We put a lot of thought into the best way to efficiently navigate sites on the iPhone. Just touch the lower left corner in full screen mode to go back. Tap the tab in the lower right corner to leave full screen mode and access other browsing features. A quick tap on the bookmarks icon takes you back to the news list. You can also turn the phone and browse any news site in landscape mode.

New in Version 1.2 Tilt scrolling. Go to settings to turn on tilt scrolling. Hold your phone at a comfortable reading angle and tap the calibrate button. Then just tilt the phone forward or back to have the page scroll automatically. This feature is similar to what you may have seen in the application instapaper.
On the new 17+ Rating: Apple now requires all apps that provide unfiltered access to the internet to be rated at 17+. We have not changed our content other than adding additional news sites.

Fixed Issues Makes for a Very Good News App The display issues noted in my original review (below) have been fixed in version 1.1 making this an exceptionally good news site app. I particularly like the navigation. I would like a way to set a favorite site which it could open to, as many similar apps offer, instead of always opening to the selection screen (this would make getting to the site for which I usually use the app quicker). And I still question the inclusion of Digg as a news site. But with the update, this and News Fuse are the two best news site applications, and I've upped my rating to 4 stars.The original review:This app has well thought out navigation -- probably the best of any internet news app in the store, and I've tried many -- and includes a very good selection of sites (though I question the inclusion of Digg as a news site; Politico's iPhone-optimized site might have been a more logical choice). But once you get past the opening page of some sites, there are serious problems in how articles are displayed, rendering them all but illegible. Try selecting an article from The Washington Post, Time, Newsweek or CNN (and maybe others; I haven't tried them all) and you get minisucule type, not the page formatted for mobile which News Fuse or which the sites themselves deliver. Fix this bug and New Addict could be the best of the news site app bunch. Until then, rendering articles from some key news sources unreadable is a fatal flaw.

News Addict Update review Thanks for the great update to News Addict. Just one suggestion: could you add some speciality magazines like Vanity Affair, The New Republic, the Atlantic Magazine, Fast Company, Success Magazine, and The New Yorker. I believe these magazines would make it a killer app in the I-Tunes store. Thank you and keep up the great work !

Love this app I am a "news junkie" and originally had shortcuts on my iPhone desktop for news sites, such as CNN, FoxNews, etc. Now I have this app and have access to all the news sites. I have one request that I believe would improve the app... Allow the user to remove an unwanted news icon and replace with an icon of another news site. For Instance, I would like to add Sports Illustrated to my news sources. Allow me to remove digg, for example, and replace with the SI site. I think this added flexibility would be extremely useful. But otherwise, this is a great app and will recommend it to my other "news junkie" friends.

Please add the ability to see the link or address to the page. This app needs the ability to copy and paste the link. What do I do when I find an interesting article I want to send to someone??? Please add that and this app would be awesome. Otherwise it does me no good. I'll go back to AP News.

Not ready for primetime User is not permitted to organize the order of the news feeds and must slog thru the wide selection of crap 'media' outlets provided in this app inorder to locate the limited number of higher quality news resources.
Does not show when stories have been updated, published.

NewsAddict Very good collection (manybe of of the best) but I rated 4 stars because you need to get almost all the major citys not just new York and californa but like Houston and Miami and some of the others when you do that I'll rate it 5 stars

Great Program with a few exceptions The main issue I have with this app is its inability to view the news when offline. That would be ideal for use while traveling where service is not an option or in the airplane.

Ohhhhhhhh yeaaaaaah
The best newsreader app for iphone I rarely buy apps but got this one right away because I was hugely impressed by the design of this app. It has now replaced both my browser and dedicated apps such as nytimes. Default full screen mode makes reading the news feel more natural and every site is formatted perfectly for iphone.

Fantastic value!! Great app. No more cluttered pages with saved web sites. Dont have to go into 5 seperate apps and a few web pages to get news.
Setting priorities or having a favorites list would be nice.
