Sonic Boom - Smule
"Smule makes your iPhone go boom" cnet
Sonic Boom turns your phone into a virtual firecracker, using your finger as a virtual match. Strike the match, ignite the fuse, wait... boom.
Resize the firecracker (and TNT) with a vertical pinch gesture. Resize the fuse length (and time) with a horizontal pinch gesture. For those with more elaborate combustive plans, go ahead and graft a picture on the firecracker.
Use touch to explore the exploded debris. Use the time bar to slow down or speed up an explosion.
Use your breath to blow out the fuse. You can also blow the exploded debris (requires mic on Touch).
See and hear actual explosions around the world: tap the Smule logo to get the icon bar, and then tap the globe.
Sonic Boom is perfectly safe and will not harm your iPhone or its speakers. If you have the maximum TNT setting, however, it will temporarily simulate cracking your screen, but it is pretty obvious we are simulating this (at least we think so).
You might consider Sonic Lighter or Electric Smoke -- both of these applications can ignite your firecracker.
Or try Smule's other applications including Ocarina, the first wind instrument on the iPhone, I Am T-Pain, Leaf Trombone, Zephyr (the wind itself), or Sonic Vox.

Ah, yes, I remember playing with firecrackers as a child   Well, I'm against lots of things having to do with bombs and such, but admit I enjoyed playing with firecrackers as a child. And so I'm bringing back lots of fond memories with this little gem. Favorite feature: expanded fuse length -- I can defer the explosion for several minutes, and I expect this will be quite useful. - Sonic Boom review by I Eat Ferns
Cheap entertainment   Like the finger match and adjustable fuse. Reminds me of throwing M-80's in the alley with my buddies in elementary school. Except now I can put the teacher's photo on it. ;-) - Sonic Boom review by viliami
So much fun!   This is a really fun app-love the shaking of the phone after you light it up as well as the booms around the world, Awesome! - Sonic Boom review by llay
A Guilty Pleasure   I never would have guessed how cathartic it is to light cyber firecrackers. With three active kids, a crazy dog and a generally dizzying schedule my stress-releasing activities tended toward more tranquil diversions: reading, knitting, walking. Now I find myself blowing up my iPhone every chance I get. I also find it fun to check out the globe. With Smule's GPS feature you can watch your explosions and check out simultaneous Sonic Boom activity around the world. - Sonic Boom review by wordmom
What the...?   Ok, so I used it one time with the explosive very large, but three seconds into the boom, it shows a pic of cracked glass and I hear a crack sound from the headphones. What was that? - Sonic Boom review by Jacobdscherer
a nice complement to the sonic lighter   Well, I wrote extensively about the sonic lighter when I installed it a few weeks ago, so I'll be more merciful here. A friend told me Smule had another app, so I had to test this out and see if in fact I could ignite my firecracker with the Sonic Lighter running on another phone. Indeed, it works as advertised. Too much fun. One question: I can zoom in on the globe, but it seems they have the pinch gesture backwards? The lighter pinch works like safari. This is minor, but it will cost smule one star on my review. Adding back star: update allows me to blow the debris. Awesome. - Sonic Boom review by Cache County
Yipee   It's sooo pointless, yet great for waking people up! - Sonic Boom review by SickTreeHugger
Fun   Wish there was a destructable environment or something like that around it. None the less fun. - Sonic Boom review by Nickkkkkk
Awesome app, totally worth the dollar   love when it makes it look like the tnt broke the glass on your ipod - Sonic Boom review by Newton1221
I like it   Great sound and visuals. Love the occasional broken glass effect! - Sonic Boom review by Reefmermaid
Good buy, but needs improvement   This is an excellent app, good for wasting time, and it's fun to blow something up every now and then. I really enjoy it and won't like it any less if it stays the same, but it could be much better. I would personally like to be able to adjust the camera angle throughout the explosion/ignition sequence, and the sound sounds pretty much the same to me regardless of the explosion size. It should be higher pitched on some and lower on others, and it should also not be so long. I would like if it was more interactive as well. Perhaps you could make it so there was an environment (just like ground or something) that you could destroy to a certain extent, and you could move the firecracker around. I think the explosion could use some work, as it looks quite fake in the way that it is confined to the shape of the firecracker. Maybe you could add different fuse options, with different colors that have different burn rates. Any or all of these things would turn it into a great product that I would definitely pay a few dollars for. - Sonic Boom review by vegetatrian
i like it   i've blown up about 50 crackers now at high volume. works extremely well. didn't realize my iphone speaker was that good.i'm mesmerized by the falling debris from the sky. slow motion is the best view here. worth $0.99 for sure. i'm keeping my eye on smule... i wonder what is next. update allows me to blow the debris with my breath. holy holy. adding a fifth star. - Sonic Boom review by the other oracle
Fun, room for improvement   Pretty amusing, worth a dollar. Coolest feature is the globe showing users around the world. Framerate takes a big hit when explosion goes off, hope that gets addressed. Also hope they add a way to disable the starting tutorial. Overall a fun app. - Sonic Boom review by SkyWalk423
Does this thing have duds?   It's good, but when i made a fuse that took like 5 minutes to explode it just started smoking when the fuse finally reached the firecracker. Then it just started smoking some more for a really long time. Is this thing suppose to have duds, or is it just a really delayed effect? - Sonic Boom review by Chuck Norris uuusghtddvhrszyhfrfghgfxdfg14614994150731634073170821282728 just wanted to make sure it
Now you have a reason to ask for a light   Make the cracker as big as possible, ask your friends to give you a light with the Sonic Lighter, and enjoy their surprise. For an iPhone, the 3d explosion is pretty cool (its definitely not a movie), but could probably be improved by Smule. I hope I'll be heard... - Sonic Boom review by newIfan
Sweeet   While the idea of a world view with explosions going off everywhere is somewhat apocalyptic, it looks awesome. And the application itself has been a joy for myself and my mates. And it will remain so. I put four stars, but really meant to put three and a half. The explosion graphics are abit weak, but considering it is a phone application, they are still incredible. If they ever make it so that it is possible to move the firecracker around and position it, i would bump the rating up by at least one star. - Sonic Boom review by smokey1985
This product does not damage your speaker   We noticed a review claiming speaker damage due to a Sonic Boom explosion. The Smule products won't harm your speaker. Sonic Boom, however, will pretend to break the glass on your phone (if you have the right TNT settings). But this is fairly obvious that we are pretending, no? - Sonic Boom review by Smule Support
Give us more!!   I have every smule app including ocinara, and I love every single one of them. My fav is sonic vox, but u guys should make more apps and faster. U guys have potential and r really creative. Just make an update 4 this 1 cuz explosions could look better. - Sonic Boom review by Dudethatwrotethisreview
Europe?!?   Why does it seam like Europe always has bombs exploding and for sonic lighter they are always like in a fireball? - Sonic Boom review by Hhhhhhafajdkkhsjxifgrf
Neat-o   Pretty cool app. Fun to dick around with. Well worth 99 cents. BETTER GRAPHICS COULDN'T HURT THOUGH. - Sonic Boom review by Mizzou2
