Darkroom - Stepcase
Does your iPhone photos come up blurry at times? Is it from insufficient lighting or accidental motion from pressing the shutter button? Whatever the reasons, Darkroom can help you achieve better photos.
Darkroom's steady mode feature takes a photo automatically once there's no movement. You'll only need to focus on the subject and keep your hands steady. Perfect for subjects in low light or self portraits.
You are now able to share your photos online. Instead of keeping the photos to yourself in your Camera Roll, upload it your online Stepcase photo album and immediately share those moments with friends and family.
Features:
- One click photo taking
- Optimized steady mode algorithm
- Preview in Camera Roll
- Auto save
- Online album
- Clean interface with larger viewing window
Upgrade to Darkroom Pro and get two more steady modes for greater control as well as other useful features such as Self timer and full screen shutter.

Just as good as night camera!   This app takes the same kind of photos as night camera. After you click the camera, it shows you a progress bar to indicate how close it thinks you are to being steady enough before it automatically takes the shot.Night camera, however, does have sensitivity options to be more/less picky on how steady you need to be. This app, however, is free.

Follow up   This is a followup to my review:The only "issue" I have with the app is that there is no way to go straight to the pictures within this app like the default app, you have to close it up and open up "photos" to view them. It would be great if the developer could make it possible to jump from this app to photos right away at a press of an icon.

Update problem (REVISED comment!)   *** Less than 2 hours after I sent email to the author concerning this problem, he replied: "We are working with Apple to solve this problem. It looks like there are some problems on the binary on the store. Will let you know once this is resolved."When I try to sync this latest version, I get an error msg. telling me that it cannot install it on my iPhone because it can't verify it. Now what? I've emailed the author (in Hong Kong -- see above note). Until this problem has been resolved, don't update.

Download problems   I did as requested and opened the iTunes store. I then thought maybe I should re-download the ap, but to no avail. I hope the developers correct the problem soon, but until then I will enjoy the version I have!

Great APP   This is a really great app. I just realized today that the regular camera on the phone is really bad, its way too blurry when I try to take a pic and is sensitive to even the slightest movements. This app works great and has now officially replaced the mediocre standard iphone camera. It waits until the camera is stable before it takes the picture. Self pics look clear and crisp. For all the people that are complaining that they have no idea where their pictures are here is a tip: check in your photo album under camera roll, its just that simple. Thanks for this really great app developers. They just have to update it to have "modes" instead of the steady picture mode but its a great start. - Darkroom review by deadstroke
Patience required   I loaded this app today and the first picture I took seemed to hang up the iPhone. It turns out it did not. I took three more pictures, and can say it does what it claims to do, but it does necessitate some waiting. When I got back home, and saw the pictures on my computer, all looked good. Good things come to those that wait. - Darkroom review by US Bengoshi
junk---glad it was free   I downloaded this and took a picture. To be sure, it was steady. But it locked up my iPhone entirely. I could not quit the app, nor could i take any additional photos. I had to do a hard restart of the iPhone (and guess what---the photo I took is not in the iPhone photo library). There's also no link to the photo library, unlike the Camera application, so that you can easily get to the photo library from SteadyCam. But then, that's not necessary anyway if the application crashes the entire iPhone and doesn't save the photo you take in the first place. Bad! - Darkroom review by dtoub
Free, but Night Camera is still better   Fewer options than Night Camera, and it seems to want you to be "steady" for a second or so before it takes the shot, rather than just taking the shot immediately when you are steady (and Night Cam has a few sensitivity options). A very unscientific test of 5 shots with each app showed that unless you're moving your hand around a lot, SteadyCam didn't produce better images than Night Camera or the built-in Camera app -- although it will prevent you from taking photos with major movements just fine (which the built-in Camera won't).Nothing profoundly wrong with this app, but you're only saving 99 cents versus Night Cam, and so far it's not as good. - Darkroom review by ymatto
Amazing   REPLACES NIGHT CAMERA APP. very good user interface with the status bar. Great jobs guys!!!! - Darkroom review by Chan
Good for free   Not the best and not the worst. Only issue is how long it takes to save the photo. Can lose pictures if you hit the home button before it's done saving. - Darkroom review by Gumland
Replaced the standard phone camera   Updated: new patch update resolved a lot of the weaknesses. Can now choose to save or retake and the modified camera script now takes better pictures. This program is now my main camera app to take pictures. A definite download! - Darkroom review by Nexx
Excellent app   The camera works great, better than some of the $$ apps. Don't pay attention to the low reviews, this app has been patched to put into cam roll. Only flaw is that there is no direct link to camera roll, so you have to exit the app > photo's but the quality of the photo pays for the extra time spent.
I would pay for this app if it had that functionality! - Darkroom review by Moemedia
Sharp pics every time   Great app...even low light exposures you can't help but get the best quality photo that your iPhone can take....highly recommended - Darkroom review by Histryboy
Ask before save   It dose exactly what it says, maybe for next update u should be able to chose sensitivity and ask u before it saves - Darkroom review by Drummerdip
Lvvex7   Great job! Works as expected, can't wait for the upgraded version:) - Darkroom review by Vex7
Works as supposed too   After downloading I tried the SteadyCam...worked as advertised.Photos went to Camera Roll...no problems - Darkroom review by JPOISSO
Great idea, needs shortcut to photo album   If only it had a shortcut, it's be awesome! Great for reducing blurred shots, though! Good stuff! - Darkroom review by RickCastello
