Wonderful I love the fact that it notified you of incompleted tasks on the home screen. That's a major selling point for me. Adding to dos via voice memos is also quite handy.

Wonderful almost perfect ! This app is great, three things added would make it fantastic and worth at least every penny of $5.
1) Add ability to change/edit/erase items on dashboard as not everything is needed by everyone and to many things can be confusing.
2) Add the ability to add time to the day for when someone wants to add a appointment reminder and possibility of a alarm warning the user can set prior to appointment due time that would be visible from any iPhone screen even when ultimate todo app is not running.
3) Make the information exchageble with iPhone/Mac calendar and outlook calendar.

Omg! This is seriously the best todo app in the app store.
It is extremelly useful for keeping my school work and other things todo organized. Tags and contexts are very useful to categorize the work I have to do.
tl;dr: get it while it's free, or buy. It's definately worth it.

Almost There - Here are a Few Suggestions - Please consider I just switched back to Appigo Todo, because there update was incredible. The one thing that they do not have is the ability to attached voice notes. I think if you could add the ability to attach a picture and match what they have I think that Ultimate Todo would be the best. I love Ultimate Todo and I highly recommend this App, it's just Todo has really risen above the bar and delivered an incredible update.Best of Luck, PatrickI really like this App.... Update- Nice! Ok, so I've tried many To Do/Task apps and after the most recent upgrade- this is getting close to being just right where it does everything I need.
Pros:
Muliple Tags, contexts, & projects
Enough fields and room for everything you need
Status (can't believe so many apps don't allow for this- many simply have open and completed
Voice notes (when it pops into the head (someone or something has to remember it)
Dashboard showing what you need to know at a glance
Badges so I can see number of to dos without opening app
Cons:
Can't select sort order of items in a list (at minimum it should be sorted by due date, with no date at the end- appears to almost be random now
You have to go to a list to search (should be able to search from anywhere (including the dashboard))
SMS reminders are receiver 1-2 hours before due time- why?
In some ares, too many key strokes are required
Few other things (good and bad) but bottom line is it works well and helps me get things done!

Good app for general GTD principles Well worth the current $1 price. Very usable implementation of tags and contexts, easy to add to New tasks and easy to access later or sort your tasks based on either of them. I wanted an app that was simple, well organized and easy to use quickly, this app does that.

already perfect, but I need manual sort please just allow me to sort todos under the same project manually, neither chronigically nor alphabetically. I want to sort things out to see how can I get it done without forgetting things to do before. Surely It is easier than putting time differ in it just to get this. Anyway you're already had my 5-stars! thanks

Great for college students Compared to Appigo's Todo and the popular Mac oriented Things, I think Ultimate Todos is way too underrated. I got this app the first month it came out and have seen how fast the designers responded to problems, and the big improvements each update has brought. The app syncs nicely with Toodledo, and I've never had crashes with this app. Thanks to it, I have my college life organized.

A Steal Excellent for (current) price. Two requests would, if fulfilled, up my review to five stars:1. I don't need (or care for) the little iconic tags (I know this is a matter of personal tastes: some people say the opposite). I prefer COLORS: with little buttons, or color the text itself. (I teach at several schools, and each school has its color.)2. My Todos consist primarily of similar tasks done on a repetitive basis: same time, repeating days, different content (i.e., I need brief notes about the content of the next class). It would be good to create a special class of notes that would create "headers"; one would then simply change the detailed content. One could also leave off the check box (since the text is never "finished").Still, fine job, esp. for the price.

Really nice UI, but Toodledo synchronization is crippled There are so many to-do related products available, it took me a while to finally decide upon Ultimate Todos. I knew I wanted to buy an app that synched with a service (for back-up purposes mostly but also so I could add tasks from my laptop), so I started by checking out the services first. After deciding that Toodledo seems to have the most flexible feature set, I set out to find the best iPhone app that works with Toodledo. I researched three -- Toodledo's own native iPhone app, Appigo's Todo app, and this one (the UT app). After way too much time debating, I chose this one for few key reasons: (1) it appeared to me to have the most pleasing UI design (fonts, icons, good flow, well laid out, etc.), (2) it didn't try to "force" the user into using Toodledo's Folder feature as the primary organizational paradigm (the way Appigo's Todo app does), and (3) it made the use of Tags and Contexts be central and fun with the assignment and use of well designed icons.I started playing with it, and all seemed OK until I tried to synch with Toodledo. Ouch. I found a few problems, including what appears to be a couple fundamental design inconsistencies between the UT app and the Toodledo service that seem like they may be difficult to rectify:1. A task I created with the Toodledo web app with a Tag assigned showed up on the iPhone but without any Tag2. An item created on the iPhone and assigned two Contexts there showed up in the Toodledo web app as having only the first Context3. An item created on the iPhone with a Tag showed up in the Toodledo web app without a "real" Tag BUT there was a Toodledo -Folder- created with the name of the Tag4. An item created on the iPhone with two tags caused two Folders to be created in the Toodledo web app, but the item did not appear in the second Folder5. An item created on the iPhone with no context and edited within the Toodledo web app to add a context showed up without a Context on the iPhone after synchingUnfortunately, I think the problems may be hard to rectify without some key changes. The root of the issue appears to be that Ultimate Todos is mapping Tags in the iPhone app to Folders on the service side. This is troublesome because Toododo does not allow a task to be in more than one Folder. And of course you need to able to apply multiple tags to an item. Also, it appears the Toodledo service only allows a task to appear in one Context. While I agree that this seems to be a poor design decision on their part (I'd really like to have the ability to put a task in multiple Contexts), this limitation does cause a major problem for the UT app's ability to synchronize properly.So, while I still think the UT app has the best UI, if you want to use Contexts and/or Tags and be able to synchronize with, and create and edit tasks on, the Toodledo's web service, you probably will not be able to use this app as-is. I really hope the folks at MMDESOFT can figure this one out and fix it so that I can go back to using this app.One final nit that echoes another reviewer comment: having both a "read-only" (i.e., initial Task Details) screen and an editable (i.e., second Task Details) screen doesn't seem necessary. It adds wasted finger-strokes by requiring the user to Click on "Edit" AND (much more annoying) requiring the user to remember to click on the "Save" button when coming back out of changing an attribute. My two-cents on this for the MMDESOFT UI designer: having to click on "Save" here is unnecessary from a UI flow perspective -- when something is changed by the user, it should be "saved" into the task immediately and automatically. I really like the look of the initial Task Details screen; I think it would be relatively simple to eliminate the second (edit) Task Details screen. This could be done by changing the initial Task Details screen: (1) move the star control (and maybe the done-box control to their own line, (2) split the Status and Priority items into two lines, (3) place the ">" controls right there on the initial page, and (4) remove the darn "Edit" button. Can't set time. Why doesn't somebody not only have the due date but also the time it is due? I need it to function like outlook, set the due date and the time it is due. Also when it pops up to have the ability to choose to snooze anywhere from 5min to 5hrs. Sometimes iam busy when the reminder goes off and can't get to the task so it is great to be able to snooze.
Also none of these todo programs actually pop-up and make a sound to remind you.
If you guys could do this I'll bet everyone would buy your program.
If there is no time setting, pop-up and sound to let you know what is the point of all these todo/tasks programs!

The best "to do" app I've taken a look at all the other "to do" apps for the iPhone and this one is very well organized and nice way of keeping track of things. Great but... Comparing to Appigo ToDo:
1.Repeating tasks is a real omission here.
2.characterizing entries as email, text, weburl, or call etc is missing
3.Also, the immediacy of entering an item is a key factor for us busy people...
When needing to enter an item , you must click + then click another time (edit) before entering a todo ...
Sounds too picky I know but once clicking + would love to immediately go to an entry box!

The best of the bunch Like others, I've tried all the other top task manager, GTD apps, including Appigo Todo, OmniFocus, Toodledo, etc. This is the best of breed. The Dashboard is genius, it syncs with Toodledo, and it has tags, contexts, priorities, icons, you name it. Yet, with all the features, it is easy to use. All the other interfaces were annoying to use at some level, whereas this product is complete and designed with the user and the right concepts in mind. I doubt anything will ever replace this program from its position in my iphone dock. Thanks!NOTE: I've updated my review. The developers were eager to listen. With the 1.1 release, this is unquestionably the best todo/task/gtd app for your iphone. If you haven't tried it, do it now. Simply the best UPDATE 2: I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked to the updates tab and saw one for this app that added Toodledo sync. You've gone and done it. In my eyes your the complete package. Every other TODO app has officially been removed from my iPhone. Do you develop any other software? If so, I will certainly check it out!! GREAT JOB, MY #1 APP, and I have over 200.UPDATE: I still think this is hands down the best "TODO" app available. But I must sync with Toodledo, so I am forced to use another app. Please add this capability and I can stop looking for the perfect "TODO" app. Or, if Toodledo adds a few minor improvements, i.e. offers a menu of tags when adding a task vs manually typing in the tag name (cool icons a definite plus, but not a must) then that will be the winner. I'm hoping you get there first. Excellent program After having tried about 7 other ToDo programs, I finally settled on Ultimate ToDos as the best one.I love it's layout and multiple options to present both scheduled and unscheduled todos/tasks. It's use is very intuitive and the flow of the program is very well laid out. It includes tags and contexts. It's button placements are also well laid out (very much appreciated after some frustrations with button placement in some other programs). It's been rock solid without a single hitch so far. This app has allowed me to stop looking for any other todo programs. I'm that satisfied with it.If you haven't tried this program, I strongly recommend giving it a try. Looks great but sync issues I'll update review when sync issues are fixed.
Upon initial sync with Toodledo UT crashes and only downloads about a third of my tasks. Clicking sync again sends a swell of duplicate tasks to toodledo.
Also, since it seems so tightly integrated with Toodledo it ought to allow for multple tags. It says you can use them in help but it might cause problems.
Toodledo lists become tags in this app and therefore you can't use tag feature of Toodledo at all.
If you don't use Toodledo this app may be perfect, but if you do proceed with caution.
