RSS Probe is a fast and simple feed reader with the handy social features such as updating Twitter and creating notes for Evernote.
It is also the framework application of ITmedia, one of the most popular news readers in Japanese App Store.
With its iPhone savvy user interface, you can quickly browse multiple feeds.
The text contents are locally cached for offline browsing on the subway etc.
Plus you don't need to open Safari browser to see the original article or any linked Web page as it will be displayed within the in-app Web viewer.
(Note this application would not assume fetching unlimited number of feeds like Google Reader. See the specifications for details.)
You can easily add your favorite feeds by importing the OPML file. In the importing process, just pick up any feed you want to subscribe with this application. (To import your OPML file, it needs to be uploaded to, or stored on the Internet in advance.)
Specifications:
- Unread count can be displayed on Home screen
- The maximum number of feeds: 20
- The maximum number of entries per feed: 25

Too little screen space   The UI is decent and it has all the features you would expect but when you click in a link in a post it takes you to the site, the problem is 50% of the screen real estate is rendered useless due to their UI. So I've deleted the app for now.

Needs some work: READ CAREFULLY   It visually looks nicer than the others; however, it takes a while to load all the RSS Feeds, every time you open it. You can have it check every 15 minutes, but it is still annoying. The most annoying problem of all, is the lack of a "Mark All As Read" option. You will have unread RSS feeds that pile on and on. I like to clear them off after a while, with this, you have to go through each and every topic to make them as read. - RSS Probe review by f00fighters
I Think I Found One I like!!   I saw the screenshots for this app and thought I'd give it a chance. Very responsive. Would like a feed search so that you would not have to add each url. Other than that I love it. - RSS Probe review by Andy Engel
RSS Probe   This is one of the better RSS readers that I've run across (and I've tried several). It is a very functional reader overall, but it could be improved in a couple of areas:-allow the user to add a feed simply by typing the URL without having to find the actual address of the feed-record more than 20 items per feed-provide more space between the page up and page downs (they are much too close together)-provide a function that allows the user to group different feeds into folders - RSS Probe review by OticCapsule
Free of charge when it bought a baffling...   I am still studying it in the end how compatible with the Google Reader... - RSS Probe review by Alex Wong
Pretty but unstable   The app has a nice look but from there things seem to go downhill.
1) App crashes on and off
2) Feeds oftain fail to load upon app launch but will update when you refresh
the feed page.
3) Limited to 20 feeds per source.
4) Either does not support or I'm doing something wrong but I can't view video feeds.
5) needs the ability to add feeds some other way. Currently you have to type the feed web site into a field. The ability to subscribe to a feed without having to hand enter would be prefered. I basically have to look at the site on my mac and enter the feedsite into my iPhone. - RSS Probe review by intake66
Works well once you get used to it   The interface can be awkward, but is nice, though transitions would be welcome and the lists should feather out where the background does. It's nice to see the actual page in the application, but the links don't work. - RSS Probe review by fiercelyindependent
One of the best   It isn't perfect, but functional and simple. Should stay as a free application. I don't think I would pay for it. - RSS Probe review by Iparcel
Awsome   Simple but complete.... It would cool if you could read more than 20 feeds per URL... But so far so good with images and caching - RSS Probe review by Sky vette
Great app   Please remove limitations, it should be able to show more than 1 image per feed etc, also it would be nice to be able to edit feeds, or group feeds - RSS Probe review by Gunrunner07
I just want a reader   I bought this, and am disappointed. I'm just looking for a READER. I just want the whole text of the article to be read from the phone, not the web page. Anyone know which one I should get? - RSS Probe review by skubrats
