Slick and clever, but clearly there are issues.   *** Updated for 1.01 The crashes appear to be a thing of the past. No matter what I did the app would not crash where it was previously just unusable. While trends have been added, I'm afraid it's not very intuitive and if you need to go through the process of "Add a new column" and toggle through the choices until you get to "View Trends". It seems a rather awkward way just to find a list. But people were badly missing this and it is here. Sync columns seems to have developed a problem, and I don't know if it is with this implementation or a server issue. I often got nothing but a click and the button to disappear when clicking on 'sync columns' but there was often an immediate message that there was a problem with this synch, try later. When it does at tims actually check for updates it either produces the same error, or advises there is nothing to sync (where a column was deleted) - All in all, the crashes alone allows me to raise the rating to three stars from one. I feel this is an app that can really grow on you and the more you use it the more you'll like it. That was impossible with the crashing of course. The trends are a good addition but poorly executed, and of course the sync is an issue I can't figure yet. No doubt I will be raising my rating to four stars in the near future and perhaps on the next release to five. This is a very clever implementation of an app that has more or less just been done one way previously. Great prospects.* version 1.0 - As a fan of Tweedeck desktop, I looked forward to this release. It's a great effort in design and usability, but it clearly went out before it was ready. The frequency of crashing is way too high, and having read through the forums, and contacting them myself, the developers appear unresponsive on the problems. Thre is a great deal of comments here and the forums about 'wish' lists and functionality people feel is missing. This is unimportant to me on a first release.I look forward to an update in the near future, and an update in my review. In the meantime if you want to avoid frustration with crashing, and just logging in as others have, wait for the 1.xx release.

Love it except...   This is the best Twitter app I've used. I wish it didn't crash as often as it does. It would also be nice if there was an option to clear read tweets like the desktop app does. I'd also like it if it automatically scrolled to the first unread tweet.

Awesome.   A very good application. TweetDeck is my favorite PC Twitter client, and now it's my favorite one on my iPod. It's very accessible and simple to use, just as the PC version is. My only complaint is the lack of landscape keyboard, but I'll just hope that shows up later.

Just what I've been looking for   I've never written a review (which I guess is probably the stupidest way to start a review). After downloading and configuring TweetDeck on my iPhone, I felt that I should share my thoughts though. I don’t use Twitter that much. Frankly I use it selfishly to follow only those feeds that I’m interested in, I don’t really follow people/friends (with few exceptions). And I don’t like Twitter’s webpage because I can’t organize anything in a way that’s conducive for me. All the updates are bunched together which is a pain. What if I cared more about one group than another? TweetDeck has solved the problem for me! With the ability to create columns and add the users I want to follow, they have really come up with an answer to a problem I’ve had since starting to use Twitter. I must point out that I’ve only had the app for about 30 minutes, but I can’t get over how well it allows me to organize. The group idea is phenomenal. Thank you TweetDeck. Because of your iPhone app, I’m probably going to use your desktop app! One request, allow me to rearrange the columns (which might already be a function, I just haven’t found it).

Crash Hard   Crashes WAY too much, even after iPhone reboot. No trends, no real search function, no landscape keyboard, no way to add multiple @users in a tweet without manual entry, no stocks, Ect ect ... Back to Twittelator Pro.

Not Stable   It would be a nice app if it were stable. I've had it crash 4 times and freeze once since installing. Hopefully an update will fix this.

Nice interface, good ideas, bad stability   I like the look of TweetDeck, and I love the idea of synching with my desktop version, but this app can't stay up long enough for me to get attached to it -- it keeps crashing to the home screen. I'm sticking with Tweetie but will consider trying TweetDeck again after the next upgrade.

Lacking search/trends   I'm really dissapointed that they didn't include search/trends in this app. I'm sure it will come in an update but until then, I'll be using Tweetie.
