Parents Read. Hunting down unregistered offenders is what I do for a living. Out of ten random searchs this app on the average only produced 23% of the registered offenders located in that given area. If you truly want to protect your children become involved in your childs life as opposed to allowing the world to raise your child for you.

Does not show all of the offender We live in NH. I just googles the NH sex offender registy and there are 23 offenders in our city. This app only shows 2. Great idea but not accurate at all.

Sigh... The app is broken. It crashes frequently.
Problems:
-Crashing
-IMO offensive/immature icon
-Lists for the most minor offenses
-Many sex offenders try to get on with their lives. "I can't wait to mess with them," "Its nice to know all of the perva near you," etc. All of these comments are rude and ignorant. (Not an app issue)
-This info is free and more complete on the net.
-Many sex offenses involving children involve a close family member or friend.

Wrong direction. Politicians feed us the nonsense that awareness protects us but yet we continue to believe uninvolvement in our children's lives does not matter.
Politicians put forth this legislation to get reelected but experts disagree with this method saying that this only further isolates these sad, lonely and sometimes disturbed people who need human interaction and need to be carefully and wisely introduced into society. Further isolation makes things worse and puts our children more at risk. Speak to experts, read up on the matter and think not ONLY with te heart but also your head.

You are crucifying these people!!! You are crucifying these people by putting there Addresses And pictures, but not explaining there case. Urinating in public qualifies to register as a sex offender and is listed as lewd and lischivious act. The crime may have been comited over 20 years ago. You really need to do some research on these peoples cases to see if they are a predator.

Not great Decent app. Doesn't offer as much info as my state, but it's ok Map interface is weak. Can't move or zoom map or click on a pin to that offender. No ability to sort. Doesn't indicate if offender is current on compliance. Immature icon. I suspect every state offers this info free via web. Maryland even has an auto notify function where you get a robo call anytime an offender moves into your zipcode or goes non-compliant.

Not accurate! I downloaded this app and checked for sex offenders in my area. A whole list came up immediately, complete with a photo of each offender, description, address, and the crime they were convicted of. The problem is that I live in Oregon, so I went to the official State of Oregon Sex Offenders Website and searched the same area for registered sex offenders. The lists I pulled from this app and the one from the Official Oregon site were completely different! Either the State of Oregon or this app are completely wrong. I've got to assume that the State of Oregon can track their sex offenders! It's a shame that I had to select one star to be able to write a review. I'll hold onto this app for a little while to see if there is an acceptable update, or if I get ahold of some other information that explains why I have two completely different lists.

Doesn't show all offender I know for a fact of someone in my area less then a mile away who is a registered sex offender and he does not come up on this app. Please do not depend on this app for all registered users.

It doesn't say what their offense is! I'm very disappointed that it doesn't report what their offense is. In my mind there's a big difference when a 20 yr. old is charged with messing around with his 17 yr. old girlfriend than a 20 yr. old messing with a child. This needs to be fixed and then I can give 5 stars.

Great app while house shopping, sex offenders found only a street away! thanks. This is VERY INNOVATIVE, downloaded app today and within seconds I found ALL sex offenders within range of the homes we were looking at buying. This App is a GPS device that can give you actual details of the sex offenders at your current location, including offense and picture of offender. It could even be your next door neighbor... Very scary. My new home buying experience is a reality of what can be living around a corner. It is a comfort that made our decision very clear. I DEFINITELY recommend this to everyone whether you are just shopping for new home or own a home now. It protects your entire family,especially children to any dangers of sex offenders around you. You can feel safe about were you are at ANY given time.A TWO THUMBS UP! Great App, Worth the Money - Only 1 Critique AWESOME APP OVERALL - This app, especially after the most recent update is quick (even on edge), functional & easy to use, slick design and geolocates you with ease.
The app will locate the nearest offenders to either an address that you manually search or you can choose the option 'use your current location.'
I enjoy the 'current location' option; however, I select this option mostly for curiosity and entertainment purposes.
The only issue I have - the app will not allow you to select a 'range' from a desired address or current loation.
If I am in an area outside the city, the app will locate offendors several miles and towns away. However, when in the city, the app only reaches approx. 0.6 miles from my 'current location.'
A feature to select a 10, 15, 30..etc mile range would be a nice function to have - especially for individuals living in highly populated areas.
