- Filtering and categories. We heard your comments and feedback and have now added several categories for your stories. These include; newsworthy, human interest, politics, sports, weather and more.
- Voting on 'newsworthy' stories. We realize that not all uploads were 'newsworthy' stories, so we are letting you, our users, pick them. We've added the ability to vote on stories whether they are 'news' or 'not news.'
- Favoriting and following. You can now 'favorite' any story and quickly get back to those favorites via the bottom navigation bar. We added 'following' where you 'follow' a reporter, you are one click away to all the reporters you are following.
- Better navigation and user interface. We added both a scrolling bar on the top navigation and and bottom navigation
- Keep track of your previous reports. Quickly followup with comments on your previous reports.

Idiotic Awful. A forum for peoples photos and videos if their pets. This will be like YouTube--where 90% of the content is teenagers on trampolines and skateboards or, even worse, videos of ugly children being "cute."

Oddly Undeleted Problems:
- Not fully integrated with auto-complete. You can't hit the little x to keep what you've written, so it ALWAYS auto-completes it.
- Comments and views are always at 0, despite the actual number of comments and views.
- Unlike most apps for iPhone, it doesn't save your progress if you have to exit in the middle of something.
- No user filtration system for abuse of the service (i.e. flagging spam or false stories), but then again, it prevents revenge flags.
Upside:
- Some really good content. Opposite of Fox news- even playing field for everything.
- Fast app. Good UI.

Good Idea Gone Very Wrong! No News Here! I installed this looking for news on hurricane Ike. All I found was some idiot's pictures of everything he/she saw on a roadside in Michigan, loads of pet pictures and someone's grandmother. Everybody needs to download this I thought that the Fox app was something like this, but it ended up being pretty lame. This, on the other hand, is amazing. It's news from the point of view of the people who just read the news. I obviously wouldn't call it a "trusted source," but it's interesting to no end.Even the pointless articles are interesting. Great idea, but stupid content I guess you can't blame CBS for what dumb people do with their app, but I don't see any "news" here - people are posting pictures of their dogs, their kids, mountains, their new sunglasses, nekkid women, a wooden bench, and other stuff even more staggeringly lame. Three for idea minus two for idiots A great execution of a cool idea. However, I've used it for about two days and dumped it after photos of women in tight tank tops started showing up from posters just looking for another place to screw around. Citizen Journalism is a great idea. Not for everyone This is a great application for those who love to read random stories about random things. If you thought this was a fact based news app, you're wrong. In the two weeks I've had this app, I've seen things from Obama Halloween costumes to new born babies. So if you're into seeing that stuff, then this is perfect.The app itself still needs some improvement, like that the view counter does not work, so each new article says it has 0 views. freakin awesome this is a great app. I find myself on it at least twice a day. very interesting to see and hear other opions on everything from politics to other area events. there are a few post here and there that shouldn't be but for the most part very well done by those that post

Great app for submitting content to CBS! This is a great app for sending content to CBS. It's really neat to see everyone’s submissions in the Recent Reports list. I realize that not every user likes to see all of the content people are sending to CBS News, but I feel like I am getting the purest possible view of the stories as they are unfolding. I just think It’s really cool to get the first look at what people are posting. Of course, some of the uploads were never really meant for broadcast, but there are also a lot of well thought out stories and videos popping up all the time. Oh yeah, I totally love the slider too! Great Potential For News Source I think this is a great idea. This app is extremely well designed and implemented. Very easy to use, you can quickly report the news as you see it happen and view reports from other users around the world. I read about this application on TechCrunch and agree with them, it's a cool concept. Not so great This COULD be a great application if it was used as it was intended. The intent of the program is to capture and send news items, as they happen, to CBS news. Instead, you find yourself going through repeated, idiotic uploads, such as pictures of family members, pets and the like. I downloaded it, reviewed the program and promptly deleted it. If you're looking for up to the minute news, this isn't the program for you. Very Cool App, you can report the news After a bit of use, I dig it. You can join as a 'journalist' and submit your own news stories. It allows you to either upload a picture you already have in your photo roll or take a new one that will be added to your photo roll. I noticed uploads seemed pretty fast, even on edge. You can then look at other 'journalists' reports. If only you could take video with the iPhone, Apple needs to get on top of that. There are some cool videos you can watch that it looks like people have uploaded from their computer. I look forward to future updates but for now it's a great app, way better than the Fox U Report.Now I just need to find some cool news to report so I can see it on my nightly news.The addition of 'newsworthy' reports is well needed. The "Funnest" App! This is easily the funniest app I own (and I have over 100). I have rarely laughed out loud so frequently. Go ahead and take a picture of the leaves on your plant and post a story about how you are afraid that your plant is going to grow and try and smother you in the dark of night.
