respond to questions, comments, concerns, suggestions or even compliments.
I know a lot of people are asking for the landscape keyboard, but I swear, if they just made this typing app follow the common rules of all keyboard-containing applications (or at least responded to customer inquiries to let us know that they are working on it), this reviewer would be awarding 5-Stars.

Pretty good little app   I bought this app mainly for the rich text capabilities which work great. I am more of a visual person and like to enlarge and colorize text. The only big drawback is not having the use of the spellchecker/dictionary which according to their site’s FAQ’s they are working on and for the price of it, I do hope they follow through. I suggest for anyone interested to check the company’s site and read the FAQ’s (if provided) for any app you want to buy. On Magicpad’s site, they explain why they don’t use they go through their own server for emails and why they can’t copy/paste between apps. Overall, good app, I would drop it $1 in price until the get the spellchecker/dictionary implemented.

Great App!   this app is great but i have not figured out how to make it do what i want it 2 do!. i wanted to be able to copy and paste text messages to emails, emails to text messages, text messages to a blog and so on. the app was not straight forward enough for me to figure out how to do that and it MIGHT NOT EVEN BE CAPABLE of that. If any1 knows please reply to this comment. thanks! otherwise this app was a waste of time and money!
