The interface is clean and quick to use, with good visual representations of your spending by category. It feels secure too -- a concern for many corporate users -- with password protection and the ability to backup and restore data at will. And if you want a gimmick -- but a genuinely useful one -- you can take snaps of individual receipts to be stored in your records too. Just what the company accountant ordered."

iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) reviewed by Users
Love this app, can't wait for an update (I hope)   I am loving this application, presentation is nice and feels like a built in app, the ease of input and multiple ways to view your spending is awesome; however I do have a few gripes that I hope could be fixed in an update. My large gripe is that there is no way to set an actual budget for a category by the week or per month, which is my main reason for using a finance application. Alotting a certain amount of money per activity per week or month for bills is key. It would be great to incoporate that and then be able to to see how much is left for the month in that budget, etc.On a more minor note, when on the main page viewing your transaction list it would be nice to see the vendor on the left instead of just the category, or even both, maybe an option to choose how thats displayed, maybe vendor main and category sub-dominate below?I am going to continue to use this app in hopes for an update but in the long wrong I may have to switch to get what I need. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by SmartriX
Great presentation, very useful app, but missing some core features   This app is definately a winner, and is the best I could find for managing my expenses on the go. It is very well designed and looks like a native app. However, there are some core features that seriously need work asap:1) Export of the receipt images is essential - taking photos is pointless without this feature. I emailed support and they have said that they're working on it - this seems to be partly Apple's fault (for not allowing email attachements).2) Automatic syncing with an online account or my computer needs to be added - I want to be able to see my expenses anywhere. They should take advantage of the new background push functionality that's coming soon. Also, I was curious as to whether or not there's a way to have a customized iPhone keypad for cetain entry fields - for example, when entering a $ amount, is it possible for a programmer to show a numeric-only keypad (with a decimal place key, but without all the other unnecessary symbols). (At the moment they have defaulted to the iPhone's number and symbol keypad when on the $ amount field, which is good - I was just curious about making it even better - larger numbers would be very helpful for speedy entry.)And finally - just a minor note to the developers - everything is so well designed EXCEPT, I'd say, the home screen... the splash screen and the initial two buttons are the only pieces that don't "look and feel" like a native app. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by jakegnyc
Pleased   I couldn't decide between this app or the budget app. I decided to buy both to demo each one and see which one was going to be a better fit. This app was the one I picked because I was abele to customize and graph my expenses the way I wanted. This app also has more funtionality too such as camera usage and exporting results. Free updates was also another good perk. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by Gotsven
Great expense tracker   This is the one I was looking for. Ability to create your categories, take pics of receipts and generate reports on the go!
Great job!
Next feature needs to be nested categories. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by Rick Blalock
Excellent app, cust service; report needed   Excellent customer service and support to go along with the best iPhone app!
My questions have been answered promptly by competent, caring support staff. The program is helping me to get a handle on my family's expenses. Easy to use in the stores where you spend the money, and excellent export feature to backup in Excel on your desktop at home.
Please add a report summary for payment method (cash, credit, debit...). Then it would be even better. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by Bifocal Man
For me it gets it right   This is an excellent program that gets the right balance between functionality and complexity--it gets the job done without being overly complex. It is well worth the money. There may be some more involved things that it doesn't do, but then that means that you are also more involved. I personally don't want to spend more time doing my expense report just so I can have a prettier pie chart on my computer, and as the saying goes: "A picture is worth a thousand words." - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by Riled
Dead end app   Neat idea to capture receipts via picture, but once your data is entered, there is no way to get it out! Export sends a CSV file embedded in an email (yuk!) and does not include the images. There is no way to print or export a report and there is no way to submit expenses to your boss or employer.
No one could use this app successfully in any business venture. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by MobileAppMan
Fantastic!   I don't know which impresses me more: the fact that this a business app truly worthy of the name; the profound responsiveness of the development team to customer requests/concerns; the take-a-pic-of-the-receipt feature; the flash presentation at the site to break down main features so I know what's up BEFORE I buy; or the fact that it just works, smoothly and wonderfully. In any event, while it's a darn good app now, the features soon to be added (export to csv, mileage tracking component, and more) makes me downright giddy. I LOVE these folks! - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by TreoRenegade
Best Travel Expense App Yet! (Updated 8/25/08)   Ok, since I can’t give it more than 5-Stars, I suppose it’s time to ask for something big! How about a built-in currency converter for us international travelers? It’s a real pain to first use a converter App and then load the adjusted US~$ value into iXenpensIt. Yeah I know that’s a big to-do although it would really be a useable feature even if it were only updated once a day or so. On the more frivolous and easier side, how about some enhanced 3D bar/pie charts?Sidebar: It’s truly unfortunate when someone dogs the App with 1-star simply because of a burp during the install process, which can be caused by most anything. If users would simply use common sense and read the reviews, the reviewer would see that it isn’t a systemic problem or latent defect.Anyway, here are a couple of "real" issues:1). Apparently there isn’t a way to go back to the list “main” view, after editing to an individual record. The only option is push the home button, which closes the App.2). I'm unable to remove or otherwise edit a sub-category that I entered incorrectly.Still, these are rather small things although they do require attention.Regards,~DD - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by Digital Dude1
Great Program Worth The Price   I have been using the program all week and I already rethought my budget or more like my budget restraints. Highly Recommend! - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by mwarren
Excellent Application   I have purchased several budgeting applications already and this one is the best. I hope that subcategories will appear in a futrure update. Love the ability to take a photo. (Very clever) Nice job. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by jtrainornyc
Thoughtful app   I found this app to be one of the thoughtful ones. My favorite features are the customizable defaults and the capability to add/remove Types, Categories etc. to make it relevant to me. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by JeremyLz
Civil Supv   Great application for us guys that travel
on the road working in the construction field!!! It's simple and easy to use, PLUS, you can export your info via email! - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by Greenre4
Great program   Pro: Love the clean way new entries can be input and the graphical summaries. Con: Please fix the spelling errors. It's really annoying that you'd put so much effort into this wonderful program and then drop the ball when it comes to spelling simple words like 'Debit' and 'Vacation'. Hopefully these were made because you were worried about more important issues. All in all, excellent program. Thanks so much for the App. I'm looking forward to the update. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by Vastus
Winner!   Very easy to use. The most customerizable amongst the expense apps. I can track my personal expenses, as well as business expenses. Subcategories would be nice, but guess I can do without for now by adding my own categories. Love the camera capture receipts feature. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by DJM08
Suggestions   I'm a huge fan of the app but I really wish I could delete the pre-set categories. It's so much easier to name my own and I'd rather not have to wade through so many to get to the only one's I'm really going to be using. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by BC0407
Underpowered for business   Excited by ads, but too light weight for professional use. Inability to set up enough categories, e.g., can only specify "travel" -- there is no category for hotel, airlines, car rental, etc. No output to preformatted templates. Basically, it will not do a real expense report. Too bad, the camera capture of receipts is cool. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by Popperdave
Great Application   I thought the application was very easy to incorporate into your everyday life to keep track of expenses. I am already seeing that I am spending too much on coffee at lunch. Very easy to use. Hopefully, it will have a "how much do I have to spend on coffee this month" budget feature with an update. - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by WJMIII
Where did my receipts go?   Easy enough to customize the categories for whatever you need. Easy to record. Keeps a nice list of your expenses. The export via email to an csv/excel file is fine; just set up your template and import into that template. But unusable for two reasons: (1) Where did my receipt pictures go? They seem to be stored inside the iXpenseIt app but don't get put into iPhone's Camera Roll... So I cannot export them and send for reimbursement. (2) There is only one log (i.e., all receipts go into the same bucket). So if I want to submit a batch of receipts (call it "Jeff's July Expenses") and then move on to another reporting period, I would have to delete all my old receipts and start anew with the new reporting period....I hope an update fixes those two things and then I'd give it 5 stars for saving me tons of time! - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by bilbrey.j.m.
Great app and developer   This app is great! I really like that it is very quick. You don't have to manually type in anything except for the price. Of course you have to type in the vendor if you want to add that field, but once you type "Target" once, it is always there. The graphs are great too! It gives you a quick rundown on all your spending. The reason I bought this app was becasue of the developer. I always read the reviews and look for requests. Then, if there is already an update, I read what was updated. The developer added almost all the requested features in just one update! He/she is paying attention to what everybody wants. Very very good! One thing I would like, which is what other people have said, so I'm sure it's being worked on, is the ability to input income. That's pretty much it. Other than that, this is a great app and I suggest anyone who wants to keep track of their spending should get this. Thank you and keep it up! - iXpenseIt (Expense + Income = Cashflow with Budget) review by parkstech
