Perfect but for one fatal flaw This is a terrific app, very quick and easy to use. It gives you many ways to find and purchase your title. However, this app lacks one very important (and rather simple) tool. "Other Formats." As a B&N employee I can asure you that virtually every popular title these days will come out almost simultaneously as and audio book and a hardcover. And the audiobook will be available as an MP3 download or as a physical set of CDs. Most popular books that have been on the shelf for a while have half a dozen different formats. However, when you search for a title, or use the slick snapshot option, your results may be the CD when you in fact want to purchase the hardcover, or the hardcover instead of the paperback. I can already see customers completing their purchase through this app and being disappointed when they get their product in hand, not having seen the tiny type identifying their book as a CD audiobook. What's needed (and should be quite simple to implement) is a link to all of the various formats for any given title. Add this (and maybe a way to manage your membership settings) and you have a virtually perfect app.

Not member-friendly As one reviewer has already noted, current members of BN are not recognized. I have been a card-carrying BN member for years. Yet I was prompted to complete an iPhone member application. Why should I have to carry two accounts AND why should BN maintain data on two accounts. It seems the left hand is not speaking with the right hand!

I get it now The camera feature works beautifully even in black and white. I shot a book cover in a newspaper review and it found the listing no problem. At first I didn't understand why you'd want to shoot the cover but now I see the light. I would like to see a wish list feature so you could save books you are merely considering buying if not yet ready to put in your shopping cart.

Highly Recommended! Amazingly well done. Snap feature is truly next level. No doubt that this app will lead to many more books being bought. Would love to see a wish list that I can keep on my phone or email, as well as a 'recommend similar' that could provide an educated guess at similar books, authors or product when browsing product pages or authors. I'd buy way more books if I could easily find books similar to ones I've already enjoyed, especially when I've read all books by a particular author and looking for a new author or series to get into.

Absolutely incredible One of the best bookstores apps available. I love the feature of reserve in store, but if not in stock perhaps an order to pick up in store. Not sure. Love it though.

Amazing app! Who thought you could have a bookstore in your hands. This app is superb. I love the snap feature. I took a low quality picture of a book and found it within seconds. I also like how there's a picture of your bookstore when you search for it. I will always use this app. I hardly read but this app made me read more

Bookstore in my pocket For a book lover like me, there is nothing better than having a bookstore in my pocket. Any time I hear about a good book, I l can look it up (or photograph it), learn more about it, and find out which stores in my area have a copy. And that's just the basics. With author interviews, book reviews and more, I can get great recommendations. I recommend this for anyone that likes to read.

My fave store now has an awesome app! So cool and convenient. Snapping a picture of a book I was interested in worked SO well. Low light and just a fraction of the book cover and it found it! And told me what stores near me had it in stock. Easy to shop too. Love it.

Great start! I love the app, but hope that some more features will be added in the future... For example- account access, a 'wish list' and more ways to search by genre, author, etc... I use almost daily though, and love it!!
*edited to add that I am extremely disappointed that the items I put in my cart keep disappearing so I have to look them up again**

What's there works, it's what's not there that bugs me LONG VERSION: The features on this app are great -- they work great, they look great, they are great. It's a good app for finding books, finding stores, purchasing books online, or reserving books to pick them up at the store.What I wish this app had was some kind of list or save feature. I usually keep a list of books I want to look at later because I don't have time to really read the reviews and decide if I want it right now. I would love this app if it had a list feature so that I could save the titles of these books, then come back to look at them later and decide if I want to purchase them or not. Even just a straight Wish List feature would work. As it is, I could save things in the Cart, but then I'd have to remove items I didn't want to buy right away.SHORT VERSION: Devs, I would be grateful if you added a list/wish list feature! Thanks!

Needs work... This would be a complete application but it is missing (1) the ability to login to your personal account and (2) lacks the ability to check/ view your order status.
The mobile site provides these functions, B&N should merge the best of both. Please make these change to this app....

No ability to store your online account? I do not understand why e-tailers make iPhone apps that don't sync to your online account. In this case, I also don't understand why it brings you to Safari to check out. It would be much more useful if your account information were stored in the app and check out happened in the app as well. I'm pretty certain this will be fixed in later versions, but it doesn't make sense to release an app without basic functionality like that. This could be a great app, but it's not there yet.
