I have 3 monitors at 1280x1024 and my LogMeIn app works just fine. I can now control all of my computers from anywhere using my iPhone. And it cost me $30. I have to click a few buttons extra to switch from monitor to monitor on my office machine, but it's seamless. TRULY INCREDIBLE!

Amazing App Even Better After Recent Update I have been using Logmein on my Mac and PC's for a long time. I was pleased to hear about Logmein Ignition. Ignition worked well but seemed prone to crash or hang at times (memory issues?) especially on my Macs. Since the recent update, I have found ignition to be very stable (no crashes at all) and does not seem to have memory issues (I did get the warning perhaps once but without any problems-- I have used the program "FreeMemory". It had been recommended before to force-quit Safari on the iPhone but Ignition appears to work well now without this.) I can't tell you how great it is to have access to all of my computers on my iPhone (especially when we are traveling). It is amazing to me the speed even on 3G (although I use the grayscale setting). I can say I highly recommend this program especially after the recent update.

Amazing! You can even drag and drop! I was hesitant to spend the money, but it paid off. I have dual monitors and it works flawlessly over 3G. The ability to highlight and drag and drop is amazing. I even log in to check out flash websites when needed. Pretty intuitive keys and easy to work with. Good job LogMeIn. Great for those times when away from the office and home.

Works great! Excellent refresh rates via 3G and Wifi. Refresh rate is great via both 3G and WiFi. The usability is surprisingly good for a small screen. You won't want to spend long periods of time working on this, but if you need to log into your home/office machine to e-mail a file to your iPhone, check the status of Torrent downloads/video conversion/software installs/etc, it's perfect. I find that keyboard interaction works fine, but is a but frustrating. It's best to stick to tasks that can be done via mouse only.TIP IF YOU HAVE A LARGE MONITOR: Set LogMeIn to automatically change your PC's resolution to 800x600 or 1024x768 when you take remote control. This make a BIG difference in usability and performance (also helps with memory issues on iPhone), and the resolution will automatically revert back to it's normal setting as soon as you disconnect. So when you get back to your PC, it will be just how you left it (no need to manually turn the resolution back up).I highly recommend this app. Well worth the price, even if you only use it occasionally.

Works great! I was kind of concerned about the usability of a remote control application on the iPhone but I've found it to be quite usable. I have the free version loaded on several systems at work and home and I can easily control them from the iPhone.

Security risk and low memory I have multiple monitors set at 1650x1050 - I always get a low memory warning whenever I connect and i see occasional app crashes - the app is not too stable. Also, I hate the fact they store my computer's login and password on their server - I just don't trust it - if someone hacks their server then they can directly log into my pc too! I'm uninstalling this right now.

Impressed and disappointed I bought the app (business expense) and I'm impressed and disappointed at the same time.I was able to connect to a Windows PC running at 1024x768 with no problem. The speed over Wifi was excellent and entirely usable, and the interface is well-done.Then I tried to connect to a Mac running at 1680x1050. After connecting, it started to draw the screen, but then the app told me that there was not enough memory and promptly crashed.Not worth $30 in my opinion until they fix that. Don't bother if you have multiple monitors Gives me an error every time that the resolution on my host pc is set to high (I have dual 1600x1200 monitors). Rather than offering to disable a monitor, or change the desktop resolution, the app just says that it's too much memory and closes. Not very useful. Extreme Disappointment DO NOT BUY THIS APP UNTIL IT IS FIXED!!! There are constant memory warnings and it's slow to log into my imac even within my own network. I've been using mocha vnc lite and it takes about 5 seconds to log in and it's free. I've been waiting to buy this app for the last 2 months and I'm extremely disappointed. I bought this so I could log in far away from my computer securely, unlike vn cand I feel like I have been robbed for $30.

Needs a little work A bit on the expensive side, but since you can use it with the free LogMeIn account I think it's OK.The app has already crashed/frozen on me twice, so it seems it needs a bit more polish before it's there. App crashed at remote login I have been using log me in fir years now and jumped to it when I found it can be used on the iPhone. The app over all is good but I occationally get a memory issue and it won't allow me to log into my remote server. The remote servers i mostly log into have a resolution of 1920x1200. Released Too Soon LogMeIn released this too early. There are several critical bugs that still exist. The app crashes when trying to connect to computers with higher screen resolutions. I have PUSH turned off like they suggest and I don't have a jailbroken iPhone. You will get a WARNING message telling you the device is running out of free memory when trying to connect to computers running higher screen resolutions. Research Before Buying! When I saw so many 5-star and 1-star reviews here, I knew that this was probably one of those great apps that just wasn't meant for everybody. So I did A LOT or researching on the LogMeIn website's FAQ and Community sections, as well as reviews and comments on other iPhone related websites. I found that there is MUCH to know that is not in the app's description. For example turning off Push, force quitting Safari, lowering screen resolutions if necessary, not having your computer asleep, etc. There are many steps you can take to eliminate the problems people are having with this app.
LogMeIn Ignition is incredibly useful and reliable if you do your homework first. Get an idea of it's advantages and it's limitations. Find out if it's right for you before rushing into purchasing it and being frustrated and disappointed.
The only suggestion I have for the developers is to allow it to automatically lower pre-set screen resolutions upon sign in, then revert them back upon quitting. That would be VERY convenient.
I can now use Dreamweaver, QuickBooks, or whatever else I want right on my iPhone... while sitting at a bar having a beer!! How cool is that? - LogMeIn Ignition review by S.Kay
Easiest remote access out there! I've been a long time user of LogMeIn on both Macs and PC's. After having been frustrated by clunky design and poor performance in other VNC applications for the iPhone, this has been exactly what I was looking for. Great Idea..Not Yet Ready The idea behind this app is great, but the implementation is poor. The app constantly crashes unless your computer is run at a very low screen resolution. The speed over wifi is good, but the app comes to a crawl over Edge. Impressive app gives me freedom This is an absolutely incredible app! I was sad not to be one of the beta testers, but am so glad it did not take long to release. Once I reset the iphone after installing this app it works great. Very intuitive interface. I can now access all my computers from anywhere. Very liberating. A little expensive but in the long run probably will be worth it. As more people purchase this app, hopefully, the price will come down. Memory issues Crashed every time trying to connect to my iMac (running at 1920*1200). Said something about running out of memory. Same with a connection to my XP box at work when I tried to switch to "all monitors." Amazing program. Was able to connect to hospital computer easily. Asked me once about the computer resolution and memory resources. Program did not crash on me. I was even able to review LIVE fetal monitoring. Keyboard has @ and . on the same screen, makes putting your email info easier. Right and left mouse buttons were confusing at the beginning. I am HOPING this program has strong security measures to protect viewing of sensitive data. Highly recommended. Haven't tried it with Edge or 3G yet. Thank You LogMeIN. 12/17/08. Addendum: the program crashes while connecting to macbook air computer connected to an external monitor in the VERTICAL position. I saw the desktop screen for almost 5 seconds. Problem is repetitive. Works pretty darn well If you're familiar with LogMeIn, you know how handy it can be for remote access to your machines. The iPhone isn't the perfect platform to use for remote control, and controlling the remote screen is a bit awkward to use (you'll want to look at the hints a lot). You certainly won't want to use this as your primary controller. But being able to access the the LogMeIn service from your iPhone and do that emergency server maintenance or reboot or troubleshooting using just your iPhone is incredibly powerful.Worth every penny, and will pay for itself the first time you need it. - LogMeIn Ignition review by justinjenn
